This may be a noob question, but what do how do you read those inputs as you write them? o.o I know H,M and are for Heavy, Medium and Low attacks respectively, but what's up with the numbers, those J's and S's and double X's?

Do u have a arcade stick? cuz i cant seem to get it with the crap ass ps3 controller how long did it take to learn that 2 and one more question, How did u do those repeated H atk like that. SICK! wat window did u squeeze that out of. its doesnt even look like u did feint hop. u canceled that quick.

also anyone recommend what is needed for a x23 team (assists wise), im thinking about picking up this characters but im not too sure what assists would be good to support her weaknesses
@tuber52 no, they cant. only wolvy, taskmaster, wesker, deadpool, felica, phoenix, dante, amaterasu, viewtiful joe, hsien-ko, morrigan, thor, zero and arthur can dhc. i recommend using deadpools otg assist and taskmaster since they are some of the games better characters. also, an assist with ranging is nice to help her get in and also can be used for cross ups with the medium feint hop ie taskmaster. zero is risky cuz you dont want to many characters with low health. hope this helped good luk
In all seriousness, capcom should award more damage for her combos. Instead of awarding a lot of damage to chars with easy dial a combo moves. I'd rather get owned by combos that took effort than gettn ez moded.

U can also do dante's jam session assist aftr doin her combo following up with ankle slice to do weapon X prime n if u hav enough meter aftr she finishes her special call dante to do devil trigger... n u will b able to do more damage...Possibly even down the enemy if u don't screw up...wen I use this combo I've always managed to wipe out the enemy

Normally what happens is one of two things: 1) I get Dante out, but my OTG whiffs (too late) or 2) i get the OTG to connect but Dante doesn't come out. I believe this is because X23 is still in recovery from her j.236L. Could you help me out with this?
@Nexxorcist the one I demonstrate vs. Viper? it lets you use your most powerful single hit move 5 times in one combo. that combo I show there does just under 680k dmaage with Wesker assist into dp super. s.H feint cancels are also one of the best ways to punish assists because you take little risk while you do it and damage doesn't scale as much
@RoninOmega7 Deadpool 's Katana-Rama is another really fast OTG while Akuma's Tatsu has enough hitstun to let you combo after your own OTG (plus it hits less times than cold star for less hit and damage scaling).
@MrProcrastin8 Its old fighting game jargon. Refers to the numbers on the numpad of the keyboard. The nine numbers represent the different direction you can push on a joystick.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but @0:52 don't you mean "mirage feint loop (214H)"? 236H is her command grab?
When I was experimenting with X-23's combos, I realized some variations of her loops don't work on all characters when it comes to launching them. Sometimes going into the s.M and s.H has them placed too high and I remedy that by eliminating the s.H before launching.
This is a great video and should be on the front page of any site that supports this game. :)
@LostChildOfTime Yeah, watching height is a key skill to have when it comes to X-23 combos. You don't want them too high, but you don't want them too low either or they will roll out of your combos early. Thanks for pointing out the typo BTW... almost every time I should have put 214H I put 236H instead :/

@AlexMustDie92 look at your numpad, J means jump, S means special (launch), and i'm not 100% sure, but it seems like the xx means cancel?

@mysticd808 just takes practice. the input kinda looks like
down + assist, down-towards, towards+M (hold)
you want to call the assist a tiny fraction of a second before you start charging ankle slicer
