  • u sound like the maid in familt guy :o

  • who in the hell mixes In the club with Single lady...wtf....

  • I have a tutorial on my channel if this didn't help...

  • Is there any reason to use Sound Forgrge to split tracks instead of Ableton ?

  • "HEY YOUTUBE" (IN HIS VOICE) 00:02

  • How do you make the tempo increase on it's own? I can't find how. Churs

  • that is musically shocking... i might just be going crazy but half them beats dont match up...

  • @HarryStockman yeh its definately shit dont worry

  • dude i only started using ableton weeks ago from reason and not doing anything digital, just been a guitarist.. now im getting into digital music im loving the fact that i can create any sound i imagine, anyway this is irrevelent but u are missing something that is making spend way more much time than u need to be doing that, email me, spok610@gmail.com would love o pass on some tricks and possibly even get some tricks, Peace!! from Australia

  • awful. most of its not even beat matched. try harder.

  • I would love to learn how to do this :)

  • This video has nothing to do with Ableton just you making a super shitty mashup and you editing the shit pieces to put into your poo

  • Why is it LESS hassle using a separate audio editor? Ableton edits perfectly in either window, then right click it to trim the bits you don't want - delete unused files from the Browser when you manage the project after 'Collect all and Save. I'm going to have to do a video, so many people learning the long way around.

  • damn, 7 parts?

  • how do u get to the mash up free hang to make it

  • U want mash up check out my video respone for a real mash up LOL

  • How do you add the acappella onto ableton. for example i have some acapellas on itunes and how do i add it into ableton, is it possible to convert wav into midi?

  • @KrackhauSwag you will be working with audio, not midi. just drag and drop the acapella .wav file into a Live's audio track.

  • @fdancekowski Oooo thats right, sorry stupid question haha, THANKS!! :D

  • Can you do this in Ableton Intro?

  • @iamconor probably not. you can't group tracks in Intro, and you can only use two send channels. also, you can only use 12 ableton effects per project and I believe I use more. it would have to be a way simpler/smaller project. also you have a maximum of 8 scenes per project in Intro, so no live performance either.

  • whats the audio file in blue if you dont mind me asking??

  • @Blu811 It's the intro riff from Ray Charles - Hit The Road Jack

  • no worries... thanks a lot for your reply and again for a groovy video!. peace

  • Thanks for your prompt reply. i usually use ableton's clip/sample section to edit my audio. this way i can warp/beat match. I also use it to loop sections using the position and length function or highlighting the area the way you did in your video. Has this not got the same result as sound forge?

  • @AUDIOMUNKY1 it's a matter of preference I suppose. but since I'm only interested in a few seconds of whole tracks, there's no point in importing everything into ableton live. I just cut out the parts I want as standalone loops, and when imported to Live there's barely any warping left to do. I think there's less hassle this way, more hdd space saved, and a more organized workflow.

  • hey man, great job and very clever indeed. just one thing...why didn't you edit this all in ableton?

  • @AUDIOMUNKY1 thanks man. Ableton Live is not an audio editor, so any destructive editing should be done in an audio editor. then use Live for sequencing.

  • how do you strip out different audio tracks (ie - vocals, drum beats, etc) from a song? Do you just download them somewhere or what?

  • @daisyrockerdude I've extracted some vocals and other parts myself, although the majority comes from clean loops in the tracks themselves. I also scour the internet for instrumentals and acapellas. Some of the samples also come from studio masters... etc. I'm planning on doing a video on where to find insts/accs/stems around the web soon.

  • @daisyrockerdude you get creative, like if you want vocals or just a certain vocal part, download the songs acapella version which is just vocals and then take the vocal part you want. drum beats you get an instrumental song version which is just the music, and you would find the part of the song that contains the beat by itself with no other sound effects then cut it and loop it. Look For These: Instrumentals, Acapellas, Drum Samples, Drum Loops, Vocal samples, vocal loops, and so on. Enjoy!

  • hey are you useing full version of sound forge?

  • @rushiraj Hi. Yes I am.

  • are you stoned bro?

  • man, why didn't you make this video before!? i've been waiting for a person like you for ages! thanks a lot for this tutorial. your videos deserve more views.

  • @Jeeyo12345 Thanks man. I had to figure out how to do it in Ableton Live first before telling it to the world hehe. They're fairly recent videos, I believe they will start having more views soon.
