@EdwardEnto The english subs are in annotations. If you didn't see them, it probably means there was a glitch and the annotations didn't show up for some reason. Try rewatching the video and see if they appear.

"Cirno's Perfect Math Class" is an arrangement of Cirno's theme "Beloved Tomboyish Daughter" and "Marisa Stole The Precious Thing" is based on Alice's theme "Doll Judgment". It's not just vocal songs either. All the themes have been arranged into every genre possible including jazz, metal, orchestral, eurobeat and many others.

I went to Comiket 80 2 days ago and I bought a copy of Touhou 13, Ten Desires!
I'm very happy with this,(sadly it wasn't handed by ZUN himself though, but I got close to him by 1 meter), I'm SO gonna play it, expecting I beat Hard difficulty soon.
It's one of the first videos I watched when getting into Touhou Project, and it taught me a lot.
Now months later, I've beaten 6-11 on Normal mode, two of the Extra's, and I'm even uploading my own gameplay onto Youtube. Now I'm working on 12, 13 when it comes out later today, and even the PC-98 games.
It's a fantastic game series, it truly is. I love everything about it, and I hope this continues to guide people like it did for me.
I remember a year ago when I was getting into Touhou, I tried the 8th game after the 6th and I definitely got confused with who was who. But then after failing at the 8th game I tried the 7th... I personally don't like the 8th game.
@Ingicrali I wouldn't feel to bad about that, Touhou 11 is one of the hardest in the series.
I'd recommend jumping into Normal mode sooner than later, or else you'll get to used to Easy mode, and Normal mode will suddenly feel like a pain later on.
You can always buy original Touhou games and the derivatives via internet mail order service even from outside Japan. Yes, it's true that the most "direct" way to get the copy is to go to Comiket (I've been there a few times), but there are also a lot of stores specialized for dealing indie games (e.g. Toranoana, Melonbooks etc) accepting mail orders. I've also put links at the description above dealing imported Japanese indie games. I got the copies via mail orders. Well I'm a Japanese anyway.
its a shame that about 99% of the people who are touhou fans in the states have pirated copies of the games. of course you cant really blame the fans for that i guess.. id be happy to give ZUN my money if i could read Japanese and figure out how to give it to him.

@AxFirez Fairy Wars is definitely not something that beginners should try since the game deliberately throws dense patterns at you in order to force you to use the bullet freeze mechanic. Imperishable Night would probably be the best one for a beginner to get into playing Touhou.

As a huge Touhou fan myself I found this video pretty informative (it doesn't help to have a refresher XD). Now I will show this to everyone I've ever told about Touhou.
It's true, I also started loving Touhou just because of all the awesome music, while I didn't know much about the game itself. This video quite answered some of my questions and I'd love to check the game out anytime soon.

I've been playing the Touhou games for almost a year now and I JUST recently beat EoSD with the good ending after months of trying and failing (mostly failing Dx). Thanks to the Internet, you can easily find Touhou fans, but it's much harder to find Touhou fans in real life, at least for me. Unless you can read Japanese, I recommend getting a torrent of the games and applying English patches to them.

Is there an english website? I've seen downloadable english patches on touhou wiki, but the full game has to be downloaded first, and a japanese locale is required to download the game, I tried going to the sites touhou wiki said I could download the game at, but it didn't say where I could get a japanese locale. So all the text on the sites was in symbols... I can't read japanese anyway, so I probably only need the locale so I can download the game, then get the english patch....

Lolwut. Higurashi is about homicidal children. How is that moe? Lucky Star is moe, and easily blows Higurashi out of the water. FFS, if you want seriousness in a TV show, go watch a drama, not an anime. Anime should be for stuff that passes the boundaries from reality to fiction, not senseless killings

It's true, I also started loving Touhou just because of all the awesome music, while I didn't know much about the game itself. This video quite answered some of my questions and I'd love to check the game out anytime soon.

I've been playing the Touhou games for almost a year now and I JUST recently beat EoSD with the good ending after months of trying and failing (mostly failing Dx). Thanks to the Internet, you can easily find Touhou fans, but it's much harder to find Touhou fans in real life, at least for me. Unless you can read Japanese, I recommend getting a torrent of the games and applying English patches to them.

Is there an english website? I've seen downloadable english patches on touhou wiki, but the full game has to be downloaded first, and a japanese locale is required to download the game, I tried going to the sites touhou wiki said I could download the game at, but it didn't say where I could get a japanese locale. So all the text on the sites was in symbols... I can't read japanese anyway, so I probably only need the locale so I can download the game, then get the english patch....
