nice man i have an 1982 mustang and im loving it but today my differential broke ( not sure) or my something of my axle ( im 17 so im newb at this) i hate my life right now.

Wish I never ever sold my 1986 Mercury Capri RS. Had a 306 with mass air conversion, cobra intake, 70mm throttle body, ported 91 heads, roller rockers, E303, 24lb injectors, 190lph pump, long tubes and 2.5" exhaust, decent suspension and brakes, 3.73, aluminum driveshaft. Sigh.... seeing awesome vids like this make me want a 5.0 again :(

I'm getting some decent performance out of stock GT40P heads in a flat-tappet motor with a pretty mild cam. Trapping 106 mph. Surprised me that's for sure. The heads are untouched.

@raineyj Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, #1400 emissions legal. The cam is a Crane Energizer 278H10 (.498/.498, 222/222 @ .050") Idles relatively smooth. MAC short tube headers and 2.25" duals. RPM intake manifold, stock GT40P heads, stock 1982 bottom end, stock pulleys, all accerssories, Maradyne E-fan, power everything, full car, NOTHING removed. I guess the combo is just perfect, the car runs exceptionally quick for what it is.

Go to the strip and make some passes. film it and post the vids. If you can beat a 12.07 et at a 114.8mph then you got me. Its a light car with a big camshaft, decent heads and big carb. I bought different colored interior parts and left the body rough so people dont see it as a threat. it aint the fastest car in the world but it aint no slouch. I have changed the carb since this video was made and I think I will get 11.90's this year at the strip

It's not a good idea. The c4 is a good tranny, but it wont handle the torque. In 6 mnths it will be toast. If you can find a c6 and get a shift kit for it, it tends to burn off about a 1/2 second at the track.
