  • You know, I originally didn't hold this album too well, especially after I had initially listened to Crucible of Man and even Dystopia, even though I only enjoyed about 3-4 songs from that album.

Regardless, it really only was after a long lonesome drive did I listen to this album, and I have to say, it's probably my favorite of Iced Earth.

It really helps explain a great deal of their other songs and albums especially Prophecy, which I originally thought was a song about 9/11.

    I love Iced Earth

  • ripper gave the most for the iced earth cause

  • Someone in an Iced Earth longsleeve is doing quite funny hand movements on the left center at about 3:26 :-)

  • 2:17 = "WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--YIIIEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAARGHHH!!"

    Motherfucker can scream.

  • i was actually hoping they'd have both owens and barlow doing dual vocals on Crucible of Man cuz both are amazing singers and having them both do vocals at the same time would be beyond epic

  • I'm more partial to Ripper myself. Barlow is a good singer but damn those falsettos are badass.

  • i like ripper in Iced Earth Better than Barlow. I think he fits style better

  • Barlow is a true great but he just can't hit Tim's wicked falsettos!!!

  • id have to say tim's vocals fit better on the something wicked albums better than matts

  • Matt Barlow IS the voice of Iced Earth, as the fans and Schaffer himself have come to express. But the undue stigma Tim received for filling those shoes has always irked me. The man is an amazing vocalist. Iced Earth would have been fine with him. Songs catered to his style like A charge to keep show that, in time, he could have bridged that gap.

  • @ExarKatarn

All I can say is: "Amen Brother!"

My first Iced Earth album was this one, and I was sold when I heard this song. He tears the cracks in the wall with his voice. Seeing him do this live is stunning. And I definitely like Barlow, but Owens is certainly brilliant in his own way. Btw, his performance on the new Avantasia is stunning as well :)

  • he screws some lyrics, but it's still amazing!! The Something Wicked Saga is so fucking epic

  • Tim Owens is the shit!

  • Oh my god...Overture has got to be one of the most amazing openings for an album ever. ^^ I'ma get to uploading the whole Something Wicked Pt. 1 once I figure out how to. =)

  • Cool! I love the Overture that opens this saga(and ends it) ,it's beautiful.

  • An mna,Tim must be one of the best singers in the world(right up there with Matt and Halford.

  • i totally agree dude!!

  • Horror Show was the first Album I ever heard of theirs. Then one day I bought The Blessed and the Damend and realized that this band was glorious!!! I have since bought every album with the exception of Crucible of Man cause I ain't got no money now lol.

  • What are some good Iced Earth Cds? I only have the cd with this song on it and the new one.

  • the CD with this song is the newest one!

I suggest Horror show! Matt Barlow is amazing you will be on your journey of becoming a fan of this amazing band.

  • Days of Purgatory or Something Wicked This Way Comes

  • Horror Show, Something Wicked This Way Comes

  • Try the Alive in Athens 3cd live album.

And Horror Show. I think those are the bests to get to know the band

  • the early iced earth cd's had different vocalists!!!!! i would say get the alive in athens cd... it has songs from all the cd's and has barlow on vocals!!!!! ....other wise dark saga. something wicked comes this way and horror show!!!! oh and framing armageddon pt 1!!!!!!

  • Dark Saga!

  • overture is the great too!

  • one of the best riffs ever @2.54... my fav part of the whole song starts at 2.54 i just love it!!!!the guitars are soo awesome!!!

  • It´s true

  • If ripper had been in iced earth before barlow.. no one would miss barlow. "varhainen lintu madon nappaa" vittu RIPPER RULES!

  • I can tell you that is one of the most dificult song to sing in teh history of metal...maybe saints in hell from judas, stargazer from rainbow, or gates of valhalla from manowar can be compared!!

  • Tim is awesome. The best song of the album probably.

  • you're absolutely iced-earthaly right

  • Don't forget about Cathedral Spires, or pretty much any song from The Glorious Burden.

  • overture is fucking good!

  • i could kill to view them, now ripper went

  • Oh my god... this is nothing but fucking amazing.

  • Man I love this song

  • This is quality! Hell yeah!

  • What was the whole setlist?

  • So f***ing great show and f***ing video.

Tanelorn666 you` ve recorded it realy f***ing great.

This is by far the best performance I have ever seen Owens give live ! Does any1 realise how hard this song is to sing ? I am still amazed he pulled it off.

"Like a virus man will spread..."

  • I have to say his screams sound amazing live..most looked forward to show ever for me! Iced Earth is the best!

  • This is awsesome and looks very familiar with the show of Milan...

    Great!

  • \m/ I can see clearly now

    A painful vision indeed

    An attempt at genocide,

    12,000 years of pain !!!! \m/
