Awesome footage. I've never actually been there.

A couple of years ago we went on an RV trip and ended up driving right around DC. I figured it would have been a pain in the ass to drive a 28 foot box through the city.

Yes please. They are packing for their trip with Uncle Brian as we speak. They're trained to move in slo-mo too, which is an added benefit.

Oh man we went thru loads of it that week and STILL managed to get burned in those stupid missed spots. I was impressed with how much the kids were into the war monuments and the memorials; they really enjoyed the trip.

I went to the WWII memorial a few yrs ago and felt odd putting my feet in but then someone explained they designed it for ppl to do it...

The kids had a blast.. how cool..

Yeah.. that's what happened to us. We were there for a convention which is usually held during the week of July 4th...There were TONS of people but it was still awesome.

And aside from the comfort of the cool water, it puts you in the position to look around and view the entire monument, don't you think? We stayed there a loooooong time. I think it's my favorite one in all of DC.

As capital cities go, and I've been to a number of them (DC, Mexico City, Quito, Tel Aviv, London, Dublin) I gotta say, they really do a nice job with DC. My favorite part in DC is the WWII memorial fountain too, where you started off this video so it was nice seeing that again. Reminds me of when I used to live in the area.

I love DC; I wish they'd clean up the lawn in the mall and the reflecting pool though; I was sad to see the condition of it.

I didn't notice the first time watching, but I just rewatched and it did look a little dirty in the pool, and geese poop along the side, as well as the paths being well trod and not much grass, but it didn't look that bad. Perhaps though you just didn't film the bad parts. I moved away from there 2 1/2 years ago so haven't seen it recently.
