Yes Avatar is not from Japan so its not an Anbime but except that its an American show its exactly the same as most Anime shows.

@Eternalsummersong One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist, Dragonball, Naruto, Bleach and hundreds of other adventure Anime shows.

Except that it was made in America its pretty much almost exactly the same as that kind of Adventure Anime shows.

The characters are very similar to the guys in those Animes, it got a big well made fantasy world like those kind of Animes, the storyline is very similar to those kinds of shows and lots of other reasons.

Thats why many people think Avatar is an Anime show.

Sounds like you dont watch many adventure Anime shows so probably thats why you cant understand what i mean.

@CyberLance26: I think when I stared to read fanfiction (I like to read and it's actually fun) I looked up DBZ.....well.....almost all the stories had all of the men gay and the women were stark raving lunatics. It seems to be a trend in gay fanfiction to make all women evil for some reason. It's creepy. But yeah I liked Bleach for a while and even Naruto but I just got bored with those shows. I DO love Soul Eater though and Clannad and a Lot of others. ^_^

The only reason there is so much gay fanfiction for DBZ is because most of the men are so strong looking.

Some people start thinking about Gay stuff right away if they see a man like that.

Um, no. Avatar is not responsible for the end of classic nick shows. In fact the classics disappeared slowly, not abruptly due to "gay combat shows". I say that started around the time spongebob came on (which has been running for about 10 years). It's just because of the changing times.

This commercial was responsible for me ever watching the show. My summer was boring and nothing was on television until I saw this commercial and decided to watch the show, I never really cared for anime either... but that all changed that week once I saw every episode including the series finale I was hooked like every other avatard before me. God what a damn good show it was. It remains to this day my favorite show and the only anime (if you call it that) I ever watched.

avatar, if you can explain to your parents, is a very good children's cartoon, not japanese animated. I think thats why you can't watch anime, bc there are some japanese anime that are a bit racey.

it is a very neat CARTOON with pretty good morals here and there in the cartoon

yeah im with you on that shes in her ninja outfit so it has to the southern raiders episode the scream sounds like shes frustrated then remember in the NYCC clip she bends the rain all angry so maybe the scream is right before that...

I'm fine with that, in fact I hope that is what the case is. Dark Katara is awesome :D My complaint is that this particular scream is a widely used canned effect that was not done by the voice actress for Katara. I'd bet a lot of money that in the episode it's actually a grunt of exertion or anger, not a scream.
