Nor do the unemployment figures ever take into account the millions of people who cannot find work and are no longer collecting unemployment. The govt.'s figures are misleading, as they only tell us how many people are currently collecting unemployment compensation. The true unemployment figure is probably closer to 20%, if not higher, and steadily rising.

There are many things that can be done, but always remember that knowledge is power.

I assume you are an informed individual on topics that affect you and the world you live in. Maybe you stand up for what's right in the world, to make it a better place for you and others. Spread this type of information to those who seem to rely on "corporate mainstream media" for their information. Speaking truth to power is a liberating thing!

My big concern is when President Barack Obama takes over in 2009 that everything, the Iraq war, saber rattling Bush Admin with Iran, new diffculties with Russia, economy,federal deficit,foreclosures et al with be so unmangeable that everybody will blame the future President Obama for all the blunders and incompetance of the previous Bush adminstration. I hope Obama has some tricks up his sleeve cause he is going to need them to deal with the Imperially F#@ked up world.

The two most phony statistics are inflation and unemployment- inflation stats don't count food and energy not sure about medical and education cost? these are the big cost for the average working person- unemployment was changed to only count those collecting unemployment benefits which were shortened thus any comparison to previous unemployment stats are not valid

Do you find it kind of surreal experience talking to people about this stuff. When I do, I often feel like I'm living in an alternate reality. If I was a less confident person, I think I would seriously question my own sanity sometimes. I think this is how a lot of people are, actually. Deep down, they know things are going horribly wrong, and yet they look around and everyone else is whistling and looking at their feet and smiling nervously and so they just go along.

Yeah I know what you mean Feelfree. I just showed a neighbor the video 9-11 Mysteries and he was blown away!! He copied the link and was heading to his mothers home to show his parents! I dont know where to start sometimes when talking to a "novice" in these issues. You dont want to blow them away all at once so I usually suggest 9-11 Mysteries and Zeitgeist to get the ball rolling so to speak. Very surreal because so many people havent a clue. 55ella2007k, things will change when the american people come together and say no more, and citizen arrest those complicit in crimes against our constitution and violators of the Geneva Convention.

Things are bad and will get worse, but that will change, all it takes is a little bit of will from the people. Heck, even a large flux of War Mongers will join us after the crash.
