@oahmed97 that bike will be fine for your height, always good to get the suspension professionaly adjusted for your weight though makes a huge difference in the bikes handling, should just get a 600 though, lighter and make almost the same amount of power
the guy that sold me the b1ke 1s also 200 lbs and he r1des l1ke a beast~!!!! he has gotten 1t up to 190 M1les, just 1mag1ne!!!!! he tought me everyth1ng 1 know, r1d1n 1s not bout s1ze noob, r1d1ng 1s bout sk1llz.... learn that
@AnonymousGamingz the only thing I changed on my old 600 was the headlight. The suspension sits up pretty high when it hasnt been altered. You shouldnt have a problem at all. Gsxr are good bikes and there comfortable. Hope you have fun and stay safe.
sexy bike bro, and very smart of you to be wearing full gear. these E-Thugs in here talk all this crap and dont even have a dam bike. keep riding bro. I'm an r1 rider myself but i want one of these too if i can find one for a good price
You look good on the bike! I'm a tall rider myself, maybe 190cm or 6'3". Pinch the tank with your knees, this helps tall riders keep pressure of your wrists.
Some people still talk trash about me being a big guy with a sport bike, until I get off my bike that is. Don't listen to these punks, we can't all be skinny little asian girls.
Who cares how big you are, the bike won't when it dumps you on your ass for not being able to handle it. Some people might say the same about me, cause Im 6'2" 190lbs and I just got a 05 Gixxer 750 for my 1st bike. There is no big difference in size from the 600 to the 1000. The bigger the bike the bigger the engine and better your skills had better be because when you get into a bad situation because the bike is too fast these comments wont save you from getting hurt or worse.
and 1000 all have the same ride height and size, only a busa or 14zx and a few lesser known sport touring are any bigger. im 6 7 and 280lbs, i had some one ask me if i was on a 50cc aprilia rs it was the k5 gsxr 1000 naked. funny shit.
does anyone know how tall this guy look? looks like his 6'3'' . Reason for asking is because i just bought one of this toys at a durt cheap price and i want to know if im too tall (look too big) for this bike!!! anyone here around 6 feet???
if you care what you look like to others dont get it. cause you will certainly drop the bike at sppeed eventually and be scarred up and look odd then too.
so ridin around in the city he's just gonna drop it at speed... watta joke, when you push the limits is when it gets dropped, ride safely and there's no problems
Yea no one gets in accidents around town. I've been on sport bikes since the F2 was new. Shit happens its called being "dead right". You do everything right and you still get clipped by some tank of a car and end up dead. Wear your gear, say your prayers, and know its not asin to die doing what you love. i haven't been down in 3 years but its coming. Ill be ready with leathers, gloves and a good lid ready to slide my ass off. lol.
Dont worry about it just enjoy the machine, To give you an idea the sports bikes such as the gsxr k6 k7 which is what I have are quite small im 5''6 and can ride this bike with no struggles in touching the floor and leaning into the aerodynamic position. Just enjoy it and dont care what anybody says.
Its cause the handling is better, easier to flick about on, better through traffic. I know it sucks for the larger people out there but for us normal size peeps, they are just about right these days.....some of those old bikes were just monstrous.
Feuri111, don't be a douche. It's his new bike and he says it's his first time on it, of course he's not going to be getting his knee down, popping wheelies and doing endo's. Lovely bike though mate, ride hard and stay safe!
guys... i really want to get into riding a bike, i currently own and ride a dirtbike. I'm wondering if a sport bike feels really heavy under you when you're on the road? can you manuver well?
but no a sport bike dosent really feel heavy when you are in motion the bike holds itself up. believe it or not you are more likely to drop a bike siting still than going down the highway because momentum holds it up.
im just asking because i wanted to get a gsxr but i didnt know which one to get the 600 750 or the 1000 and i dnt want the bike to look small when im on it.
ok if your between 5'7-5'11 a 600 and a 750 will be great if your 5'11-6'3 get 100 if your more than 6'3 go get a busa, but go try the bikes first dont listen to what other people say so just buy the bike that feels right
that was the worst advice ever... since when did skill and experience get replaced by weight and height to determine what cc to get? Ergonomically all the bikes mentioned are the same, with the mention of the busa as an exception..but seriously dude? A new 6 ft 3 250lb rider (me) should get a busa??? naw man. I admit a 250 can be a good starting place to build confidence as well as a 600cc for resposible learning...but one can get killed easily on either
are u high a 250 is way to slow if you just wanna ride around the city and go slow thats the bike and if u wanna live life get a 1000 or a 600 just be careful and a 6'3ft guy on a 250? that is just silly
yo dumbass. a 1k is the same fuckin size. the only size diference is inside the thing they call the m.o.t.o.r......god damn poser. and agree with the dude that said riding is not about looking cool man. if thats why you ride then you are the assholes out there who ruin it for true riders! pussy!
LMFAO you are the real dumb ass, cause you see i never said there was a difference ( and you need to learn how to spell the word if your going to use it) al I said was an O.P.I.N.I.O.N... so stop taking what everyone say so serious, its called the internet.... and stop giving me thumbs down just cause your the only one the didn't understand what I said.....but i cant wait to see you type like your a big tough guy and mouth off to what i just typed......lol......... If your gonna wear all that gear you have to do something more than give it quarter throttle. Maybe a small wheelie idk something interesting. You looked like a big stiff. No offense.
If it's a brand new bike, he's not doing anything like that until after the break in period. And I doubt he wants to start stunting with it on the first hour of having it.
ive rode dirt bikes for 8 years or so, the biggest one i got up to was a ktm 125 do you think i will be ok to ride a gsxr 600 or 750? or is it 100% different?
i rode/race motocross for 6 years and went to a 2001 gsxr 600 with ease, does take some getting use to, in motocross you tend to lean to the outside of a corner when turning on a sport bike you wanna lean in stuff like that but just takes some getting use to. dont push yourself and you will be fine. have the bike basics helps alot i found.
defenitaly gixxer 750....this is in my opinion the best sportsbike money can buy!!! you have the lightness and agility of a 600 cc and the power of a 1000! No bike will give you riding pleasure like the 750! and for me this aint middle class ^^
Bend your arms a bit man, try not to straight arm it like that. I know its hard when your a bigger guy, I'm 6'2, but trust me, you will enjoy the ride a lot more.
Is this track used in porno films ??? LOVE IT ! lol Very psychadelic, shag-worthy...Austin Powers would LOVE this tune in his 'Shag-uar'...go the gixxa !
750's are a much better balance. Think of them as the lighter better handling machines that can still perform with the 1000's & on the upper end of the power curve of the smaller bore bikes all wrapped up in one bike.
and to be honest i prefer 250's lol. wen i upgrade in to a 600rr in a few months ill be keeping my FZX250. Fast as hell down low, but unlike the bigger bikes it is forgiving. For general commuting and street use i dont want to have to worry about giving it too much throttle, trying to keep the front wheel down or the back wheel from sliding out.
It's not about size. It's about power. I road race and have been for years and liter bikes (1000's) are still a little intimidating to me. How many knew that every liter bike does about a hundred mile per hour and even a few more in first gear? 600's are all anybody needs. 0-60 is less than three seconds if you can make the bike do it. Top speeds of over 160mph. Most squids riding liters can't hardly ride them anyway.
I agree with Jimbabewe40. If I'm going around town I don't wear the gear. If I know I'm gonna be going on the highway or long distance trips then def I will wear them, but on a hot day... nah..
wearing leathers is smart but in reality riding a motorcycle is dangerous and leather alone wont protect you from blunt objects, I prefer not to wear leathers when im just crusing around, its just something i prefer because deep in our hearts we all ride motorcycles to look cool and if you disagree your a f'n liar. When you ride a motorcycle you should know the consequences. I'll only wear leathers when im dragging knee on track days. Peace ya'll and be safe.
Even tho I'm tall, I still want a bike I can throw around. The Hayabusa is still too heavy. ZX-10Rs r not bad. The old model, not the new ugly one. I think the Kawasaki's are a bit bigger than the other brands.
im five foot 9-10, is this bike suitable for my height?

You are way too big for that bike Sir. I am 180 cm and have a zx6r, any taller and would have to be getting a 1000cc machine.

EmortalCreek 2 years ago 9
I agree gxr are very good bikes. i had one for many years now i changed to an R1 and its a lot more brutal ride + i get better laptimes ^^
jebbadiah 2 years ago 3
I am thinking now about which middleclass sportbike i should buy... A GSX-750 or R6?
R6 has a good sound but gsx looks better...
EmortalCreek 2 years ago
defenitaly gixxer 750....this is in my opinion the best sportsbike money can buy!!! you have the lightness and agility of a 600 cc and the power of a 1000! No bike will give you riding pleasure like the 750! and for me this aint middle class ^^
have fun be safe on the road!! ;)

All the sport bikes are pretty competitive with one another. It's more a matter of preference than anything else.

Bend your arms a bit man, try not to straight arm it like that. I know its hard when your a bigger guy, I'm 6'2, but trust me, you will enjoy the ride a lot more.

man can u plz tell me what motivated you to buy a 750?
i mean, i feel that if i would ride a gsxr750, id be getting outmaneuvered by 600s all day long and outmuscled by 1000s all day long
can you tell me more bout this machine?
lobzdik 3 years ago
750 is same size and weight as 600 with alot more grunt and lighter than 1000 will keep up with 1000 around tight stuff no worries
dakos2006 3 years ago
750's are a much better balance. Think of them as the lighter better handling machines that can still perform with the 1000's & on the upper end of the power curve of the smaller bore bikes all wrapped up in one bike.
Daywalkertwentyseven 3 years ago
you look way to big for that little bike
snspusher 3 years ago
and to be honest i prefer 250's lol. wen i upgrade in to a 600rr in a few months ill be keeping my FZX250. Fast as hell down low, but unlike the bigger bikes it is forgiving. For general commuting and street use i dont want to have to worry about giving it too much throttle, trying to keep the front wheel down or the back wheel from sliding out.
stavencapp 3 years ago
It's not about size. It's about power. I road race and have been for years and liter bikes (1000's) are still a little intimidating to me. How many knew that every liter bike does about a hundred mile per hour and even a few more in first gear? 600's are all anybody needs. 0-60 is less than three seconds if you can make the bike do it. Top speeds of over 160mph. Most squids riding liters can't hardly ride them anyway.
GXSRman 3 years ago 5
i agree. and here, the cost of insurance for a gsxr1000 compared to a gsxr600 is HUGE.
Plus fuel economy. 600 is all u need. or a 750
stavencapp 3 years ago
as fuel goes, theres not a huge difference between 1000s and 600s...
AviaMarine 3 years ago
i beg to differ on that. i have ridden both a CBR600rr and a gixxer1000. there was a huge difference in fuel economy. Especially on city riding.

you might not wear gear but just remember anything can happend
bnchjwlr74 3 years ago
nice bike, you should be proud.
DXaustad 3 years ago 4
I agree with Jimbabewe40. If I'm going around town I don't wear the gear. If I know I'm gonna be going on the highway or long distance trips then def I will wear them, but on a hot day... nah..
bazzelaki 3 years ago
that makes no sense. your more likely to have anj accident just going down to the shops or we, getting hit by a car.
stavencapp 3 years ago
wearing leathers is smart but in reality riding a motorcycle is dangerous and leather alone wont protect you from blunt objects, I prefer not to wear leathers when im just crusing around, its just something i prefer because deep in our hearts we all ride motorcycles to look cool and if you disagree your a f'n liar. When you ride a motorcycle you should know the consequences. I'll only wear leathers when im dragging knee on track days. Peace ya'll and be safe.

totally agree at least you get what im saying

i agree 100000000%

We all dont ride motorcycles to look cool, that is why i mostly do night rides. If you do it to look cool then you are a tool =/

Yeah, nice looking bike but I'm 6'4", so I guess I'll never get one. Too small. I'll have to take an R1 or zx6r instead.

and i thought it was too small for me i'm 6'1
Wh not get a hayabusa?
esters45 3 years ago
Even tho I'm tall, I still want a bike I can throw around. The Hayabusa is still too heavy. ZX-10Rs r not bad. The old model, not the new ugly one. I think the Kawasaki's are a bit bigger than the other brands.
