I really liked this part, but the level design is SO MEAN. I just lost like 12 lives trying to make it to the end. It's the first time I play this game for real, and not watching someone playing as a child.

No joke I am the queen of this level. Played it hundreds of times as a kid until I had it memorized. Knew exactly when to jump to get all the balloons and bananas and win it every time. I lost so many lives learning to beat it, but got to where I earned lives playing it. Only game I was ever good at.

This is a super easy stage jump over the very first barrel and stay to the wall and there is secret barrel that takes you all the way to the end of the stage. This was a super nice job tho.

What's even more ridiculous is that it's right there at the beginning of the game, barely 10% completed and what do you get? This damn level. I can only guess how many tears were spillt by little kids because of this one. It's not ethical dammit.

when i was a kid, this level made me completely give up on Donkey Kong Country. Even rediscovering it in adulthood and beating it, I found this to be the most difficult level in the game even compared to the later on rails levels. I love it now though. such a fun and challenging level.

You know, if you jump into the pit right behind the first blast barrel, you can hit a warp barrel that will take you to the end of the stage with only one enemy to deal with. You might have known that though.
