This was never a legal issue for anyone on the right that I know, it's an emotional one. Those that are opposed to the building site of the mosque, especially New Yorkers have the right to protest, 9/11 happened in thier back yard! The fact that part of one of the planes that was flown into the towers hit this building makes the proposed mosque building a ground zero site, surely any rational person can understand that.

Much of the history was vile but was descriptive, not prescriptive. Christians have a new covenant and are not bound by the laws which called for execution for not observing the sabbath or committing adultery. We can eat shellfish and bacon cheeseburgers as well.

This was never a legal issue for anyone on the right that I know, it's an emotional one. Those that are opposed to the building site of the mosque, especially New Yorkers have the right to protest, 9/11 happened in thier back yard! The fact that part of one of the planes that was flown into the towers hit this building makes the proposed mosque building a ground zero site, surely any rational person can understand that.
