you know, I'd seen this video of yours before and the angle difference between the beams didn't even occur to me. I guess it's either parabolic reflector or lense for collecting eh? Anyway, keep the hits coming, you do great work!
Dan, I love your work! I'm especially interested in softening and melting metal with these large fresie lenses. Here's an idea, you know those 4 or 8 leaf mirrored sun collectors that often go around the door of solar ovens? what if a similar design were applied to one of these lenses? Is it too much for the acrylic?
Thank you for the nice comment and great idea:-) The only issue with mirrors/reflectors is the fact that they would have 4 different angles even though focused on one spot the lens would not allow them to merge like regular glass in an oven. If you have a magnifying glass at home take 2 flashlights, one straight on to create a focal point the sun and another off to the side representing the sun from a mirrored reflector you can never get both focal points to match. Well bugmanx, it's quite obvious that you are the idiot. I'm aware that this is a large magnifying glass and not a laser, I'm also aware that laser is not spelled with a Z.
You should also try writing comments about peoples spelling correctly.
