@Boddhaa Hey, sorry for the late reply, the gauge i always use are 10's....i used to use 11's but they are a bit to harsh on the fingers..... 9's and lower are simply to thin and sound a little too week.
dang, it's really a pleasure to watch your videos!! your playing is so accurate and not that "basic" stuff.. AND for the first time ever i'm hearing an eleven rack that sounds so awesome.. respect dude!!
That was a great video of you playing some clean riffs on that 11 rack with the video effects of the dead thrown in. As always good clean sound with no flaws. So unlike many of the hackers trying to make an impression on youTube.
That was well worth watching. Thanks for the invite.
Nice Gibson also, I see it has some seasoned use about it, nice.
Obviously, the four decrepits are style seekers and not true musicians. Why else could they have cared to spend their time negatively.
You do the 11 Rack proud my friend. You are correct in that it does perform much better than the Boss GT 10. Boss will have the new flavor of the month out soon, but this one will remain a staple for some time to come. Like my Johnson Millenniums and the Digitech 2120's, some of that stuf just hangs around forever (like Herpes) because it deserves to. The 11 rack is a great piece of gear and you always do great job demonstrating that. Loving the sinister laugh at the end too!
@groovydjs Thanks for the great comments my friend...you have some good stuff on your channel....everyone should check it out....i like the new vid you have done, the country lead stuff!!!
@rollthelosingdice Hey, well your almost right i did try to use the riff but i had to change the rhythm to make it work....its a dead simple riff but sounds really heavy.
Thanks MUCHO for the post. Not only some great sound & excellent guitar playing, but helped me discover some of the BETTER Guitar systems to choose from. I am planning a priimary guitar rig upgrade w/intent to keep my RP21d as a MIDI foot controller. Fractal Audio Axe-FX, Digidesign Eleven Rack (use here?) & Line 6 X3 pro. are all rigs I hadn't heard of yet; are there more HIGH end rigs? I have had my eye on the Boss-GT-10 & now re-thinking that.
@GenXFuturist101 Hi, if i were you i would forget the Boss GT 10, and go for the Digidesign Eleven Rack.....i have heard the AXE FX is also very good but to be honest ive never heard one or played through one.
@GenXFuturist101 I've heard that the fractal audio FX is by far the best, in term of how many different tones you can get and the amazing quality of all of them. It does cost a pretty penny though. It all comes down to what you like best
i think you should take a listen to some of Duane Eddy`s cds and select a track...with your talent you will be going far into those rocking charts...real r n r...keep me informed Mark
Nobody after seeing this video can doubt that we are hear a great guitarist!, but I must be honest I never liked the Heavy Metal, and respect very much the genre like all genres of music because music is universal language...BTW The Heavy Metal ballads song is Awesome to me!!!, anyway we know that Heavy Metal has millions of followers in the world!, and thousands of good guitarists, You are one of them! Good Work! Keep Rockin'
Very nice, Mark.Love the LP Custom neck. Best neck and fretboard Gibson never made. I used to have a '67 LP/SG custom with the exact same neck and fretboard. It was the fretless wonder Gibson used to make back in the '60's. Ultra fast neck and frets. You can see it on my bg page. (White guitar)
Awesome Mark! I love your technique,,, * extremely sophisticated and yet superb improv mixed in as well....... Great the way the rhythm was panned all the way to one side and the solo panned about 75% to the other, Fantastic sound and excellent editing * thumbs up as usual my friend * rock on!,
@TheFiddlah Thanks John, i need a little of your expert advice, the panning you mention appears to be done on Pro-tools almost by itself....when i use the "Haas Guitar Doubler" for the lead it pans it to the right about 75% like you say.....do you know why?
@MarkyGRocks Hello Mark, yes I can help...It took me a while to figure that out as well. When you use most effects, there is always a ratio of (wet vs dry). At anytime when there is an effect used the wet portion will come across one side and the dry will come across the other to some degree. Some effects such as simple reverb sometimes have an equal ratio to both sides but just about all effects will separate, and that's where you get the pan without planning on it. *Hope this helps buddy, John
@TheFiddlah Thanks John, i wonder if i pan the lead the opposite side it will counter it, or maybe that will lose the effect altogether......i'l have a go on the one i'm recording now.
Hi, what program do you use for the video editing? ;D
