Dumbass this is not Thai. It is a fruit that grows all over the sub tropical areas of Southeast asia. I was eating these when i was in Cambodia, and Laos. Unfortunately, the mangosteen I purchased at my local Asian market was expensive and not like what's shown in this video. The outer shell was very hard and most fruits ended up being rotten on the inside. It's $7.99 a pound and each bag of fruit weighs around 1.5 - 2 pounds. I wish I could get it a little fresher!

Its very simple to open it you just need to take the head of and squeeze it to open you don't even need a knife to open it
