This is a Longnose Batfish, they are found in deep lightless waters of the indian, atlantic and western pasific oceans. However, some New World genera live in much shallower coastal waters and river estuaries.
Cool..I wonder it is a biological exsperiment of some type or something that developed on it`s own. We can`t deny they do this stuff in labs.
their starting to openly admit genetic minipulations of species.. Hell people have done it for years with dogs.. Is this in the ocean? Maybe captian Nemo had a hand in this...LOL....LOL
I know what you have! A appointment to the optometrist! That would be called a 'Kangalooroasafishy' I made it up... P.S. IT eats photoshoppers so watch out...
Hey, I'm no expert, but because it appears to be almost 'walking' on its fins/legs it could be a degenerate style of Frogfish, apart from that, no clue! =P
crazyyyyy looking batfish.Oh and if your lucky, you probably found a new species of batfish. its a bird, its a plane, no its evolution at work... I bet it's tasty when cooked
You're all crazy! It's a Shortnose Batfish, native to the Eastern Atlantic. Ironically the name "Shortnose" is given to the fish with the longest nose in the family...
check out nat'l geographic plesiosaur you tube. There was some kind of fishbird but they made it w/big toe feet and I don't know how big it was. Some remake of an extinct thing. Just a thought
Omg!I was visting my cousin cause we were both in flordia and he said lets go near the mangroves and m lke lookng and crabs and hes like LOOOOKK And i go and look and it dives away we follow it but then it went off shore to much to follow it
Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus. Other wise known as SCUBA, duh man, or maybe he has gills, evolution seems to come quite quickly these days
OMG I saw something exactly like this at my cottage in ontario on goergian bay. I was laying on my dock looking into the water and then something moved a bit and I just noticed its shadow I looked closer and my dog started running over and shaking the dock and it like hopped once and then swam away.
I believe I seen somethign simular to this up here in Ohio, in a former neighbor's Pond, He had this paddle boat and was up partially on the bank so I hadpuddle it slightly out of position and the something with this simkular shape darted from underneath the back of the boat to the deeper depths of the pond. was the damnedest thing I ever seen in that pond. however still seen an even more strange creature whilst fishing but that is another story.
Without a shadow of dubt - thats fish from Ogcocephalidae family. I don't remember what species exactly, but I'm 100% sure its from this family. It could be Ogcocephalus darwini, but I don't mind if it live in Yucatan peninsula waters (thats were Belize is situated).
