because if re5 had infinite wave + 5 sec. time boost u could get millions of points and like 20 minutes on the clock. so they wanted re5 to make more logical sense.

That is because they defeated all of the 150 enemies on that stage. Once you manage to do that, the game just ends and your score increases by how much remaining time you have left.

Thanks for the clarification. I've also since learned that there are only 150 enemies per stage. If you're able to kill them all you get a bonus for the amount of time remaining on the clock as well.

Your score has to be over 150.000 then you get an SS.

The time which was left when beating 150 enemies is added to the score by approximately 1000 pieces of 1 second computation.

I've been doing this level a lot, currently have 460,000 points on it but I think we could get higher if both players were Wesker (he's always Jill). These two guy got lucky in that they rarely got grabbed (combo death) or get hit in the most inopportune times.

that's how the japanese are on the leaderboards so high. they do the 5 second melee bonuses all the time. that is a good technique. IT IS THE KEY TO GET ON TOP.

Time bonus is the only thing that gives the points. I got 1 SS rank, and that was on Shipment with Chris (BSAA) and some random person Sheva (Tribal)

The good thing about prison is that enemies will always go for you no matter where you are. In other levels after a while you actually have to go and look for the remaining enemies. Which can be a real pain, specially in the missile site and the ship.

The thing is, I'm a hardcore gamer of RE5 over-all, but I don't take the time to learn every aspect of mercenaries. That's my only falter. I consistantly get A rank.

But I did try usin' Wesker once after seeing this and got Solo SS on Public Assembly with a score of 120,000+ so I don't give props to anyone who uses him. He is basically rigged for High Scores.

Well yes, Wesker does make things easier, still, these guys deserve praise for not only playing well with Wesker, but for getting such a high score. Either if you're playing alone or in duo this level needs someone with heavy fire power to take care of the executioners, otherwise you would kill your combo constantly.
