  • 19 people play me the song of dead :P

  • i just wanna know if Morricone himself likes this. Or if not, if Morricones grand kids like this, and if yes, that they all of a sudden see their grandpa in a new "cool" light .....

    cool piece of music ...

  • Let´s dub¡¡

  • I'm liking this piece the harmonica part comes from "Once Upon A Time In The West" a western in which I like starring Charles Bronson.

  • Comment removed

  • It's all about death rattles and choking punks.

  • I searched for this song for one whole year, today I finally found it...it's amazing, a masterpiece.

  • @Hilezkor777 brilliant. If you came here because of the Sopranos, you should check out the Wikipedida page of its music. It has a listing of all music used over the end credits of each episode and says what episode its from! wiki/Music_on_The_Sopranos

  • just got thru watching whoever did this episode.....

    this song gives me goosebumps....

    long live Tony Soprano!

  • Pie-o-My :(

  • @Sessioni hahahah, tragic right?

  • I love the original to bits and pieces ... but THIS ... IS FUCKING AWESOME. Capital letters required, yes. X3 <3

  • i dig this. i thought it was going to get all rediculous, but no, kept it classy. i think it could be a bit more menacing tho

  • fuck uncle pussy

  • I can't find this version. I only see the version that's three and a half minutes long. Anyone want to point me in the right direction?

  • @batboyjhg i found it on Morricone Rmx 2001

  • @batboyjhg what do you mean you can't find this version?

  • fuck it,Ralphie was a piece of shit anyway

  • @timberbeastnz yea but he didnt go "by the book". he got whacked because of personal issues with Tony. if he rly had to go it shouldve been when he killed that girl over the badabing.

  • what do ya know about a man ,going around playing a harmonica.

  • es perfecto coño.....

  • RALPH!!!!!!!!

  • Christophaaar!

  • cooooollaabaaaaa

  • They were all alive before they met you, Frank.

  • classic

  • 18 people who rated this song are "Morricones"... If you get my drift.

  • @WTFTheater I disagree with saying the people who disliked it are Morricones, Ennio Morricone is a legend lol. More like a god if you're into westerns- which anyone who considers themselves a man should be

  • @WTFTheater so lets just say that the people that disliked this song are dicks!

  • There's no 5:40 0.0

  • @TheSirFindus fgdsfgd

  • @enchantertim89 I think your keyboard doesn't work right.

  • @TheSirFindus sorry bout that, what I meant was; LOL LMFAO ROFLCOPTER, am i duin it rite?

  • I started watching the whole series again, and Whoever Did This just came up... I think that episode has all the elements which made The Sopranos the greatest TV show: rich characterization, subtle & sometimes amusing allusions (the Sympathy for the Devil quotes), really repulsive violence (violence that's not hard to watch is not made right IMO), and questions that are left open for the viewer to answer (did Ralphie really have anything to do with Pie-O-My's death?).

  • @Probolkoc Yes! Is it really not that obvious? Ralphie burnt down the stables where Pie O My was because a) he resented Tony's involvement with HIS horse (further displaying Tony's sociopathic traits), b) he needed the insurance money. . .

  • @cl0ve0il But the kid's medical bills were covered by Ralphie's union's insurance, yes? And, since he was the crew's best earner & had started a $20 k-per-year scholarship fund in Jackie Jr.'s name he probably didn't need the money. Although, since Christopher knows about the burning (he offers Tony his condolences when nobody but Tony had been informed about Pie-O-My's death) it way well have been arranged.

  • I dunno much about The Sopranos, but I love Apollo 440!

  • I love CHILL XM, I love you!

  • once upon a time in the west !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Poor Pie Oh My, this was my favourite episode.

  • the way tony just walks out from the dark bada bing into the blinding white light after a whole evening and night getting rid of ralphs body. my god. so amazing. this episode was a feat.

  • @UlyssesFrankfurter Yeah I watch that ending all the time before I have to do something big, takes my mind to another place.

  • @DjCootABanG its such a cool ending too

  • So much emotion in this song.

  • ah the memories, burnt horses and ralphies dismemberment.......

  • Finally, found this song! Didn't know the name of the artist or title, but I found it...I remembered hearing this during the ending of The Sopranos. When Tony and Christopher(or Christophaaaa),just killed off Ralphie! There were something spooky about that episode--can't really explain, but it was just eerie along with this song...

  • @TheMonolith75 Well,Tony killed Ralphie...Christopher(or Christophaaa) just help chop Ralphie up...My Bad!

  • nice version, but nothing compared to the original

  • Does this song creep anyone out at all?

  • @venausar1 Me

  • The Sopranos !!!

  • THIS IS SO AWESOME!!!!! TUMB UP!

  • Holy shit Ennio Morricone?

  • @PanzerFrog Muhahah! Yes! And that ROCKS! x]

  • The final a la The Searchers.

  • Ennio Morricone ROCKS, AND SO DOES THE TONE!!!!!

  • Johnny Sack RIP Moltisanti RIP.......Tony Soprano...????

  • @burundi17 i think its brilliant how, after 3/4 years??? after the show ended, we are still debating wether or not tony is dead, no one has a definitive answer, just shows how brilliant chase was in his writing, definetely love if it left it open to a movie, sopranos was just class

  • @burundi17 I'm working my way through the Sopranos for the first time (only started about a month ago when I saw the first episode on Sky Atlantic), currently on Season 4 Episode 9 (Just finished watching 'Whoever Did This' - fantastic episode, up there with Pine Barrens and Funhouse).

Thanks for ruining the rest of the series for me.

  • she was a beautiful innocent creature what did she ever do to you!!

  • Christophaaa!

  • @Mike0z09 Tony's eyes!

  • @Mike0z09 Sonf of a bitch! Stole my idea...

  • @Mike0z09 such a good ending to that episode, out the door and straight into the music!

  • this song is wonderful! It is typical apollo 440 but still i have that feeling being in one of the best western movie ever made... amazing! thank you apollo 440! :-)

  • damn I search this song about a month !

    I think it's the best version !!

  • original, unusual and utterly absorbing.....Morricone's music is spellbinding

  • @Lossmi4 : gotta disagree with you on that bro, indeed most music today is shite but the same goes for the 60s, it's just the good ones that are played today.

Applies to every field btw, films, music, tv-shows, hell even paintings; 95 percent is shite, 4 percent is ok and maybe 1 percent is good.

  • This song was also in the CSI: Miami episode "All In" in which Horatio and the team race to find out who kidnapped Calleigh Duquesne and rescue her before she winds up dead. Great music.

  • my head

  • @pascal26in: What is amazing about this being composed in the 60's? Today's music is shite.

  • I LOVE THE SOPRANOS. Tony, walk out of the Bing and its just another day in Jersey.

  • was this song in sopranos??

  • @klynch08 Yes... it plays at the end of the "Whoever did this" episode

  • Good God Allmigthy!!!! Apollo 440 plus Ennio Morricone... If you excuse me, i have to go change my panties. :D

  • best ending to a television show ever!! it does not get any better than this! I could watch this ending of the sopranos all the time and never get tired f it. it's just perfect!

  • This is great with the music, but I didn't get any visuals

  • As Oyin pointed out, this was when the Sopranos took a dark turn. Tony displays his true sociopathic side and this tune (as ever for the whole series) is spot on. The calm intro that drops into a calm but menacing middle section, then back to the tranquil end.

Also the harmonica at the beginning is very close to The Orb's "Little Fluffy Clouds" - another awesome tune.

  • this theme is terrible, the original one is a lot better

  • @Frankmortimers

You suck at trolling. Crawl out of your basement and get a life.

  • @Frankmortimers This song played at the end credits of the episode "Whoever did this".

It did not replace the beginning intro theme song.

  • its kinda funny that - this score originated in westerns - is used in the ending of the episode of Sopranos where the horse got burned alive. The horse is a cowboys best friend. My O Pie. Well played indeed

  • Apollo 440 Is the Shit

  • @DasHinchen you're shit

  • @ADAM154

Do me a favor and look up "THE SHIT" on Urban dictionary.

    You PHAIL at Slang.

  • @DasHinchen woops...I shure do;) misunderstanding... sorry !

  • @ADAM154 Gaaahhh........ dont be that friendly. I was looking forward to a nice catfight and now I feel like a douche. ....I should have known that THE GOOD ALWAYS WINS, damnit! -_-

  • Christapha?!...Christapha?!...((opens the back exit to the bing)) ::End scene::

  • @other952 Yeah. Took him long enough to get rid of Ralphie. But to do it over a horse? The family was doomed more or less when Tony took the reigns. Maybe it was the therapy that did for him.

  • los soprano impresionante!! = k la musica

  • Ah i like this version. Another good version is by Hans Zimmer Its called "Parlay" i Made a ringtone out of this from 32432:54 to 0:01 on M4SIC (.) C0M.............nah im just fuckin with ya i aint a spam bot.

  • this song is constantly eating my brain its like a virus

    poweful stuff

  • a true masterpiece, Morricone was a genius , a great remix also

  • Brooding music, the impending denouement or climactic turnaround. Which will it be?

  • KEEP YOUR LOVIN BROTHER HAPPY

  • this song is great, and so is Once Upon a Time in the West!

  • Was blown away when it hit me what this was as it played over the credits. The Sopranos yet again taking it to new levels.

  • @OJD33 When I saw the episode for the first time, the ending really sent shivers down my spine (and it still does, every time). The series was so layered with details and allusions that every time you watch an episode you can find something that you missed the first time.

  • amazing such as oryginal

  • i like the chris wolstenholme version

  • omg. i looked for this song way too long can't bielive i finally found it. The Sopranos FTW!

  • Ennio morricone the best side of italy....sorry for my english

  • this song is amazing

  • Nagyon zsér!

  • E.Morricone,---The best of the best

  • this song would be the perfect music video for a zombie apacolypse.....

  • this song is a masterpiece so is the original

  • i watch the hole seasons for the second time at the moment to figure out who made my fravorite tracks..this is definitly one of them!

if any of your fellas have more tracks in their youtube channel please let me know???

sorry for my fucking bad english!

    greetings from germany! ;-)

  • damn, this is a good piece of music - sopranos have best soundtrack

still, this is one of the songs that are good, but don't really fit episode context... i can't see it

  • The episode was about retribution and redemption, both of which are themes of Once Upon A Time In The West, and the man with the harmonica was the 'moral' counterpart of Frank in the movie, like Tony was for Ralphie (as he was his boss, Ralph had to constrict his behaviour). In the episode ending, Tony was looking for his redemption ("Christopher" & the white light) after killing Ralphie.

  • @Probolkoc

Wish all youtube comments could carry this level of intelligence.

  • I remember this piece of music fondly. It finished up the "Whoever did this" episode perfectly and cemented it as my favourite episode out of all of the seasons. Absolutely brilliant stuff thanks for uploading this!

  • i've seen all 'sopranos' episodes and 'once upon a time in the west' and each version of this song fits perfectly for each feature

  • Genial...

  • 3:30 showdown!

  • this fits so well with the Sopranos episode Whoever Did This.

  • smashin' tune!

  • R.I.P Adrianna x

  • this song was played at the ending credits of the episode called "whoever did this" directed by tim van patten (my favourite sopranos director). awesome show, awesome episode, awesome directing, awesome music.

  • @1st2rule Poor Ralphie.

He never got a chance to try and redeem himself. This song and its "death rattle" fit perfectly with Tone choking him to death.

  • remy the knee bonjasky

  • so no one has seen "Once Upon a Time in the West"? Jason Robards, Charles Bronson, Henry Fonda...?

  • Well, then we're just two, hm? No wait... We're "two too many", right? ;P

  • I watched "Once Upon a Time in the West" movie and i can say Henry Fonda acted as one of the best "bad" character in my opinion.

    That mix is good...

Also i suggest that u must listen "Ennio Morricone Anthology" album...there are amazing songs.

  • Featured on CSI Miami. The best spine tingling tune yet.

  • the episode from the sopranos that has this song was one the best episodes ever not just of the sopranos but in television history

  • @Hojun666 Very funny this episode with this song.

  • @kcchris Yeah. The guy was like "Alright ladies, game's over. I want all your cash NOW." And there was 3 gun over the tables and one behind him. lol

  • this version by apollo fourty four is cool :)

  • morricone makes me wanna crack someone's skull... so beautiful... (try listening to this when your best friend's boyfriend is an asshole...)

  • So cool! Morricone must have been inspired when composing this great tune ^_^ 5/5

  • Anywhere to download this song?

  • Youtube downloader HD -> download MP4

    PAZERA -> convert mp4 to mp3

  • Ennio Morricone is one of the greatest composers ever....the fact that this tune was made back in the 60's is simply amazing

  • Well, the tune was remixed. And, although the beginning is from the original, the following beat (that sounds synthesized and with drums) isn't from the 60's.

  • ?....I know that....and different beats and new synthesized sounds haven't changed the original "composition"

..and yes, Apollo has done a good job on the tune, I like this version a lot ...but go to 3:30, that's the composition I'm talking about....I bet "Ennio M" made a nice buck on this remix....its his tune after all...you get it??

  • @pascal26in This was composed in the sixties! Hot damn this guy was ahead of the curve, I'm gonna look him up

  • @pascal26in Why is it amazing? It´s not as if the quality of music has improved since then, quite the opposite!

  • @pascal26in

Muse's version of this is awesome

    youtube.com/watch?v=I2oRY7W_WUs

    awesome song

  • @pascal26in What's amazing about the fact that he composed it in the 60s? Could people not compose good melodies "back then"?

  • @malismad I think that he was saying that People still like this song and use it 50 years after it was made. Lets see some modern music get replayed in 3 years.

  • @AlexxArgen

3 years...I'll give it 3 weeks if its lucky.

  • @malismad

I think he was talking about how the song reflects on Morricones previous composures, they were all much less deep so to speak.

  • @pascal26in you should start listening to old musik, theres tons where this came from

  • csi rocks

  • Italia the best

  • its natalia boa vista.

    not italia...

  • Great song in the end in one of the greatest episodes of the sopranos. Stunning end.

  • just saw that episode :D

  • wonderful thanks man.

  • Greatful!

  • I've heard this version in CSI: Miami, and I like it! Not every re-makes are good, but it's a masterpiece!

  • S06E16

  • It was in the 6x16 episode "All In" in two parts. both at the beginning when he faced down a Mala Noche posse, and then again near the end when they rescued Calleigh.

  • remy bonjasky's entrance song

  • this is the song of the "Once Upon a Time in the West"

  • This episode was on the ralphie episode of The Sopranos!

  • This was in a CSI Miami episode too! Thanks for uploading! Any possible chance you can upload a link for it's download? You're the only person I've found who has it.

  • harmonica= intro to Little Fluffy Clouds

  • This is an awesome song.

  • i remember i use to play this song all the time when i worked for starbucks

  • just google for the tubetilla program ;)

  • I have been looking for it soo long..great song

  • This Sopranos episode was definitely the beginning of its dark run. Before this episode, Sopranos was still a little bit lighthearted.

  • you've got a point on that!

  • Thank goodness for this episode then.

  • @oyinladethapimpwith9 Thinking back this is quite true.

Rewatching sopranos and have just finished with this episode which was probably the most gruesome yet. Definitely gets darker after this

  • oh, this awesome!!

  • western style baby!

  • Anyone know where to download this?

  • youtube to mp3 converter :) google it

  • Awesome, thanks :D

  • when did this play in the Sopranos? I don't remember this.....

  • Season 4, in the episode titled Whoever Did This, the one where Ralph is killed by Tony. It was played over the end credits

  • Does anyone konw the name of the track in the finale episode of The Sopranos , when AJ is picking up his girlfriend with the M3 ?

  • buen trabajo! Big up!

  • People say, the CSI Miami episode "All in" was ridiculous on beginning... Well, be sure that every of them saying so, knows a crap about cinema. THis was an obvious tribute to Sergio Leone's spaghetti western style and type of scene and action!
