I have a vidou, on manifesting objects out of thin air. It will shift your paradigm. It is called instant manifestation. This could esentially solve world hunger.

Eckhart Tolle and Esther Hicks basically say the same: the most important thing is to be connected to your Higher Self/God/Source whatever you want to call it. But they use a different approach. The connection is all that counts all else is just secundary, like a bonus. You've already hit the jackpot when you're awake. Everything after that is nice and fun but you don't need it anymore. And from that comes real peace and joy.

Secret is about being happy. and Knowing. When you constantly reach for happiness. You realised that material or things that you dream are not the reason for your happiness. Then you start the real quest. So for a person who is sad and depressed the Secret and Ester Hicks will lift them up to listen to Egoless.
Even though the Secret was created to appeal to our Egos, it was the starting point in my spirtual journey, and I am grateful for that. I now try to bring my attention and feel complete in the present moment, rather than using my energy to feel like how I want to be in the future.

Adya is just pissed that he wasn't asked to be in The Screct DVD - and missed out on more money. When it comes down to it Adya is selling a product (apples) and Byrne is selling a product (oranges.) Same thing - differenct package.

While other times It feels like I get everything I want when I want it at the exact same time I ask for it.

The Secret works but it doesnt bring true happiness and thats ok. It's its own mechanism. The teachings of Abraham are fine as far as they go but its only a very small narrow part of what reality truly is.
The Secret does not follow that materialism will manifest and then follows happiness...its the other way, one must be happy and at peace to attain in this physical life what one wants. The vibration to the wants must match and by allowing and going downstream, by letting go of the ideas and beliefs that keep us locked in and distant from source, then that launches rockets of desire to attain what you want. This process shifts perceptions and allows one to be in touch with everything around us.

It has made a lot of money for Rhonda Byrne, so I guess she knows it works.
On some levels, The Secret is quite funny, in the way somebody with enough cheek to stand in front of you and say the most unimaginable bullshit without blinking an eye can be funny.
Like Adya says, it really doesn't matter on a true level.
IMO the reason why the secret works is that the affirmations cause our minds to rebel.. and the more you say the affirmations, the more you let the mind blabble and therefore disarm the mind's "obstacles" that prevent you from having what you wanted.
This fills my soul.... But I think a lot of you are missing what he is saying. You can manifest all day, and its not a problem, we are naturally going to be engulfed in a world of materialism. It is better to be truthful to yourself, and if you are not ready to focus your entire being on awakening, then play around. Otherwise, we all know what we are supposed to be doing, and we should if we are ready.
Yes it so Does appear to be the truth that whatever I think becomes the reality. And then to take the corrollary of that & surmise a better/happier/freer/ peaceful/richer?? life by attemting to manipulate thought for what I/ME imagines IS better seems to be1/ a continuation of rejecting what is 2/ a continuation of "me" 3/ a continuation of the struggle as some active manifesting "works" & some doesn't....
I have had a lot of hit and miss experiences using the "secret" and that is expected by chance, but the hits are so incredibly against odds that they are hard to play off as pure chance. I still practice the skill some because it does make more sense than what everyone else is doing, but I can sometimes feel how nothing promises happiness and that investing my spirit in any desire is wasting time I could spend getting closer to god. At the same time, I want to experience life... good points here
If the secret was truth, it would happen all the time. There would be no misses. Your state of mind influences the way people react to you, that's as far as it goes. I don't know what Adya is talking about with the convenient parking spaces. No way can he manifest them every time. No way. I love Adya but I wish he'd go into this a bit more.
yeah, I dunno about parking spaces. I am very inconsistent with loa "successes," but like I said, sometimes it seems too coincidental. I don't know exactly how the whole thing works, but I do know I have a lot of unwanted subconscious shit in my head that could definitely hinder my "creation" abilities. Trying to find the pattern and hone this skill has been a futile effort for me. God knows best anyway, so I just try to keep my head up anymore and try to be willing to recieve.
as far as your state effecting others, that is a factor for sure. But there is something subtler to this. I have some health problems so I don't get out enough to build much of a social circle, but sometimes I seem to bring people into my life from seemingly nowhere that provide exactly what I asked "god" for.
That being said, if loa was true, I would not be suffering from health problems, right? Makes me skeptical too, but the coincidences in my life are too great and numerous to ignore.
the secret is a load of crap! it's all about justifying your materialism. enjoy your BMW. there are still kids starving in the inner city, but sleep tight sunshine.
I used to be big on intention/manifestation. But after getting into Tolle and especially Adyashanti, I was able to "see" that all that stuff the "me" wanted wasn't important at all.
Seek first the kingdom of What IS and all else shall be added to you. francis Lucille has a cool concept about accepting your shitty old lounge and the instant you accept what you have a new lounge gets delivered to you.

The Secret does not follow that materialism will manifest and then follows happiness...its the other way, one must be happy and at peace to attain in this physical life what one wants. The vibration to the wants must match and by allowing and going downstream, by letting go of the ideas and beliefs that keep us locked in and distant from source, then that launches rockets of desire to attain what you want. This process shifts perceptions and allows one to be in touch with everything around us.

Personally, I wouldn't givethe book/dvd house room,
It has made a lot of money for Rhonda Byrne, so I guess she knows it works.
On some levels, The Secret is quite funny, in the way somebody with enough cheek to stand in front of you and say the most unimaginable bullshit without blinking an eye can be funny.
Like Adya says, it really doesn't matter on a true level.

IMO the reason why the secret works is that the affirmations cause our minds to rebel.. and the more you say the affirmations, the more you let the mind blabble and therefore disarm the mind's "obstacles" that prevent you from having what you wanted.

This fills my soul.... But I think a lot of you are missing what he is saying. You can manifest all day, and its not a problem, we are naturally going to be engulfed in a world of materialism. It is better to be truthful to yourself, and if you are not ready to focus your entire being on awakening, then play around. Otherwise, we all know what we are supposed to be doing, and we should if we are ready.

And then to take the corrollary of that & surmise a better/happier/freer/ peaceful/richer?? life by attemting to manipulate thought for what I/ME imagines IS better seems to be1/ a continuation of rejecting what is 2/ a continuation of "me" 3/ a continuation of the struggle as some active manifesting "works" & some doesn't....

I have had a lot of hit and miss experiences using the "secret" and that is expected by chance, but the hits are so incredibly against odds that they are hard to play off as pure chance. I still practice the skill some because it does make more sense than what everyone else is doing, but I can sometimes feel how nothing promises happiness and that investing my spirit in any desire is wasting time I could spend getting closer to god. At the same time, I want to experience life... good points here

If the secret was truth, it would happen all the time. There would be no misses. Your state of mind influences the way people react to you, that's as far as it goes. I don't know what Adya is talking about with the convenient parking spaces. No way can he manifest them every time. No way. I love Adya but I wish he'd go into this a bit more.

yeah, I dunno about parking spaces. I am very inconsistent with loa "successes," but like I said, sometimes it seems too coincidental. I don't know exactly how the whole thing works, but I do know I have a lot of unwanted subconscious shit in my head that could definitely hinder my "creation" abilities. Trying to find the pattern and hone this skill has been a futile effort for me. God knows best anyway, so I just try to keep my head up anymore and try to be willing to recieve.

as far as your state effecting others, that is a factor for sure. But there is something subtler to this. I have some health problems so I don't get out enough to build much of a social circle, but sometimes I seem to bring people into my life from seemingly nowhere that provide exactly what I asked "god" for.
That being said, if loa was true, I would not be suffering from health problems, right? Makes me skeptical too, but the coincidences in my life are too great and numerous to ignore.

I used to be big on intention/manifestation. But after getting into Tolle and especially Adyashanti, I was able to "see" that all that stuff the "me" wanted wasn't important at all.
