GE Honda Aero Engines??? if the market is such a competition why is GE helping Honda on jet propulsion technology? Not To mention the US helping Korea on engine technology? it's weird because no other country does this kind of things unless there is a huge interest involve.

At the risk of sounding like a conspiracy theorist, here is the difference between US and Japan. The Japanese civilian leadership, including the Emperor, USED the US military, and its two atomic bombs, to get rid of their OWN Japanese military. Once the Japanese people were free of their OWN military, they prospered. As did the West German people. The American people have no idea the contempt in which their own leaders hold them, especially the liberals and the neocons, Folks, they HATE you.
AircraftCompare DOTcom has every details with specs and photos of almost every aircraft in the planet, commercial, military or private jets, from the past present and FUTURE FLYING CARS, you have it all. Compare the Boeing 747 or the A380 side by side, or the MIG vs the F16, this site also has user feedback generated category wise airplane and helicopter rankings. Cool stuff guys do check it up .....
Honda started off making that dorky motorcycle but they learned. They made better motorcycles, then cars, and now jets. How did they do it? They have a government that does not hate its own people. The Japanese government actually seems to care about the Japanese people, not to hate them, as our government seems to hate us. Disagree? Look at what our government has done to our industry, to our jobs, to our money, and to our economy. If you think they don't hate us, how can you tell?
In fact, that's not true. Japanese government put very heavy pressure on Honda not to go into car business decades ago. It is the strong will of Honda that made the company as it stands.
Thanks for the info. I agree, Mr. Honda was a great man. Still, I don't think the Japanese government couldn't be as anti-business as ours here in the USA. Look at Detroit today; it is a war zone and a wasteland.
@Skeptic121 I HATE the Federal Gov't and what it has become. But, what happened in Detroit was ALL brought about by the UAW. Sure, the Federal Gov't damned sure did'nt do anything to help matters. However, the UAW IS to blame. Ultimately, the very organisation set up to support the "Working Man" ended up SCREWING the"Working Man" in the end.
@Skeptic121 or maybe it's because japan doesn't have overpaid unionized factory workers digging into the company's profit margin. cheap labor results in more affordable products and leaves a greater profit margin to be put towards development of better cars.
@Skeptic121 i agree with you ! that's one of the reasons why i buy Honda's, they even take good care of there American employees, there not as greedy as some American banks, i finance my Honda's throw there finance co. if I'm late on my note is $10, not $35. like some other banks, so that's true they care for the people, but I also believe that every government has its flaw's, not only ours.
@Skeptic121 'Dorky motorcycle'? The model in the video is the overhead cam version. They were way ahead of all the others availabe in the UK in the early 1960s. I had the previous pushrod version. I think they still hold the world record for most popular motorcycle ever made. These days im flying in Cessna 172, most popular airplane ever made but would love to try the Hondajet. (I dont disagree with your main point.)
I like the fact that in the 1st half of the video, those two guys look so dorky and would be the subject of endless ridicule in the biker crowd. At the end of the video I just envy them for being able to fly such an awesome machine.
From the most humble begining, great things can arise.
I have alot of respect for the little honda 90,it is a very tough machine, that put many people on 2 wheel's it was affordable, and realiable, easy to maintain, many people think the honda 90 is the most important motorcycle of all time, and i think they are correct.

im around private aircrafts all the time, CJ's, Lear Jets, Gulf Stream, Hawker, King Air ive seen all that shit, and the honda jet just sounds really cheap.
Our family owns 3 Honda Accords and a Honda lawn mower purchased back in 1988. It runs like new and has never had maintenance other than changing the oil, changing the air filter, and sharpening the blades.
Boeing and Airbus are always going to bankrupcy cause noone wants to pay them, it's a hard industry that makes it impossible for anyone to start a company that size.
yes but at the end of the day, the majority of airline travel is done by flying in Boeing's Airbuses, and other airline manufacturers. the major problem is this aircraft will only serve a certain market and will not make the industry any more greener as the any benefits will be small. unless that is honda has a bigger one that carry 500 people across the Alantic or to Australia.
wait wait let me guess, this plane is not only smaller but actualy more efficient, less gas consuming, better looking and cheaper than american manufacturers? mmh sounds like some industry i know
innovation should be based on improving our ability to live and explore in a sustainable mannner. The problem is without Earth there would be no mankind to produce the jet or anything else. if Honda can prove this jet is more economical and environmental friendly than any thing else why aren't they making a normal jumbo plane rather than just a toy for greedy executives?
Realizing this comment is more than a year old... it's not just a toy. Executives aren't going to wait a day or two to hop on a 737 to travel across the country in coach. They don't have the time for that. This is why smaller jets come into play - You aren't going to waste all that fuel by sticking 8 passengers on a 737 are you? Smaller jets use less fuel, and Honda in particular is the best at it.
I know Rolls Royce makes jet engines aswell as cars , but there is enough companies(Boeing, Airbus, Saab etc) making aeroplanes (conventional) and air travel is blamed for causing climate change. Also robots can take us where humans can't enter and cars will always be with us in some shape or form. Anyhow Honda is commercial enterprise so it will go where the money is. Its unfortunate that it can't stuck with its Petrol-electric cars and world-changing Asimo.
Don't worry. Honda will no doubt seek to provide a better, more fuel efficient and cleaner jet engines than its competitors. Otherwise what is the point of venturing into a new market, right?

The problem is the train is operated so accurately that ,there is no chance to use business jets in Japan at all.
Even if Honda tries to have this Honda jet in Japan, it will be voted down in the shareholders' meeting.
I heard that this airplane will not be sold in Japan.
So,I envy the person in other countries a little.

The Honda jet has an excellent feature set for the price and could well be the best value in its class:
1) high cruise speed
2) quiet cabin because of engine location over wings
3) spacious cabin with private lavatory
4) Honda quality and reliability
I just hope someone comes up with some non-fossil fuel solution to power these things.
