  • I want this car so bad, my total absolute dream car -3 hopefully one day I'll have one

  • Me and my fiance are currently looking for someone to paint the bird on the hood of our 1980 trans, it has a vinyl decal but it just doesn't do this beautiful example of american engineering any justice.

  • I had the 78 , Awesome car. real great handling car . No guts though. Bought a 68 Charger w a 440 535 hp . Thats a muscle car with no maners at all . Sometimes I miss the T A .. You could drive it in absolute comfort across the country . 77 and 78 were the coolest looking birds I think .

  • sexy

  • I own a 1977 trans am myself.....the torque is great 325lbft. These cars are choked and it takes hardly anything to make some serious power out of them.

  • This is not the way ... It's vintage car, who'll buy a car that you deal in this way !!!!

  • porn <3

  • thing of beauty

  • 0:45 was my favorite part

  • i just love how cars sounded like beasts back then! now they only make a buzzing sound like on tahoe's

  • 400 cu in (6.6 L) Pontiac V8 200 hp at the crank. hahahaha. lol. (:>)

  • @spaceghost30082 , the car is more about fun than peformance lol , although it could handle like no other on the road.

  • @akm169mm i know. i just like razzing people.

  • love this car nothing other car. my biggest dream was buying on of'm and still driving the original "smokey raceway" to texas and back to atlanta with my brother with some coors in the back of the this fuckin' great car. lovely regards from germany, michael.

  • Did you ever sell this mean machine?

  • nice fucking car yo

  • such a wild looking car. pontiac knew what they were doing! pontiac died the day they stopped production of the firebird.

  • i want this carr!!!!!!

  • A STOCK TRANS AM 400CI 6.6 LITRE HAD ONLY 180 HP. HAHAHA! (:>)

  • @spaceghost30082 ya,, it was NET horsepower rated tho

  • rather have a dodge

  • what is it worth??

  • This is the dream, right there! STUNNING! XXX

  • i dont claim to know everything about these 1977 pontiacs but i know enough to where i get pissed off about certain posts , first off the 400 pontiac motor is not a big block , nor is the 403 oldsmobile motor, both are small blocks, in 1976 the 7.5 liter 455 cid was laid to rest , the gas crisis was on and power and size disappeared fast , its a shame but the transam did maintain its handling abilities well into the 80's

  • @beers2257 you still don't know enough. other than being a physically large engine, a pontiac 400 is considered neither a big block or a small block as all pontiacs were physically the same (except the 301)

  • Saving Up To Buy Me A Baby Like This. Powerfull Machine! Deserves Respect!

  • Sexy 77, man!!! I was born in '77 so this would be my dream car!

  • My gosh!,, thats the car im looking for as a summercar :) .. but is that really originalmotor?.. sounds trimmed?

  • that is fkn sexy!!!!!

    so perfect

  • how much?

  • sell it ? you kidding me. you're a lucky bastard to have it. keep it till you die.....

  • *CRIES OUT LOUD* SO..... BEAUTIFULL... SOUND

  • Comment removed

  • ...and yet, you Americans let Pontiac disappeared from the car universe

  • such a beaut! i think pontiac would be really successful with a retro firebird/trans am, the current gto is so ugly

  • whea a fuckin gorgeous car. i love u baby, will u marry me.

  • i get goosebumps from hearing this. makes me so good.. :)

  • MPG ?

  • @omaifakingad She has a 6.6L which was a big block 400 cid with a 4 Barrel carb. NIce Sunday drive like a human being, lol she'd give you a good 26 MPG and if you play with the 4 barrels you can watch your gas gauge go down. I know this cause I used to own a very same.

  • @LMMN8R that's 26 mpg highway, right?

  • such a classic awesome looking car.

  • My dad hafe the same car but in red the best car ever

  • I've been saving for a Firebird for about 3 years, but with prices going from anywhere between £3000(too cheap!) and £30000(too expensive!!!!) Its hard to find one at the right price.

  • i think I just had a cargasm!

  • :'( rare as hell in the UK

  • MY DAD HAD THAT CAR!!!!!!!!! IT WAS A BEAST!!

  • This was my first car at 17 wish i still had it

  • Sweet!

  • The exhaust sound is the best music I heard :)

  • なんともいい感じ。

    昔、日本でも流行ったんだよなー、ケツ上げて。

  • My favourite car

  • now that, that's an amazing car I had a question is it normal for cars of this age to be able to slide they key out of the ignition and still be able to drive the car?

  • @KHAN1350 Yeah for most cars (at least GM) you could do that.

  • i want one of these so damn bad...

  • I didn't think white puma's and 77 trans ams ever collided.

  • BEAUTIFUL-! THE COOLEST CAR IN THE WHOLE EARTH-!

  • yep just had a mangasm

  • This is a beauty

  • Such a Gorgeous Car. I Hope To One Day Get One This Beautiful

  • So how much did it sell for?

  • Beautiful beast! Looks like it just came off the line. NICE.

  • :'D

  • bandit!

  • nice ass fuckin car

  • LOVE the bandit trans-am ESPECIALLY the 77's that is one MEAN car good luck...

  • Original 1977 Bandit T/A? Either Pontiac made 1 manufacturer error or someone overlooked one small detail....

The Pontiac emblem on the nose of the car is supposed to be gold, not red.

  • @dlambo1 1977 came with red emblem on the exterior even if the car was SE, do your research.

  • @ricky80ss You're right, I was wrong. My dad worked for PMD when these cars were made and was a big fan of them but am not an expert and I should have done more homework before posting, instead I relied on my 42yr old memory. I accidentally confused the 1978 Gold Edition which has the gold PMD emblem on the nose with the 1977 S/E Bandit Edition. Weren't the center cap Firebird emblems supposed to be gold instead of red though?

  • @dlambo1 no problem, the rule is :

1977 SE : red/gold : (exterior all red , including wheel caps, interior all gold)

1978 and gold/gold ; (all gold inside and out)

  • @dlambo1 @dlambo1 no problem, the rule is :

1977 SE : red/gold : (exterior all red , including wheel caps, interior all gold)

  • @dlambo1 Not true......I've had quite a few TA's all RED nose Pontiac emblems.

  • @dlambo1 , I had a 77 T/A once upon a time ,lol, very same piece of beauty, Pontiac emblem was red on nose cone.Beautiful car.

  • @dlambo1 r u retarded! all the bandit aditions had a red pontiac emblem! GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT!

  • Is that a stock 77 TA? If so it only has about 180HP....slow by todays standards but still a fun car.......I've had quite a few.

  • @455Transam

and Pontiac motors love to spin bearings

  • @logtech663 I think you're getting the Pontiac motors confused with MOPAR....the 383's were known for spinning bearings.

  • BAD ASS CAR!

  • where can i get one of these. im in NJ

  • One of the sexiest cars ever!!! Iconic!!!

  • this car is sooooooo mouthwatering.. nice car man!

  • i should bitch slap anyone who sells a car this beautiful

  • Dude I think I just wet myself... That thing is off the scale - no discussion!

  • u can easily restore this car for 20k

  • How much do you want for that??/Or is it gone by now>>>

  • @ccg1171 does that trans-am have a SBC???

  • LUCKYYY XD

  • Now that, is a truly sexy car. sounds perfect

  • @swdcdm

Yes this one sounds perfect. That 78 I just saw didnt sound as good.

  • you can usually see a flaw in the nose piece...this one though... perfect.

  • what flaw?

  • ohh...they usually have uneven wear due to sanders or heat damage and they have waves throughout the edges. i would say 8 out of 10 have that even if the paint is really good...yours is the most perfect i've seen in a while. is it aftermarket from a fabricator? i used classic industries for a 2nd gen camaro i had and even those sometimes will line up strange on the side bottom fenders.

  • not my car, but i want one

  • Just wondering what ya got for it. 15k-20k

  • you cant restore this car to this level for $20k

  • I know you can't. I was just curious what you got.

I have seen frame off restorations go for under 20k. usually in the 17-19k range

  • Hi, I will give you some thoughts: a professional restoration will take around 500 hours to do a whole car, average cost of hourly restoration varies depending location (range is $60 to $150 per hour) , do the math labor + parts, this said assuming you have the skills to restore the car correctly unless you do in your backyard and consider your time as a free expense then you can possibly do it under $20k, other way I dont see a frame off resto possible under $20k.

  • Sick shoes, what are those?

  • original 1977 snowflake rims 15 x 7 " with 225/70 R15 tires, also factory size. That's the way the car came from factory in 1977, they are not aftermarket.

  • @ricky80ss Beautiful, must be a real treat to drive

  • by teh way this car was SOLD long time ago!

  • my dads got one just like this except its not a t top. beautiful car!!!! 5/5

  • You guys do great work!!!!!

  • what is the name of the sound you heard on the radio in the trans am ?

  • Check out BIRD PROJECT it rocks!

  • For some info. If anyone is looking for a 77-79 Trans-Am there were 2 different engines offered. A 403 Olds and a 400 Pontiac. The 400 is the best motor and the most powerful of the 2. Look for the letter Z in the 5th digit of the VIN number.

  • Really cool video. Trans am is the coolest car ever!!!

  • i just got a an '82 with 70,000 original miles on it for practically nothing, i want the 78 though. .

  • watch ol bandit run...

  • We gonna' do what they say can't be done!

  • thats a realy nice bird... i just picked up a 77 few months ago... nice paint and inteiror but its silver with black inteiror ... i dunno if i should spend the money to make it a bandit, or leave it be and just drive it

  • If the paint is nice I would leave it. When she needs paint, go black.

  • is your name burt reynolds ?

  • Two words : Nice car! :-)

  • then why back up the brits?

    you suck.

American will always own the eurocars.

  • I got a 'beaut on Ebay. You won't believe this! Keyword (tdenic) This is a must see if you're even THINKING about buying off Ebay

  • absolutely beautiful, probably 1 of gm's best cars EVER

  • @castrewq i really hope that when the economy stabilizes and GM gets back on there feet they revive Pontiac and the Trans AM / GTO, theres a reason they havent sold pontiac yet im hoping its cause they plan to bring it back :)

  • @R1derlin Yeah, i'd consider it to be the last great american car. I don't get why gm cut pontiac in the 1st place; it was definitely their best brand.

  • @castrewq im sure they got something brewing up there in GM im hoping for a return

  • rolling like thunder

  • THIS IS A MANS CAR ;)

  • #1 that was a joke.

#2 I've followed Formula 1 for years rooting FOR Ferrari, so I am very familiar with what Euro autos can do.

#3 You can buy about 20 Trans Ams for what some Lambos & Ferrari's cost - that's the beauty of American musclecars built for the street/drag. They can be hotrodded to compete with foreign cars that cost A LOT more.

#4 Your vulgar, bigoted narrow minded thuggishness reveals far more about you than my joke did about me. I'm sure your fellow Brits are proud of you.

  • They get about 7.

And no, there are no right hand drive versions because Europeans don't have the testosterone to drive a T/A , it would have just sat on the lot while various eurotrash castrati wondered what it was...

  • call us at 305.412.5000 we can work out a deal for a mint TA for you.

  • how mutch is it my dads lookin for eather a vett or trans am

  • dont know exactly the price , each car has different levels of restoration depending shape of car, tipical prices of a really nice restored TA is $25k to $30k, there are more expensive options , i.e.l a frame off starts around $45,000 . Hope this gives you an idea.

    RD

  • ok thank u ill give u guys a kall

  • ya want to know whats funny? my friends that are girls are like, thats not a very cute car. then i show my guy friends and their like, damn! your lucky. haha. sometimes girls just dont understand the bond between a nice classic muscle car and a man.

  • I'm looking at buying one now... very few around my area (if any) but I like the 1979 one... no crazy about the german style lettering and I like the head lights for the 79...

  • I got a 78 Burnt Orange Fully Restored Auto Im selling it cuase im restoring my other 78 400 4speed Factory W72 Car.

  • nice rimz =) they would surely me be stolen in my nieghborhood

  • Im working on a 1977 my self....... I cant get the motor working....... damn that looks good man.

  • I actually really love this car but it's one of the sleaziest cars ever built.

  • bling bling :D

  • Oh fuck me, she's got the 400 in her!

  • man u know how to make them T/A look badass. great job. i got a 79 myself!

  • sweet ride!!!1!!!

  • nice car, but it is not a special edition, looks really close, but its not real.

  • you are 100% right, is not a real SE, and you know is not because we stated it, otherwise you would not know, thats why is caled tribute, same as any SE but much less money.

  • Yes I would know. The Pontiac Emblem on the front is gold, not red

  • sorry to tell you you are WRONG , in 77 the SE came with red emblems on the exterior, is a missconception , gold arrow head emblem on the nose and wheel caps started in 1978 and up NOT 77, so if you had an SE in 1977 they all came with red emblem on the exterior, read the books and check original brochires and you will realize that.

  • ok relax, asI said, it is still a nice car

  • what a sweet ride... beautiful restoration... do you stay in touch with the buyer?

  • yes we do, car was sold to a TA lover in Europe.

  • dear god, the car I will forever want but can never afford to own, oh the humanity !!!!! I would scale a building for that thing, and im not kidding!!!!!

could cry everytime I see that car, my grandpa owned one for years until my idiot cousin got ahold of it and wrecked it. he was going to give it to me when he passed away too and it broke my heart to see it wrecked, such a beautiful car

  • Being from Texas and now living in Los Angeles, this beautifulcar would make me feel at home !!!!!!!! Gorgeous car man !!!!!!!

  • "Bye bye baby"....

  • This bad boy will eat a honda and shit rice man !!!!

  • Comment removed

  • You loose your virginity everytime you see those Cat's eyes!!!

  • you mean hawks eyes right? it does have a giant firebird on the hood

  • No I mean Cats Eyes. It doesn't really matter. I see where you're coming from, I would have never thought of a Hawk though. :)

I just Grew up hearing the headlights reffered to as Cats Eyes.

  • i built my trans am to look exactly like the one in the movie. :)

  • Would love to buy it, but is very expencive to get it over the sea to Norway :-/
