  • Is anybody else thinking of Capsule Corp.?

  • its possible ...within 6

    years

  • i wanna see the pitchures.

  • this guy is freaking awesome

  • not my laptop... not my PC either... AMD do that haha

  • I'm Cave Johnson, we're done here.

  • Button for nude girl

  • Love it when he makes culture references.

  • invisibility ist just about to be perfectionated. It's no really problem to fool your mind.

  • we meet again, Pentium..

  • Dragon Ball and their capsules.. =P

  • I KNEW THIS IS POSSIBLE!

  • Press 0:13 for sensation

  • They should rename Big Think into Michio Kaku, because this is the nth. video of him from big think.

  • im still waiting on the sex bot

  • So sad that the majority of "people" watching these videos are simply MORONS.

  • Awesome...

  • shape shifting my ass they cant even get rid of a cold sore :(

  • @Beeswaxhandcream, valtrex

  • @Beeswaxhandcream

They can't give him a better head of hair. And here he is talking about bullshit that will never take place.

We were supposed to have personal flying cars as predicted 100 years ago. Nothing yet.

  • @Xzibillionaire We can make flying cars already. The question is, how pragmatic and save would that be? If you think of the logistics of it; the only way we could make it save/legal, is through the conduction of thousands of tests, while having to create a bulletproof network-infrastructure. Lots of money, and definitively not a priority right now.

  • I love this man

  • KAKUUUUUUUUU!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How about we try to feed Africa and India before we start making real pokemans plez?

  • Here in austin, tx at UT we got this string that is so thin light bends AROUND it.

Basically you get a bunch of them together, and poof invisible!

Looks bad ass, think there are videos here on youtube.

  • So starwars can be real too?

  • Did Michio Kaku just figure out how to create real tansformers?????

  • @Ilikepiemonkeys97 False, if we can somehow capture and harvest the power of a Quant and re-arrange it, we will have a unit that is smaller than an atom arranged to make matter.

Getting to that step however is a different story.

  • @Sinex69 touche... I admit i have been defeated, your right, i never thought that as a possobility

  • its impossible to make a chip smaller than an atom, the chips are made of atoms

  • @Ilikepiemonkeys97 Uhhhhhh sorry but I think he knows what he is talking about

  • Cool. So in the future we can show that stupid add in movies that we CAN AND WILL download a car.

  • Comment removed

  • Stuff coding that!

  • Indeed... MOST INDEEDEDLY ;)

  • atoms replace by CHIMPS !>? NOO WAY !

  • i want to transform into a potato

so i no longer have to sit in a corner pretending to be a potato

    life is good

  • Holy shit how did he know I was on my laptop??

  • Terminator 2!

  • Lol, this guy loves to brag! But I can't stop clicking links to more of his vids!

  • @benny2tooth his class and know what he is on about

  • GTFO MICHIO

  • @TheBigDaddyD305 thebigdaddy fek off turd

  • Intel Claytronics ( youtube: XJEMfAg5l2w )

  • Transformers, Robots in Disguise!

  • omg your like the einstien of 2012

  • I understand the shape-shifting concept, but I don't see how can these computer chips can change their molecular structure and act as different atoms

  • Ah, to watch sci-fi movies through the eyes of an astro-theoretical physicist...

  • 0:13

  • How can you manipulate matter so easily.. Hes Basicly saying anyone can move a mountain with one finger oh wait only one person can and thats chuck norris....

  • @ploxscape stop making lame comments about chuck norris hes dead and he wasnt even that good at karate he was an actor

  • The only invention I really want is the time machine...

  • @anticorncob6 I think time machines would be illegal to due the fact you could fuck up all of history.

  • @fuck1929 Not if you set a limit, say you can only go back 3 days, you can't mess up history if it's only 3 days. And nobody knows the nature of time travel, maybe it's impossible to truly change the past.

  • @anticorncob6 So I can go back in time and do whatever the fuck i want :D I could take the world and it wouldn't effect our future instead an alternate timeline would be created where I'm a shape shifting cyborg that takes the form of Princess Celestia from My Little Pony.Right?

  • @fuck1929

Or a car would crash into you before you have time to do anything substantial. Thus, causality protects itself, or so another hypothesis goes.

  • @dunnono00 I actually agree with fuck1929 even tho i take his comment as failed sarcasm. I believe going to the past would be possible, but it would not be our past, but instead, an alternate past that is identical to our own, that branches from our own the instant you arrive. This is the only logical scenario that does not create paradoxical issues, since we all know time travel is theoretically not an impossibility. This Means visiting the past is possible, but it is a 1 way ticket.

  • Imagine the labor market when this sort of nanotechnology is real.

    there will be no employment.

    Hell, it'll be a utopia...

Except that tincy wincy little thing called Patent Laws.

Whoever invents the first fully functional nano-assembly system will rule the world, because they will immediately put all competitors out of business.

Additionally, at some point, they will have no need for anyone else's contribution to infrastructure.

    Utopia? or Dystopia?

  • @Wade23581 Mark my words: by the time advanced nanotech is commonplace, intellectual property, patents, and perhaps even ownership will have disappeared as concepts.

  • @Andreas0424 Of course that's not to say some other hierarchy won't be in control of the means of production. Ideally it will be democratic and altruistic, a la Star Trek.

  • don't worry, it can't form complex machinery, only knives and stabbing weapons

  • this guy is so smrat

  • imagine the toy industry. it wil plumit because of kids taking these rigs of dots and forming new toys.

  • amd powers my pc not intel

  • Does that mean we can make Pokemon real as well

  • @animejerk05

    yes , but only Pikachu

  • @animejerk05 ditto :| :O :D

  • @animejerk05 YEAH GO DITTO!!! aw shit its raining *ditto disolves*

  • @animejerk05 Shut up

  • @animejerk05 nah its dragon ball..

  • @animejerk05 god damn it I thought I was the only one with that idea.

  • @animejerk05 il donate my whole life to the development of them if i get to have one :D

  • anybody else had harry potter playing in the background ?

  • I found it amazing how he remains soo humble.

  • Nice

  • Shape shifting.imagine turning your wife into a different victoria's secret model everyday.

  • @saxzw Your wife would have to be a robot and made out of microchips.

  • @saxzw Any of you watch Fringe? Yap, pretty much all future techs are in that series. W.e we can think of xD

  • @saxzw instant win

  • @saxzw Imagine not using an amazing piece of technology to objectify women >.>

  • @TheBloodyloon Imagine not withholding imagination of others

  • They have made technology to make things become invisible but to have a cloak well...that will take about 5 more years to make because they have only been able to make only something a bit more bigger than a paper clip become invisible.

  • programmable matter? i want batmans glide-cloak!

  • soon enough every person in the world will have "intel inside" branded on their forehead

  • We all know what men would use this for...say goodbye to male enhancement pills.

  • @AfterLifeGuru HAHAHAHAHA :D

  • Pushing the button because the chemical brothers told me to...now.

  • buying intel stock!

  • i need to work for Intel.

  • holy shit soundwave i want it now wen i push that button and i bikum soundwave ill beet my brothers ass

  • push a button and a woman is on my lap

  • Call to John. Call to John now.

  • yes except to make a city you would still need 10'000 the amount of "clay" you would need to make a house

  • @cipnrkorvo

not when the clay can turn other matter into clay

  • @y512516 haha that would be funny. it would be nice, but to do that you would need to go down to the atomic level. you would need to make the "clay" around turn magnetic. Not an easy job

  • Oh yes, invisibility FTFW

  • Reminds me of Capsule Corp. in DBZ!

  • Exactly: Electromagnetism and Biology will inevitably merge with eachother. More precisely: We will eventually develope a way to control biology by way of controlling all matter at a molecular level. That is if Judeo-Christian-Islam does not totally destroy the Human Race B4 it can happen.

  • If I could shape shift, I'd become a boob and touch my self.

  • Hah, maybe one day my dream of performing alchemy will come true. X]

  • @heymrhimr

Newton WILL BE PROUD OF YOU!

  • Shape shifting but we cant even conquer diseases like the common cold

  • He seems unusually well-versed in action movies for a theoretical physicist. :P

  • id turn into a sock, and make sock noises.

  • I'm sorry, my computer is powered by Amd Dr.kaku

  • Have they even began to think of the negative effects of all this? People could create products to sell which would greatly stimulate economy but then again, every other person in the world could do the exact same thing. Making every product with a sentimental value completely useless, economy would crash, the world would be in ruins. The world wouldn't be able to "be" if that product "became".

  • i knew i shouldn't have given my money to intel...

  • Capsule Corp. ...-ish

  • "Wheres your computer?"

"Hang on, let me get the bottle..."

    "..."

  • I LOVE INTELLLLLL

  • Shang Tsung!!!!

  • zeus is the one true god

  • capules from dbz

  • Life is what matter eventually does given enough time. Think about it.

  • @crazymuthaphukr

Thirty or so years ago, Carl Sagan said "The human mind represents one way in which matter has become conscious and aware. We are a way for the universe to know itself."

  • this guy is a fucking genius, will the world end in 2012?

  • all this and we still cant make gold?

  • @Mu51Ccm Gold is a pure element. You can't turn an element into another element.

  • @Oirad16 Yes you can, it's called fusion...

  • @masteranimation2008 And do you get a pure element back?

  • @Oirad16 you would get gold, if you did it properly... but this is billion trillions of degrees we're talking about to do it...

  • @Oirad16 you can, and yes masteranimation said, its called nuclear fusion. all elements on the periodic table from hydrogen to iron will be created in our sun, everything above iron, such as gold, is only created when a sun dies, in a supernova. but we dont have the power of a dying red giant, instead people have claimed that they turned lead into gold, ie alchemy, which is fission, and is possible but maybe not with our technology, or it could be done to prove a point, but isnt worthit

  • @Oirad16 all it is, is an element made of certain protons nuetrons and electrons + certain mass and size. It happens naturally through decomposition/radioactive decay; why not manually?

I guess this new technology only effects solid/gas/liquid/plasma properties. Still... this is amazing!

  • Stop making me wish I was born in the future.

  • push a button and BAM, charlize theron

  • sky-net = Google+intel

  • Naw, none of these things would happen in our lifetime.

  • @kroen oh u can read the future? .........

  • 1:30 investigating the next steps??

  • Comment removed

  • which a certain point you have to ask, is the whole process even worth it at that point?

  • I wonder how much Michio knows about electric engineering (probably an insane amount) but I feel like aligning all those particles would be more difficult than he theorizes in this video. Either you would have to perfect the electrical patterns in order to get them to move into the correct position, or each particle would have to be programmed with the individual correct coordinate in their part of the whole. Otherwise, those particles would have to be energized separately and then assembled

  • @biglu30 i feel he s giving false hope....

  • wait whats the point of this? its gonna have the same mass so u cant carry around a car amount of atoms in a suit case

  • Transformers! Woooo!

  • its only a matter of time - pun intended

i hope i just confused u all into going crazy

  • Shape shifting would be awesome. I would love to live my life as a tiger or a shark for a week

  • @animejerk05 or maybe as a bird ;)) that would be awesome :)

  • @AjDigiDam yea a bird would be cool but make sure to choose a bird at the top of the food chain so you cant get eaten

  • @animejerk05 lol

  • @animejerk05 I'd like to morph into Jessica Alba's Dildo forever.

  • @animejerk05 I'd turn into a girl ;) *forever alone*

  • @animejerk05

you won't be smart enough to turn back

  • @y512516 u leave ur brain nerves intact and shape shift everything else

  • @animejerk05 i want to fly

  • Capsules from dragon ball.

  • Sounds like the replicators from Stargate.

  • This guy

    loves terminator 2 LOL

  • The question is how long would it take to transform from states, and what would be the longevity or amount of use such a material could see before fresh material was needed.

  • cool im going to have a real spawn suit

  • better invest in Intel

  • I'm sorry Michio,But I've got a core i5 on my lappie not a pentium....=)

  • The military will love this technology... Base in a box!

  • Just a thought : If the power elite {Globalist} have control of such technology, and it can do what you say ,would that eliminate tons of jobs ? The Globalist would see no need for much of the population .Hence the onslaught of eugenics getting rid of the unwanted? Its scary to think that alot of these projects are privatized for corporations. I can only hope that this is not the case.

  • push button a dildo

  • Sounds like something already completed that we haven't known...China has had continuous reports and incidents of seeing entire cities and then vanish instantly....WTF?

  • BTW I think that God already did this and made us out of some primordial goo. I wonder if we can be wiped off the map by GooGone? The Illuminati / New World Disorder will love using this on us!

  • The Internet has gotten too weird for me and that is saying something! Maybe it is time to retire to a desert island...SHIT...what if it shape shifts into ocean water under my feet? DAMN! Humanity is screwed.

  • In the book series Star Trek: Destiny there is the type 3 civilization known as the Celiar that use catoms infused in the body to control programmable matter or other catoms via telepathic linking. They were immortal and could themselves change shape into anything. Their society resembled a isolationist pacafistic technocracy. If we can mass produce nanomachines in the near future...then the trend splits again....the Borg or the Celiar

  • Future 300 years:

    *Me watching porn*

Computer: ... wtf are you looking at?

  • And such devices would cost millions... Yay... USA military will be all over that though.

  • @Nikotiini69 If it was not for the military, where would physics be in this country. In the beginning this was only about weapons. No matter how old a child become the parent is always watching.

  • Intel FTW!!!!!

  • LIAR LIAR LIAR a big phoney i aint got laptop

  • This is wrong. I don't have a laptop and my desktop processor is AMD.

  • but i use an AMD chip....

  • ahh...... why do have to live in this time

  • @eRedEagle haha true

  • I don't like scientists of his kind, making big predictions based on some small scale experiment that works, and then extrapolating on the future.

How many experts estimated that there would be a cure for aids within the first 5 years? How many people in the 60s estimated that by the time we reach 1990, we would have achieved strong AI. Guess what? We are in 2012, AI is still shit and millions of people still die from AIDS every year.

And we are still not driving anti-grav cars either.

  • @StormWolf01 I don't know about other things, but, I am glad that we don't have flying cars. Do you really want the DMV to give out flying-car licenses to teenagers. And, just imagine what happens when they run out of gas? I dont want cars falling out of the sky.

  • @codemonkey42

I would imagine the "flying car" to be more like a mag-lev technology; basically having the vehicle hover just a few inches off the ground. I guess something along the lines of F-Zero, if you've ever played that. The only way I see flying cars like the Jetsons or something, is if the vehicle is largely automated and the driver is limited to inputting a destination, for which the computer calculates all factors and auto-pilots appropriately.

  • @dunnono00

My thoughts exactly! We have GPS, we have vehicles that can take off and land vertically. There's no reason we can't get moving on the Skyway.... Well, aside from cost, anyway. Last I checked a VTOL car cost over $100,000 USD. But there's got to be a way to get that technology into an affordable unit....
