  • Awe they so belong together! Stupid bathilda had to ruin their little moment!

  • I like his coat...

  • Great scene, very touching.

  • A Bad Thing About The Movies Is That It Shows James Being A Bully To Snape. When, In The Books, It Clearly Explains How They Both Hated Eachother And Always Cursed Eachother On Sight.

  • In the book they used Polyjuice Potion

  • Bathilda should enter a staring contest.

  • @TheDudezer Nagini* :)

  • Godric's Hollow is the most beautiful place ever.

  • that's worse considering Snape is an adult bullying a child, and Harry was clueless and didn't know why Snape hated him and all the time it was snapes grudge so snape wasn't all good he was a bully to

Now I do love Snape and I also love James they are 2 of my Fav characters I just feel people lay of on hating james because Snape was a bully to harry as well

  • A lot of people hate James for being a bully to Snape and others say James could never love lily like Snape did

But come on really James was a kid when he bullied Snape yea it wasn't right but we all do stupid things and make wrong choices and mistakes when were kids and teenagers.

James Loved Lily and Harry both very much and died for them and you never know he may have changed.

also Snape wasn't any better he took his Grudge that he had on James and took it out on Harry.

  • @LOTRfan236 totally agree! even though this is fictional u can learn a great deal from it.coz bein treated badly by sum1 most certainly doesnt give u the rite 2 do the same 2 another. like they say treat others how u wud like 2 b treated

  • Sounds like that drunk Slughorn at 0:26 leaving the house as the loud person leaving the house right before Hermione says I think its x mas eve.

  • In the book wasnt there a statue of lily and James. and on the gate to their house people had carved messages into it paying their respects.

  • @Chippy2611 yeah there was. and also in the book harry set the flowers down after hermione conjured it. i think her doing it herself in this scene takes away from that scene in the book

  • The thing that got me was how everything got quiet and you just see him standing there.

  • This scene made me cry before

  • Emma's so sweet. She made a Christmas reef for the tombstone.

  • The Last Harry Potter movie I'm hoping itll be under my tree tonight or stocking.

The Last Harry Potter movie I will ever buy!

All day since its Christmas eve I've been thinking... Harry has gone to Godrics Hallow..

    :) Merry Christmas! Happy Christmas!

  • MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!

  • The first christmas without harry......

  • LOL i don't like Harry's father, he was bad to Snape in his young age

  • This was on of the parts in the book I had to stop and take a deep breath.

This is when Harry thought about how much he wished to be with his parents, in their grave, to just be at peace.

I find that was most heartbreaking.

  • MAN, why couldn't they have been together, there so perfect for each other! >:0

  • @pinoykanaba IKR?! But, then again, Hermione/Ron is pretty good....ah choices.

  • saddest scene from this movie in my opinion =[

  • Wish they would have put the monument to harry and his parents in the movie. and the plaque by the house.

  • best scene in the movie by far

  • That scene was one of my all time favorites. This movie is one of my faves just because we get to see the struggle of friendship- more than friendship in Harry and hermione. This scene is so beautiful. I Teared up when he started crying. :)

  • Dislike Bar = size of penises of guys who disliked it.

  • Voldemort, Palpatine, and Sauron disliked this (unemotional characters)

  • Why is the second story of Lily and James house torn off? At first I thought Voldemort did it while he was killing them. But in part 2 it shows Snape going into the house after Voldemort killed them, and the second story was still on there.

  • Please don't give me thumbs down for this, it's not in the least bit disrespectful. I know in the books Harry's parents died in 1981 and the his years at Hogwarts took place in the 1990's, but they should have changed their deaths to 1991 here in the film, because Harry's years at school took place in the 2000's in the films.

  • - marry christmas hermione

    - marry christmas harry

    i cried :(

  • James Potter was born one day before me and Lily was born on my name-day! I'm so glad!! =)

  • "Harry... the shippers are watching us..."

  • Good scene, except i don't like the part when she put her head on his shoulder at 2:29. The whole point is supposed to show there's nothing going on between Harry and Hermione, and that Ron was being an idiot. but the way the movie portrays this...i have to agree, Ron is right to freak out.

  • I love the emotion in this scene between Hermoine and Harry. It was just too bad when Hermoine married Ron instead of Harry. I always wanted them to be together. :)

  • I love Daniels emotion in this scene. He really has the heart and dedication to dig deep and let his emotions run free but not over the top. Those tears were real and honest and just so true to the scene, so true to him. I am so proud of you Daniel. I love you forever <3

  • Voldemort, Bellatrix and Slytherin dislike this

  • who found them? in the house?

  • I think this us the first time in all the movies that they say "merry Christmas " instead of " happy Christmas " this scene made me cry.;.(

  • this made me cry :,(

  • he Potters went into hiding while Lily was still pregnant.[8] Their son, Harry James Potter, was born on 31 July, 1980. Due to the danger they were in, Lily and James chose to keep Harry's christening a "very hurried, quiet affair" with Sirius Black as the only guest.[13][14] The couple also chose Sirius to be Harry's godfather.[7] Lily sent a birth announcement to Petunia; it was to be the last piece of mail she ever sent her sister.[6]

  • Today is thirty years since Lily and James sacrificed themselves for Harry. May they forever rest in peace and know what a wonderful and brave man their son grew up to be.

    RIP LILY AND JAMES POTTER

  • @danrdrewf you know they're not real, right?

  • @danrdrewf

Voldemort: O__O well this is awkward...

  • hugo and rose (hermione kids with ron) dislikes this

  • @HawaiiPitBull ... Why would Hermione's kids dislike this?

  • @hinasakukimi

its seems like mom is cheating dad... just saying

  • Hermione: *bends down, makes wreath*

    Harry: Hermione, how'd you know??

  • "I don't believe in magic, I believe in God." JK Rowling

  • How could Hermione found the grave that has the deathly hallows sign very fast?!

  • Lily and James disliked this.

  • Everytime I watched this movie, I'd always miss this scene. I'd go get something to eat. Use the restroom. Whatever. One day I sat down and watched this movie all the way through.

This scene had me in tears. I was so angry I'd missed it befoer.

  • Harry and Hermione look so CUTE together!! They are just like the PERFECT couple.

  • I'm not ashamed to say I was in tears when I first saw this scene.

  • I choose to believe when Harry said 'Do you think they'd be in there Hermione?' That he meant if they were to go check inside the church, they would be in there. Not as ghosts but as something else. Something more powerful.

  • I wish they hadn't caught out the messages to Harry. :-(

  • brb forever crying every time i watch this scene

  • Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson are brilliant in this scene!

  • Hermione: [whispers] Harry, there's someone watching us....

    Me: Yeah, I'm watching you!!

  • @marymayonnaise Haha LOL!!! Imagine if that happened!!

  • This must be such a thrilling scene for Harry-Hermione shippers, though it didn't work out but we all at one time or another believe SOMETHING is going to happen at Godrics Hallow.

  • 2:32 They should have been a couple.

  • this is like the best part of part 1

  • Are their names carved in the Harry Potter font?!

  • Now THAT is HD dude your're the best thanks for uploading!!

  • The best friendship I've ever seen! :)

  • Operator: 911 what's your emergency?

Me: Somebody please help for the love for the love of God it's terrible!!!!! :(

Operator: Sir calm down and tell me what's going on?

Me: I went on Youtube to watch a video and it has a dislike bar!!! :(

Operator: Sir ... That's not an emergency ...

Me: ITS A HARRY POTTER VIDEO!!!!!

Operator: MY GOD! Were on our way !

  • I LOVE THIS PART!!!!!!!!! =]

    It's so sweet! <3

  • Maybe it's just me, but the music they hear in the church gives me chills. It's touching, beautiful, and....I'm just speechless. The scene is simply stunning. It never gets old for me.

  • Such a sweet scene

  • The entire background is visual effects. No wonder it was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects.

  • Tears, TEAAAARS!!

  • I HATE everytime, how this scene makes me cry!!

i love it so much!! ♥

  • When the credits for this movie started rolling, my childhood ended.

  • lol at the end they turned their heads at the same time HILARIOUS!!!!!!! yeah idk im hyper.....

  • Hey....does anyone happen to know where this scene was filled, like the name and place of the graveyard???

  • this scene makes me cry :'(

  • this scene always gives me goosebumps.

  • when I read the book I imagined this scene exactly like that so THANK YOU David Yates

  • I loved this scene, but when I was at the midnight premere when Hermione says "There's someone watching us," everyone laughed, because millions were watching them.

  • kjsdilw ;hslkzjhsjhg abdlaoudsklzhofdzldfhbnshv

Sorry. Just cleaning the tears off of my computer.

  • Talk about creepy. Just watching and knowing that is a old woman's body - dead and cursed by dark magic - inhabited by dark magic - and walking around to lure the children in there. HOLY CRAP. Who said this was for children? Thats a pretty scary thought to me.....at least

  • @SaguaroAZ no one said it was for children haha, PG-13

  • @LOZmaster85RB No one here XD but I've heard some comments in RL

  • This scene is aching. Up until now, all we've seen and heard are stories of Harry's parents dying. All we hear is how Harry has his father's face and mother's eyes, but there was never anything as revealing as this to Harry. Actually seeing his parent's graves, which, despite all hes heard, proves his parents are dead.

  • I remember in the first movie they said, "Happy Christmas," not "Merry Christmas."

  • "Merry Christmas harry"

    "Merry Christmas hermionie"

    i would have been thinking

"Merry Christmas ron" even though he couldn't hear me...

  • ugggh i hate Nagini! she shoud've come at least 5 minutes later, she ruined the scene

  • @Fangornmmc It's like you read my mind. They're my favourites too! :)

  • I just love the chemistry between them. I love how Hermione just knelt down and conjured that wreath. Hermione will always be the one to understand Harry even without him saying anything. And she had shared this very special moment with him. Sorry, My Harry/Hermione shipper heart is aching.

  • @babsnadoy hermionie understands harry because she is like a sister to him. They even said that in the book.

  • @kaizoisevil The book indeed mentioned that but Dan and Emma's chemistry says otherwise.

  • Holy crap someone put an invisibility cloak over the dislike bar!

  • ok this woman is like creeping me out

  • Bathilda's face is so scary !

  • And of course (how could I forget!)

The tale of the three brothers scene

  • The scene with the mirror of erised

The scene in noctem (deleted scene hp6)

    This scene

The scene in jp3 were everyone but harry can go to hogsmeade

    Snape's memories (in hp7)

Those are pretty much my favorites.

  • the fact that it was Christmas Eve and they were wandering by themselves and Harry visiting his parents grave and thinking about the life he can never have just made me tear up.

  • @xFirebird925x o me too. and that music doesn't help either does it? Great scene

    one of my absolute favorites

  • Bathildas not the chattiest of people is she!?

  • Twilight PREMIERE--Robert Pattinson is there..

    Me: WOW! IT'S CEDRIC DIGGORY!

  • @arnoldbasaya07

    who cares?

It's not relevant to this clip at all

Quit associating this shitty actor to this amazing franchise

  • this is my favourite scene

  • I thought this was suchhh a good scene in the movie, I'm glad they didn't drink the polyjuice potion here like they did in the book. It was just a lot more sincere here, and you really saw the relationship between harry and hermione here. i loved it. :)

  • the music that is played while they are standing in front of the gravestone is AWESOME

  • just pause it at 1:43 that right there is perfection. beautiful.

  • @DanElNino9 -- It is. Very bittersweet. That was the moment where it dawned on me that he'd found his parents' grave, and my heart just ached.

  • if like, Bathilda wasn't there, I'd bawl on Harry's shoulder for an hour with him

  • i cried so much when i saw this scene! and the music is so beautiful also! alexandre desplat is honestly a genius. i think the other scenes that are my favorite from part one are when Hermione has to oblviate her parents, when ron and harry fight (their acting was amazing!), and when and harry and hermione dance.

  • Thumbs up if Bathilda scared the crap out of you in the theater when she popped up out of nowhere next to Harry and Hermione at 3:44.

  • the music is what really sets the mood.

  • First of all, this scene is brilliantly done, excellent, and even better that Harry and Hermione aren't disguised. Also, in my opinion, the scene where they see Bathilda Bagshot is THE scariest scene in the entire series, especially if you know the story behind her.

  • They aren't children....they're adults

  • @gregsandersluver121 Yeah, they're 17!

  • iu still dont get the "hoolow" thing can somevody explain

  • The drunken people staggering cheerfully out of a village pub on Christmas Eve...how wonderfully British this is :)

I love the moment where they just lean against each other. It's so well acted.

  • this was filmed in a village called lavenham in suffolk and i live there :)))

  • @AlexG97vidz Would love to go there :)

  • @AlexG97vidz did u see them there filming ?

  • @4evrarsenal i saw a load of cameras and i saw the back of dans head :L

  • I always cry at this part its just so sad i hate u voldemort do u hear me I hate u r.i.p. james/lily you'll be in our hearts forever and for always:'(

  • What is the song called when Harry and Hermione are next to the church?

  • @Wellabird don't know if someone's already answered but the song they're singing in the church is called My Love Is Always There, Alexandre Desplat composed it as well

  • What is the song called when Harry and Hermione are next to the church?

  • Comment removed

  • I have a feeling Ron disliked this video.

  • About ten times more sad than when Dobby died.

  • Why'd he say Merry Christmas? Hello wrong continent

  • @girgirl99 well it was christmas! what do you mean with wrong continent?

  • Aww... :,( I feel like hugging Harry when he sees his parents tombstone...

  • 'Harry There's someone watching us....'

    *People watch in cinema*

  • Harry: "Merry Christmas Hermione."

    Hermione: [whispers] "Merry Christmas Harry."

    Such a powerful scene.

  • @teknicolorsushi is a sweet one too!

  • I love this scene but I was strongy disapointed at the same time because I wish Yates would've made the scene longer where Voldemort kills Harry's parents. Harry is supposed to have a perspective from Voldemort's point of view of how his parents died and how he survived, and the audience is denied that. But still a great scene though.

  • @guitarblazer4 I like the scene too but I think they miss a chance with the Potter Memorial... they can just follow the book. The Memorial will make the scene so much more emotional.

  • I wish I had Hermione's Peacoat.

  • The scene where Hermione and Harry stand by grave makes me cry, because of song backwards...

  • Thumbs up if this is your favorite scene in the entire movie.

  • @hoodge95 I MEAN I THOUGHT THE TOMBSTONE HERMIONE LOOKED AT WAS BATHILDAS WHICH IT ISNT!

    DO YO HAVE IT NOW?????!

  • @hoodge95 do you listen at all?

  • "Merry christmas Hermoine" :'(

  • so Ignorll perverall is the thrid brother in the tales of 3 brothers right ? so he does exist?

  • @Lavenderxalice Harry was related to him.

  • @AlannahClaire oh i see and thank you

  • @hoodge95 i was thinking of the tombstones and the goblet of fire, cause if you do know wormtail and voldemort killed bathilda. what i was going to say was bathilda is murderd by wormtail and voldemort.

  • 3:44 is creepy

  • Who is bathilda?

  • bathilda is on the grave stone

  • wat is the first thing that hermione says??? because i don't understand it xD

  • @TheSantiiLeBeau I still think we should have used polyjuice potion (to disguise themselves as possible Muggles or other Wizards) - that's what she says

  • @TheSantiiLeBeau seriously i can hear it very clear. she says do you think we should use polyjuise potion

  • @heckcinaj yeaah u'r right, now that i see wat u wrote xD

    thank yoou :D

  • Bathilda Bagshot. . . Hot or not?. . .

  • @GrammarKing1 Fuck no. xD

  • This was by far my favourite song in the whole soundtrack

  • Wow ! Harry had a nice house

  • where can I get the recording of the choir? Just absolutely beautiful

  • @Obstructions I know right? Look up, "My Love is Always Here". Should be the first result.

  • was there something different about this scene in the theatrical version???

  • the fact that they r doing this during Christmas Eve makes it even sadder...

  • Beautiful scene. ruined by a creepy old lady.

  • "This is where I was born. I'm not returning as someone else." Amen Harry.

  • I felt like this is the most emotionally rewarding scene thus far in the series. It hasn't been before 7 movies for Harry to finally see his parents' grave and when this moment finally came, I felt like 7 movies have built up to make this scene probably the most profoundly sad....
