  • Best 240p video ever

  • When daft punk starts a concert everyone after them just leaves cause they will just seem like a disgrace.

  • my testicles fell off during this show due to its awesomeness. completely worth it.

  • CLOSE ENCOUNTERS

  • damn im going to lolla this year...if daft punk was there im pretty sure i would die ;(

  • ALIVE 2011-2012??????????

  • omygawd this would be so amazing how did i miss this..

  • @imonaboatmuther They aren't partners, but Justice doesn't immitate Daft Punk, they have a way different style. They are both french, and both started on Ed Banger with Busy P. Daft Punk had Justice do a remix of Human After All for the Human After All Remix album. They are cool with each other. Thomas Bangalter came out on stage and played after a justice show in paris.

  • @RJPBurtonBoards daft punk has been around a lot longer than ed banger records.

  • @oratowsky When did I say that they weren't? Busy P managed them starting in 1996, and their first record came out on Ed Banger in France, and Virgin Records. Why do you have to be such an asshole and make yourself look like a fool when I never said that Ed Banger was around longer than Daft? Please quote where I said that? Do you have nothing better to do than nitpick like a whiny little cunt?

  • close encounters of the daft kind!

  • Awww man!!! That was fucking awesome!!! Thank you so much for posting!!! I really hope I get to see them perform sometime in my life even if I do have to travel to the other side of the water to see them. They are just great.

  • I swear I could see everyone there just having orgasms over and over. How can daft punk survive having such epic music? How many orgasms do they get while making their music? I swear I want to masturbate to every fucking daft punk song ever made.

  • Did any of the other shows that Daft Punk played in their "Alive" tour start off with the melody ffrom "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind"???

  • INTRO ... FRESH ??? ???

  • wow thats stupid that long for an intro were somone repeats on and on -_- waste of time

  • @EternalDeath1234 You wana get shot by saing that fucker

  • @EternalDeath1234 your an idiot man you dont know what a dance/electronic music is all about its about a build up to build up the tension in the concerts atmosphere so when the beat drops its like ** AHHHH GOD DAMMIT STROKE**

with every one dancing dont come to videos of the one the greatest concerts of all time leaving negative comments cause you have no idea what you talking

  • @EternalDeath1234 so when the intro starts the saying it faster human, robot its getting faster faster and faster an then a Mega Bass Explotion you dont know anything about Mash Ups -.-

  • man i wish i was there, i love them so much!!!! do u know when is their next performance?

  • @wachupango no one really knows yet but according to the director of Tron Legacy (which Daft Punk is making the score for the film and making an appearance) stated that Daft Punk would go with promotional events for the movie

  • It's a miracle the unsuspecting crowd survived all those climaxes, daftpunk really pulls them higher when you thought the song was allready at its max

  • @zerfpo I danced my ass off, that's how I survived it.

  • how come they always just stand in their pyramid

  • @chillaxer1993 they are using jazzmutant lemur midi controllers to alter the music. thats just where their equipment is.. watch the video from the 2008 grammys with them and kanye west to see a video of what they are doing in the pyramid.. and this video, watch?v=ZcWJ7h2t2To, is a video of a demonstration by the jazzmutant people

  • @chillaxer1993 this is also a great example of their equipment watch?v=OxChXpAoJ7w&feature=related

  • does every Daft Punk concert start with robat rock ?

  • @alexwise41 yeah man every alive 2007 concert started whit robot rock and follows a same playlist for all the concerts.

  • @alexwise41 It follows a basic playlist and basic mixes, but they change the mixes up a little each time. Compare the performance at Bercy to Coachella or Wireless.

  • Wellp, The video cuts of at arguably the BEST part of that song, it made me sad

  • WOW WOW hopy crap, what a wicked beginning !!!!!

    WoWOW

  • this song is exactly the same as the one that is on ALIVE 2007

  • Not the same. They mix all there songs different from show to show. They watching every sound.

  • yes but they used effetcs

  • An electronic group using effects? Never.

i remember afterwards going back to the hotel (the palmer house hilton was all messed up that day, took like 3 hrs to get to my room) but anyway i was standing in teh fancy lobby a fat guy drenched in sweat clutching a daft punk poster waiting for the elevator lol... i remember one of the staff bringing me a bottle of water lol

    you think they are Harmless...

    or evil...?

    they sure are AMAZING.

and a force to be reckoned with!

  • f u pimpdaddy your jealous of the daft

  • Hey why are they going to stop using there Pyramids? i heard becouse people attacked it after the show is that why?

  • Do Daft Punk use a talk box when they preform or do they just do like a DJ and play and mix the tracks?

  • its pre-programed samples.. they dont use a talk box or talk through a synth or anything like that live. its just samples with a midi and a bunch of moog synths and some other controls to manipulate the sound.. best live show today.

  • Hey I saw Waldo! He was right there.

  • lol

  • pimpdaddy is gay...daft punk r deadly!!

  • all those cameras and cellphones.memories people memories!

  • I think its great that the camera is shakey. Thats how its suppose to be at a Daft Punk preformance!!!!!

    yeh yeh yeh yeaahhhh !!!!

    hahaha

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaa cool aaaaaaaa

  • agreein with Spartano, what kind of camera was this recorded on?

  • id say a year older than you if ur that stupid

  • I wonder how many people if when hearing the Close Encounters of the Third Kind beginning of this...actually understood the origin of it from the movie. :P

  • I was there! It was unreal- words cannot describe how GREAT this was! Especially the Chicago skyline all around you.....

  • I wonder if they ever look at themselves and realize how insanely awesome they are. Seriously though Daft is what turned me on to house. Actually to the whole realm of electronic music.

  • everybody there is recording with their phones..

  • i know dude its crazy

  • What a flawless opening.

  • It's amazing that even though it's recorded with a camera the music still sounds awesome! As if there is some sort of special sound wave that they use to play it :P

  • i was there! so amazing!

  • Yeah you definitely just had to be here on this one, words can't even describe how amazing this performance was. definitely the highlight of last year

    s Lolla!

  • I Love The Close Encounters, Best Part of the concert.. not really, But one of them

  • Human After All and Robot Rock... makes sense.

  • fucking amazing

  • i was lucky enough to see them in seattle just less than a week before seeing them here, god it was seriously the best weekend of my life, it was seriously something almost spiritual, each time

  • SpecialGeorge, mm.. penis and daftpunk.

So what if he's gay and like Daft punk.

Life without emotion is death in my oppinion.

If you can't feel emotion george, then don't ridicule someone else because they can.

  • Screw George, Your fucking lucky

  • what when were they in seattle?? Wahhh!!

  • I went to this!! It was seriously the best concert I've been to!!

No camera, writing, or recorder could ever capture how powerful this performance was. The energy of actually being Daft Punk's Lolla performance was indescribable...

I would pay half a grand to see them again.

  • i was also at this concert and i 100% agree with you.. truly powerful

  • yo what camera you use its got nice picture

  • did anyone see the movie

'Close Encounters of the Third Kind'

    and remembs the musical dialoge

    between humans and aliens?

i expect the ravers didn't knew

    what they where listening to

  • if you read all the comments.. there were "ravers" there that knew exactly what they were listening to... you ignorant jackass

  • CRAP!!!!!!!! i wanted to go to lollapppalooza and coachella fest in 2007 but i didnt go to either of them!!

  • i feel ya im so disappointed in myself

  • i was there like 100 ft. from the stage it was possibly the best concert i have ever been to. whenever i think of last summer this couple hours are the ones i think of. sooooo good live

  • i was there it was so insane

  • at 1:14 you hear some retard go yayiyuyuyu

but other than that daft punk is fucken pimp

  • And people think Cloverfield had shakey-camera-syndrome. Sounds like the opening to Alive 07. Would have loved to have been there.

  • Daft RLZ!

  • ROFL 1:14 "YE YE YE YE YEAH"

  • haha the crowd goes crazy after the riff started

  • i was there and it was absolute fun i drove from new york to chicago to see them and it was soo worth it

  • kanye west met them there

  • COOL! Worl on holding tha camra stedy though...

I couldn't see much of anything around 3:16

    SWEET MUSIC THOUGH!

  • Hey I love them they are the best !!

  • sorry you got marked as spam that must suck

  • and ur gay ass couldnt be there!

  • saw them on pukkelpop 2006 man they are awesome

  • i couldda been there... if only i was a daft punk fan then.

  • It is not always the same.

    This sounds different to bercy.

They have samples and beats and stuff and they're mixing it all up there. They aren't playing cards, geez.

Who did they open for btw? because I'd feel a hell of a lot of pressure playing after daft punk lol

  • Lollapalooza is a big festival in a big park, so there wan't really anyone opening for them since there are bands playing all around the place. Although, you can argue that LCD Soundsystem was sort of an opener, since they played last on that field right before them.

  • mustard,,, thats true of ne band, kind of lol,, most bands go up and play same thing all time,, just cause u cant see them doing their stuff doesnt mean it must be a record

  • gawd i wish i was there

  • is there anybody without a camera

  • i know, right?

  • the movie sample was from Close encounters of the third kind Daft Punk Rules The Art of Noise too

  • There's a great interview with Thomas Bangaltar on pitchforkmedia dot com where he explains how they performed each of these shows. I think his closing sentiment on the similarity of each live performance sums it up best:

"quite similar in spirit to a broadway show for example: If you go see a musical two nights in a row, the performances are different yet similar."

Just go to the pitchfork site and search "Daft Punk"

  • can you post the link?

  • i saw that interview. thoams bangaletr is more than any human ive evr seen.

  • i was there, it was fucking awesome

  • hey creecher67 daft punk is not a band

    they are and electronic duo

  • any one know what the name of the song at the intro is? like the simple panio tune from some movie i dont know what its called can someone help?

  • dont know what the song is called but its from the movie " close encounters of the third kind "

  • It's the theme of Close Encounters. It's not a specific song.

  • DAFT PUNK live in concert cannot be touched, don't knock it till you've been there..then you'll see how much they rule.

  • It would seem that they arrange the music as they go. At 1:47 they miss out a 'ROBOT', so they are able to make mistakes, which implies that they have some control over what they play.

  • they did that on purpose for the crowd to sing, retard.

  • It still means that they have control over what they are playing, rather than having a set track and miming.

  • they did that for their coachella concert

except all they did was play with distortions, bass, and treble.

  • creecher, you suck ass.

Daft Punk basically created classic french house music. But its not just that.. there is not one single dj/band/artist that sounds anything like Daft punk.

Shove that in your pipe and smmmmmmmmmmmmoke it.

  • ROCK ON! or should i say DANCE ON! WOO DAFT PUNK!!!

  • HUMAN

  • i download 3 vercions of this song live and all are the same, but was in diferent countries
