The engine has little to do with the actual gameplay to tell the truth. For example, Vindictus, A.K.A. Mabinogi Heroes, uses the Valve Source engine, but is nothing like a valve produced game.

On an unrelated topic, it's been argued about and debated on in several forums and such that this game has been unofficially discontinued. Personally, I don't see why a company would waste the money that this game would cost just to leave it unfinished.

Huxley is a free game.

I don't think it'll come for Xbox seeing as they won't create CDs, cases and other stuff and just give it free.

They won't allow it to be paid because console users would complain that PC players get it free.

Unreal Tournament. Huxley uses the Unreal engine, so UT is as close as you can get. From the looks of it Huxley uses the same engine as UT3, which you can play but 2004 is better. They took about too much content in UT3, the game play is about the same though. The open beta for Huxley will probably be soon, my estimate is 2-3 weeks from now, but no official date has been placed.

Dude this game IS SO LIKE UNREAL TOURNAMENT i mean WTF? I've been looking forward to this game but now i don't really want to play it. I have Unreal Tournament 2004 and 3 i didn't really like them, sure the gameplay was really good, multiplayer was even better but i felt like there is something missing. Then when i went on gamespot and saw this game, it says that its more of a unreal tournament + borderlands because you get to go in the city and buy weapons and stuff. Still ill give it 7.5/10

It's like Wow meets unreal tournament. All the player vs enemy fighting is done in instances, and you can embark on various quests or special missions for some quests. So it's got a little bit of story, but it's mostly conflict between the factions as far as I've seen XD But I'm just going off what I saw in the Frontier test on ijji

In it's current state this game will flop terribly. Too many bugs. Can it really be called an MMO? The only MMO part of the game is the lobby... Too many benefits from PvP vs PvE which just turns it into a standard FPS or in this case a UT3 Mod. If you decide to roll sniper you'll be decimated by every other class accept sniper because of heavy shields and lolrockets. The games are all peer to peer so the lag is utterly retarded unless you make the server. Over all fail, they need to change a lo

Hope you can turn off the weapon animation, cause they're so large, it's almost obnoxious. And I also hope you can't see enemy players on the proximity map, cause I've seen too many games get ruined by that feature. It turns into camping/waiting behind walls gameplay, which is boring to say the least.

You're right, but the difference is in how it ultimately plays out in the game. Giving people a red dot tracking minimap is just more incentive to play defensively. It takes away some elements of surprise, and removes the skill of recognizing your enemy's moving patterns and subsequent anticipation, which is seriously dumbing down gameplay.
