  • Hey Dingle.

Just bought a new Bugera 6260. I'm totally Loving it, but can't get such a good tone on soloing like yours. Could you show us ur settings?

  • @gowiththat as i can see the setting are: Gain: 10, Bass: Almost 8 , Mid:3,5 , Tremple : 5 , Volume : 1,2 ;)

  • AWESOME Tone and fantastic guitar playing, sir! Kudos! Thanks for the talent and the Bugera 6262 demo. I absolutely love this amp and hope to have one very soon!

  • I heard that amp is made of very poor quality. is it true? What are your experiences with it?

P.S. Nice ton and u play great ;) Keep on Rockin'

  • Do you know if this head sounds good (distortion wise) when it comes to low tunning from about Drop A to Drop C?

  • GREAT PLAYING !!!

  • GREAT PLAYING !!!

  • @fillallone Thanks!!

  • Absofreakin'lutely rippin' it!!!! awesome!!!! keep on rockin' dingle!

  • @J1Z06 Thanks man!!

  • @dingle1 no prob!!!

  • @DANizDAN

    haha same here!

  • hey im thinking of getting a bugera amp thanks to your vids but im thinking of getting the 6262 combo but does it sound like the 6262 head ?? i tried the 1990 looking for that distortion i see in your vids like with the v5 and i wasnt extremely impressed... have you tried the 6262 combo?? because im really up for buying it

  • @josuemoraruiz Dingle1is playing through a Marshall cab so I doubt it will sound exactly the same. If you do opt for the combo you might have to change the speakers as they are the bugera speakers. I've heard a lot of people diss the branded speakers.

  • I need this head. Now!

  • hey dude do u have a noise gate on this thing? i have this amp if i crank the gain it feeds back....so i run my gain on 8 or 8 n a half, i want to run it at 10....u got some great tone bro keep it up

  • @whiskeyguitarist

no gate built in if you want built in gate the bugera 333xl but if you want the 6262 get a ISP Decimator pedal NOT THE RACK VERSION(its more money the pedal is cheaper)

  • is the amp (more importantly the tubes) stock?

  • Hey. I'm sold on this amp based on your reviews. One question I would really like you to answer for me: I recently recorded in the studio with a 5150 that sounded great. I know this amp will be no different.

But when I'm playing live, can the Clean channel with crunch and HIGH Gain deliver the thick, heavy tone that you get on the Lead channel? Should I plan on an overdrive pedal for my guitar solos, or at least BEEF UP the clean channel? The rhythm should be almost as powerful as lead. Thnx!

  • George Lynch fan? Heard some Lynch licks in there...sounds awesome! Your videos convinced me to get one

  • Wow! Sounds AWESOME!!!!!!!

I've never ever seen those amps but their sound is slamming!

  • Can you also play something other than... shredding?

Most people think that shredding is cool, but it really doesn't make any sense, because great music doesn't need to be fast.

  • @Mathidal

Great music doesn't need to be fast but a lot of fast music is great.

  • Niiiice shreddin'! It's a dying artform. Great job.

  • Wait i see you changing a patch on the floor? Is this G lynch Zoom??? come on lol

  • @MusiciansQuarters errr, never heard of it.

  • Sorry M8 what delay are you using? that will cure my illness lol

  • @MusiciansQuarters on this clip its a zoom 1220 I believe, dont have it anymore.

  • Delay and what pitch? sounds awesome whats the effects man?

  • Wow..no arguments of the first page of this video haha..that's a first for youtube. Anyway..nice amp and playing dude

  • @dingle1: Hello Sir, well i received my new Buegra 6262 friday and I've been playing it all weekend. Its incredible as you said No OD nor distortion pedals! I did buy the TC Electronic G-Major-2 effects processor and placed in the FX Loop! F**Ck incredibla delay and other stuff! I couldn't get this sound out of my Marshall! A grate deal of gratitude to Dingle1 for posting these videos...

    Best regards,

  • Are you using the Stock Bugera 4X12 cab?

If so, did you record through Mic?

    Or line out?

  • Great sound! Today I traded my Marshall TSL60 for the Bugera 6262!! The sales guy couldn't understand why! ;-) Great playing too! Thanks for posting your vids, these vids were the reason I traded my amp! I was looking for this type of tone for a while. Question, as you said, you are going straight to the amp however what delay system are you using? much appreciated!

  • Sounds great man! How much is this head? I Have a Marshall but its vintage and gives me that classical British sound. But i have been looking for an amp that will give me a more modern Metal sound

    Keep Rockin \m/

  • Fast, but very repetitive! Some good stuff in there though

  • @shane1v Sorry its so repetative. Thats not the point of the clip though. Its mainly to show how this amp sounds when soloing. It was a response to requests to see how it stacked up as a soloing head.

  • @dingle1 Ahhh, I hear you, my apologies. It was very impressive actually. 10 minutes is a loooong time to just wail!!

  • @shane1v Yeah man, it was a bit long.

  • @dingle1 where did you buy your 6262 from? i live in the states and i cant find it anywhere. i was gonna buy a peavey 6505+ until i saw a review saying that this one has a better tone with half the price and a better clean. amazing playing buy the way

  • @rickyjshiznit was that mtuk5150's review? thats the review that showed me dingle's channel

  • @rickyjshiznit Music Technology in the UK.

  • This amp sounds feckin awesome! Is it noisy cranked up? Do you get hissing and feedback at gig volumes or is it quiet?

  • @vaderscodpiece Any high gain amp at gig volumes is going to be noisy, this one is no more or less noisy than any other decent quality amp.I always gate my amps anyway.

  • Hey man I was wondering what the best cabinet to go with this would be. I'm on a budget and I was looking at the B-52 cabinets and the Bugera cabinets cause they both have $250 cabinets, but I don't know if they're any good. Got a good opinion for me??

Also, great playing. Heard some good Paul Gilbert licks in there. Check out my Buckethead covers if you want to man.

  • @fenderstrat81991 Thanks man. The Bugera cab is a nice cab for the money!

  • @dingle1 Alright I will take your word for it then bro. Any other cabs you wanna throw out there that are good and $500 or less.

  • Dude,,I've been trying for a loooong time to improvise or just play awesome licks like that ! How/where did you learn that/what scales are you using/...?

  • @Sjeedie Thanks fella, I'm pretty much self taught. I play a lot (I prefer to play rather than practice), several hours a day usually. If you pick out specific bits I'll tell you what Im playing.

  • @dingle1 Well,,licks like the ones you play in the first 35 seconds for example? Are those strict patterns or are they parts of several songs?

  • @Sjeedie They are just improvised E minor licks.

  • True story here, I was jamming the other day with a guy I met through a drummer friend of mine. He has an Engl Fireball half stack (with the Engl 4X12 cab) I showed up with my 6262 though a Carvin 4X12 loaded with Eminence Wizards) He was trying to be cool but he could'nt contain his laughter at my 6262. After a while he wanted to try it. I played his amp. After about an hour of jammin' he wanted to keep playing through my amp and I could'nt wait to get it back. He was'nt laughing anymore!

  • wow dingle your guitar playing is awesome!

  • Thanks man!!

  • dingle1 .... you're amazing.

  • Thank you!!

  • Hey what cabinet are you using?

  • Marshall MF400

  • @dingle1

    What kind of guitar?

  • @gunsproof I used a Washburn X50 pro on this clip.

  • Comment removed

  • I know this is a stupid question and I think I know the answer but isn't burgera a type of peavy amp??

    thanks

  • No its not.

  • Its behringer

  • @MinDofMinE thanks :)

  • No its not. Do people say this because behringer distribute them? Well if so, they are now KORG amps, because their marketing and distribution is being taken over by them. Are Gibsons "Rose and Morris"? No they are not.

  • @dingle1

    Easy killer!

I didn't mean no harm, I actually just bought the 6262 combo and love it.

  • thanks

  • @dingle1 awesome btw

  • Thanks!

  • I love listening to this, it's as if you're sitting there grinning off camera! It sounds so fun to play, damn you youtube 10 minute limit..

  • Thanks man

  • HEY dingle1 can you tell me witch Pickups and witch guitar do you use to get sought a great tone out of these amp ??? i AM thinking of to buy an 6262 bye myselfe!!!! can you give me any tips to make that amp sound like yours ????

    thanks a lot !!!!

sorry for my bad English!!! i am not form the USA or UK !!!!

  • In this clip I'm using a washburn X50 pro with semour duncan pickups.

  • great tone and solos!

  • Thanks :)

  • I'd go with a 1990 or 1960 for Zakks tone, they are more geared towards a Marshall tone.

  • Awesome tone! Phenominal chops too! It sounds pretty much like the Peavey 6505+ or Peavey 5150ii (same amp, but with evh's endorsement). I've owned a 5150ii for the past 9 years & I would never dream of giving it up...sweet tones & more versatile than people think. Check out my demos of it when you get a chance. Once again kudos to Bugera. Keep on rockin' with the awesome chops man!!

  • Thanks man, nice to get some positive feedback from a peavey owner. For anyone into their Peavey's as much as you are, this would be a great backup amp.

  • I agree...sweet tone.

  • Thisn means SHIT!!!!!

  • scratch that seen your other video. haha

  • is this stock?

  • Yes

  • can u do a review using different eq settings, i would like to see the varieties of tone you can get with this thing

  • How long have been playing man?

  • Too long..............lol

  • Lol. So I'm guessing 10+ years? You're playing is really good man. Plus, I really dig your EQ Settings. It sounds great.

  • what cab should i go for with a bugera 6262. i want a really heavy tone.?

  • Yeah man seriously. i was wondering that too. I would recommend a Mesa Cab for bite and low end or A Marshall cab for balls and crunch.

  • k thanks man

    anything cheaper though?

  • The cab that Bugera make for this amp is about as good a budget cab as you'll get. I use a Marshall mode 4 400w cabinet. Its the same size and construction as a MESA cabinet so I get the depth etc.

  • I'm trying to remember the make.. i think it was avatar cabs no? I've nothing but good things out of them

  • hey can you please help out..when i play my bugera at

    Master Volume: 5

    Lead Chanel Vol. : 5

    Gain: higher than : 3

    Bass: higher then 3

    mids at: 2

    Treb: 7-9

i get a huge wistle and a so much feedback that everything in the garage and the drums start shaking..now this happens on the Lead chanel only..with my ds1 no problems..with crunch only if i have master vol up really high and gain on 11..is it a guitar issue? i have an Epiphone g-400 Goth.please help

  • With the amp at that volume and the trebble so high, its no wonder you are getting feedback issues, expecially if you have the stock pickups in your guitar. You might want to get the tubes checked out too.

  • heyah.thanks for replying..i did a lot of reaserch and ive sound out bout a thing called wax potting..can it help my pickups? and the el3 tubes are allmost new..bought the amp bout 4 month ago

  • would you sugest getting some emg 81s, an ISP decimator, jeave the amp distortion and buy a Boss Metal Zone? or in the worst case a new guitar that has the strings through the body so it absorves the string vibrations??

  • no no no everyone your wrong, i have this amp and the squeel is from the 'bright' switch being on while on the lead channel, turn that button off and hey presto ;)

  • Thats a possibility. The bright switch on this amp is pretty pointless.

  • i got the bugera 333-212 no bright switch here..

  • Ah, you didn't say which amp you were talking about, I assumed that because this is a 6262 clip, thats the amp you had. Again I'd look at your settings and your pickups. I usually play very loud and i have no feedback issues with my amps.

  • Your pickups may have gone microphonic, Shout into them, Do they pick it up?

    If so, replace the pickups

  • nope they dont pick it up

  • @zxkevkop Vai screams into his pickups on gigs; I'm sure his pickups don't need replacing...

  • and the speaker? it's a bugera?

  • No its a Marshal MF400

  • Great Lead Tones! Just bought a 6260 yesterday. So far, I love it. I tried Peaveys (all VK series), Randalls, etc. The Bugera 6260 sounded as good, if not better than all of them. Running a BOSS GT-10 through the clean channels for everything...sounds great.

  • I'd like to personally thank you for helping to sell me on Bugera. This morning, I drove home from Guitar Center with a brand new 6262 combo that I am very very very happy with. I owe you.

  • Thanks, enjoy!!

  • hey there dude im lookin at your settings im wonderin mine stays buzzy till about 5 or 6 and i never get to turn up louder im wonderin whats your trick to the tone your getting any externals and what cab? thanks a lot man

  • No externals other than a delay unit. I'm usin a Marshall MF400 cab.

  • There is more then delay friend i hear pitch shift in their? Whats the rack gear or you using pro tools and eventides effects come on man fess up brother!

  • @MusiciansQuarters Nope, dont own pro tools or eventide, never have. Certainly no pitch shift, its a horrible effect that I would never use, in fact I dont think there is a pitch shifter in any of the processors that I have. In this clip its just a short delay. Anyone with any experience of using short delays will know when you play consecutive notes fast, the new notes you are playing tend to harmonize the ones being delayed that you've already played, just ask Brian May ;)

  • Amazing once again friend!!I can't stop listening to her lol its my ears I hear a chorus effect then its not the delay, can you share what your fx rack is? And how this clip was actually recorded? Was the Fx and what kind in the loop did you record direct sm58 in to? Your other vids dont compare to this tone so something was brewing in the kitchen on this one and I liked the taste send me the recipe

  • @MusiciansQuarters Seriously, its just the amp and some delay, dont think I used any chorus on this one, athough I may have done. Its over a year old now. My FX at the time just consisted of a Zoom delay unit, and a Zoom modulation unit, nothing else. They were realy simple anlogue units, the ones where you can only use 1 fx at a time. I used them because they were inexpensive and better than a pedal. I recorded this just using a sony camcorder with a condensor mic, nothing else. My

  • aight huh......what pickups? what tuning? sorry just tryin to trouble shoot

  • the beginning sounds like Racer X- BRO

  • Wow thanks, one of my fave shred bands. PG is the daddy!!!!!

  • haha defenitely!!

  • What is the difference between the 333 and the 6262?

  • @XxXInSiDeOuTXxX overall tone the 6262 is gritter and less smooth in sound but the 33 is smooth and clean both are great.

  • Ok. Thanks a bunch.

  • @XxXInSiDeOuTXxX its cool glad it help and if ur buying a amp u allways wont to play it before hand kk just a tip k

  • i wanna buy one but its expensive

  • @12345678ix lol ur funny comparered to most amps it cheap .

  • in my range yes

  • wow sounds great imo, nice playing too!

I might buy one, only worried about it breaking down.

  • Thanks. Mine has never brojken down, I've had it a year now.

  • mtuck dedicated his amp to you XD

  • I swear these are rising in price ;_;

i need to get one quick.. even if i don't have the cab to go with it... i can worry about that afterwards.

  • 5 stars........ for your playing -not the amp :)

  • That sounds really great, can you say me what cabinets to use with the Bugera 6262 Top to get good results without paying too much?

  • Any of the Bugera cabs - 212, 412 angle, 412 straight

  • are you using any kind of noise gate? i bought this amp without trying it first and im afraid the lead channel will have a lot of feedback

  • what kind of guitar are you using?

  • hey can you please help out..when i play my bugera at

    Master Volume: 5

    Lead Chanel Vol. : 5

    Gain: higher than : 3

    Bass: higher then 3

  • whay zoom delay unit 1201?

  • This sounds great dude. What guitar and delay are you using?

  • Its a Zoom rack mount sudio delay/reverb unit. Pretty basic unit, but the audio quality is awsome compaired to pedals etc.

The guitar is a Washburn X50PRO QT.

  • Wow, relatively inexpensive overall for this kind of sound. Your skill adds to the sounds a bit, very dynamic and precise. Like Paul Gilbert with TONE haha. I like his tone, but you always wonder why only EVH improves his sound and keeps up with the times.

  • Wow thanks man. Yeah I like to keep things simple. I have a unit for delay, a unit for modulation FX such as Chorus and flange, and a Tremonti wah pedal on the floor. The guitar costs less than 1k, very nice axe for the price. Its the high end X50 without the ridiculous X on the fret board. I've said on here before, if I could go to a luthier and design my own guitar, it would prob come out very much like an X50 PRO.

  • Yes... I agree with JIGENZETA. Some units through the 6505+/6262 loop alter the tone way too musch even with everything bypassed and levelled correctly. Im trying to run an POD XT LIVE just for FX, and cant get it even 50% transparent. I dont get it... - Dont have that problem AT ALL on my JVM410. What can I do ?

  • What FX are you using? Line 6 is not known for noise free quality processing (although I will always have some kind of Line 6 product to play with). Try Eventide pedals. They have a nice selection now. 90% cheaper than the high end ones and looks like they are just as good (just have to choose which effects because you wont get them all in one).

  • I had the same probs with POD's. They have far too much factory preset EQ in the patces, and its a bastard to get rid of and get a pure tone. The problem is its meant to be a pre amp/FX unit. I hate L6 stuff anyway.

  • Yeah, I agree about L6 stuff. I got this XTL unit for my studio about 4 years ago back when I bought into the L6 Modeling hype. Didnt use it for about 2-3 yrs until I got the JVM. It turned out to work really well as a midi channel switcher/fx board for that amp, and just picked up a 6505+. So I wanted to use it the same (though no midi switching unfortunatly). I started messing with the Parametric EQ on the XTL and was able to replicate the FX free signal about 90-95%. Now it works as desired.

  • hi dingle1, i need your help... i bought a 6262 just last week and i noted a strage thing: when i try to run the fx unit in the loop the tone become less bassy.. it loose a lot of low end. i use a g.major and i'm tring other stuff but morless the tone always change a bit... it's normal whit this amp?.. does it need analog fx?.. pleace help me...

  • OK, I understand this problem very well. What many people don;t realise is that units like the G major actually have their own factory preset EQ settings that will alter an amps tone when put through the loop. What you have to do is either set all the EQ in the G major flat so that it doesn't alter the amps EQ, or adjust to suit your tone.

This is why I always use studio rack processors rather than designated guitar FX units, becuase they have no preset EQ.

  • Thanx for your answer, but the problem is that the eq is switched of. I'm using only my presets and I don't need this function at all... I tried to run the unit through the loop without engaging any fx block and the resoult was the same... I think it is a sort of mismatch with the g-major... now i'm plaing whit a v-amp in the loop and it doesn't alter the tone at all... it's unbeliveble... do you think the t.c.electronic m350 will be better?... thanx ...

  • Dont know, never tried one.

  • how much did you get the 6262 and the 333xl for?

  • Less than you'd get a Duel Rectifier for, much less ;)

  • in my country (greece) amps are much more expensive than how they are in america but the 6262 costs 729 euros and the 333xl about 650

  • I live in the UK.

  • dv247(.)com, the best site for europeans :) the 6262 costs only 409 euros!

  • whoa, thanks man!i had been stuck with thomann unfortunately

  • yeah same :) i found about this site 1 week ago

  • Hey, i love your videos. I want to get a Bugera and at the moment it is between the 6262 and the 6260. I don't need the extra EQ and would love to save $50. I am just wondering if there are any other differences I should be aware of (i.e difference in gain? which has more or is it equal? different number of tubes?)

    Thanks

  • Thanks. I don;t think there's any difference in gain. The 6262 has one more tube in the pre amp stage for the extra EQ.

  • It's a huge difference man. As I'm sure you know, the 6260(2) is a clone of the Peavey 5150, and the 6262 is the 5150 II. The extra preamp tube takes out a little bit of the gain, but overall makes it WAY tighter and less fizzy. I fucking despise 5150s, but I love the 5150 II just for that difference. Plus, when you're dialing in lead/rhythm tones, you might want that separate EQ more than you think you will.

  • I don't know much about tubes but if I can get more gain out of the 6260 then I would prefer that. You are probably right about the EQ but I can also get an external EQ. I also don't need 2 reverbs as I can just turn it on with the pedal.

  • Dude, they both have an overcompensatory amount of gain as it is. You can get the most disgustingly saturated tones at like 3 o'clock on the gain knob, even on the 6262, and with the 6260 you won't want it anywhere near there because it'll be fizzy as shit and it'll sound awful. If you're only saving $50, get the 6262. An external EQ will cost probably $100, if not more, and it'll be less convenient to use.

  • At the moment I use a piece of crap Line 6 Spider 3 stack and I am selling a guitar for $450 - $500. Dude, if I could get the 6262 I would do it instead of the 6260 but I need a hi-gain tube amp quick.

  • Then ask your neighbors if you can mow their lawn for $20, haha. Trust me man, it's worth it to wait a tad longer to get something significantly better.

  • Indeed, listen to this man, he knows his shit. And the gain maxed on these amps as all you'll ever need. I'm not sure I understand the current obsession with gain. Some of the heaviest bands out there actually dial gian out of their amps to get a punchier tone. This amp has more than enough for lead tones, and there's always overdirve pedals.I'd rather have the extra tone options and add an OD pedal than compramise EQ.

  • I tried out a 6260 today in a music store, and I was hooked in a second! Too bad it went through a valveking cab, though. They sound terrible! That cab made my valveking head sound like a bitch.

Im so close to buying a 6260 in a week, and running it in stereo or on A/B with my Randall.

Also, afaik the 6260 and the 6262 are only different in 2 ways, the clean channel on the 6262 has an EQ, and an additional pre-amp tube to drive the extra EQ, aye? Love your videos. Keep em commin'! \m/

  • Thanks. Yep thats the only differences I think.

  • The 6260 has a low gain and high gain input which the 6262 doesn't have.

  • i gotta know dingle !

What is more flexible in tone/ options out of the 6262 , or the 333XL ?

And what is your fav out of the both, because i was saving for a mesa, but i only have around 2000 which doesn't do crap if you want a boogie, but now that i've seen these beasts i must buy one ASAP !!

  • I don't really have a favourite. The 333XL is more flexible. On that budget buy em both ;)

  • sweet thanks,

Can the 6262 do lamb of god tones?

    Not only the 333XL ?

  • Dont see why not. Someone commented a while back that it sounds like MKIV. Personally I dont think it does, but you can get it close.

  • SOLD!! wow I gotta get one of these now!

  • Dingle, which amp do you think would cut through more in a rock band, the 333xl or the 6262?

  • Both of them have the ability to cut through in a ban stuation. Just depends which tone you prefer.

  • Stock preamp tubes? Or did you swap em? If so which do you recommend?

  • Stock tubes. If I swap em I'll go either elctro harmonix or GT's.

  • that playing was gross. my guitar has an easy life compared to yours. keep up the great playing.

  • Thanks!!

  • your tone

    your amp

    your solo

    all made me jizz =D

what cab are you using, btw?
