The interviewers mentioned that the Triple C's album(Rick Ross group) sold $4,000 copies! That's absolutely pathetic! Honestly, I feel like any artist, I don't care if you're Jay-Z, Lil Wayne, Drake, or whoever your are, any artist who puts out an album, your record sales reflect on how hard you really worked on the project and how hard you worked promoting yourself and the project! I don't care if an album took you 4 years to complete, if you didn't put forth the effort neccessary, you FAILED!

I disagree with you on this issue for one reason. There are many new and upcoming independent artists/groups that do not have a major label financing a lot of their expenses for marketing, promotions, touring expenses, etc. But in this case, I am assuming that Triple C is signed to a label that is backed by a major. Many major labels do not have a great of money to spend on their artists like they use to, perhaps if the marketing had been better, Triple C would have sold more albums.
