"Where's Your Head At" is a good song. I had been to Wildwood three-four times and since I didn't like coasters at the time, I missed out on the Sea Serpent, The Great Nor'Easter, and Great White. Now that I'm a thrill junkie (as far as rides go), I hope I get the chance someday to go back and ride those three coasters among other rides.
omg when me and my ex hubby were in our teens we rode this and my seat harness didnt lock so we had to do the whole ride with him holding it down as hard as he could...the pier rides are garbage and half run down i dont trust em especially that huge ass ferris wheel
@JennelleBelle My former step father, step brother and I got stuck near the top of that Ferris Wheel. My jackass step brother (who is older than me) shook it almost the entire time we were up there. Plus, I didn't like thrill rides half as much as I do now, so I was nervous. You're experience sounds much scarier though.

@TheWendywu hi wendy um i undastand how u feel i was like u when i was young n was totaly afraid of them but 1 day i decided 2 try 1 n it ended up being the best decision i ever made cuz now im hooked i luv roller coasters n yes the roller coasters at morey's piers are all safe especially the Sea Serpent the sea serpent goes through 3 safety inspections the begining the maintnence does a safety inspection on the whole ride then i do my inspection n do 5 test runs to make sure everything is good
@TheWendywu 2 go then we close it again in the middle of the day 2 do another safty inspection thats where the maintence guys come 2 inspect the train 2 make sure its safe n nothing bad happens so its a very safe ride its my baby so i make sure every guest is safe:) i will b opperating it again this summer so i will b there n make sure ur safe nothing bad will happen:) this roller coaster is not really that scary and before u kno it the ride will b done cuz its not that long u will luv it:)

@shelimarc um 2 b honest the exact middle of the train isn't really the best place 2 sit eitha cuz thats where u will feel all the flips more n when u go up the 2nd lift theres a hook directly undernieth that car which is car 4 that grabs a hold of the chain n its kinda scary cuz u feel it grabing n realease i wud recomend the 3rd or 5th car its still sum wut in the middle n not as bad then the front or back if ur a 1st timer:)

hmm, I love roller coasters, so there isn't really a "worst part" for me, but if I had to choose... the worst part... is probably the dropping down, forwards and backwards. Backwards though, if unexpected it can really make you feel sick, but here's a tip
when going up to drop backwards, you roll up a little more about 5 seconds or so, then you drop, that's all really

I HAVE no pics but thats why im on here ~lol~ i can tell you this much , there was i think 54 concrete trucks on the beach for the footings and i helped tie up alot of steel re bar ,that coaster is anchored real well into the sand ...
I helped build the serpent in 1984 , thanks to Lou Morey and his dad William ,i had the best year of my life in wild wood ! i am now 46 years old and look back at the great times i had and wish i could just go back in time ,,,,
i was there(i think i was about 7), when the serpent broke down and i don't remember if somebody died or what, but ambulances, cops, the whole shebang.
oh boy was i terrified that if i ever went on it, i would die, lol
but when your 7, that's some big trauma on a kid!
well i'm 15 now, and my dad gave me 5$ to go on it because i was too scared, haha
lol, thats funny... about a year before this video was recorded, my mom and bros were going on the udnerground go karts... and the fastest one which I was going to go on instead of my two other brothers when we were first in line, crashed and like 5-10 more people crashed into him... he flipped, and about an hour later, I saw the kid on a stretcher with a neck brace and stuff...
if you get the wrist pass, all access pass I guess is what it's called, then you can go on as many times as you want...
and yes, I did hold onto it tightly! xD I was soo scared to lose it, but half way through the ride, it was so bad to where I had to basically almost break the camera by holding it, lol
I love roller coasters, even if I've been on very few, but I just got this ultra portable 1080i HD Camcorder for Christmas - Canon VIXIA HF11... and next time I go on any coaster, I WILL BRING THAT, so I can get views of a roller coaster in HD! :D

great nor'easter is so fun it feels like ur flying and it night all the lights and when u are going up u feel the ocean breeze its really cool to be honest great nor'easter is less scary then sea serpent, on the sea serpent my strap is always a little loose

Omg if you look at the supports holding the two big drops while the train releases right before the reverse drop the supports wobble and bend. Its so freaky!

Reminds me of when I went to Six Flags NJ. When my friends forced me on the Superman, I already knew there would be a headfirst loop, but I didn't think the coaster was really as high as it seemed. But sitting belly down, looking at the ground, I was screaming before the first drop.
Yep that one. My family and I had gotten down there really late and read about it in the news paper when picking up Bagels. From what I read on a report that can be found online inspection was never done, some screws were missing and the back wheels came off. I liked the red trains but for obvious reasons they had to do away with them.
Oh wait... are you talking about Kingda Ka at Great Adventure?? I know the wheels on that ride flew completely off during a test ride when it first opened back in 2005.
Nope definitely talking about the Sea Serpent. It originally had red cars but they had to replace them for safety reasons with the current Green ones for safety reasons I'm assuming. It was mentioned in the report I found online. Finding the report isn't easy, I'll try to dig it up for ya. Do you know if there are any pictures or videos of the incident?
Hey Mr Pacman, My whole family lives in jersey lol an im from Jersey myself originaly lake hopatcong, We have been going to Wild Wood since I was about 8 im 31 now and try to go atleast a minimun of 5 times every year!! It suks the castle burned down that was cool too!!

actually, honestly, take my word...
Going backwards is LESS scary then going forwards, cause you don't see everything happening.
You just feel a lot better, and it feels more fun going backwards - not from a thrill, but from a relief

I love roller coasters, even if I've been on very few, but I just got this ultra portable 1080i HD Camcorder for Christmas - Canon VIXIA HF11... and next time I go on any coaster, I WILL BRING THAT, so I can get views of a roller coaster in HD! :D

great nor'easter is so fun it feels like ur flying and it night all the lights and when u are going up u feel the ocean breeze its really cool to be honest great nor'easter is less scary then sea serpent, on the sea serpent my strap is always a little loose

Omg if you look at the supports holding the two big drops while the train releases right before the reverse drop the supports wobble and bend. Its so freaky!

omg I love this roller coaster soo muchh but i was in the first seat & when it goes backwards upside down no lie i thought i was falling out!!! i was holding on for dear life but it was soo0o much funn . & in the beginning wen u goe thrue the little tunnel thingg it looks like yourr gonna like hit your headd cuzz its a steep hill lol (:

Reminds me of when I went to Six Flags NJ. When my friends forced me on the Superman, I already knew there would be a headfirst loop, but I didn't think the coaster was really as high as it seemed. But sitting belly down, looking at the ground, I was screaming before the first drop.

Yep that one. My family and I had gotten down there really late and read about it in the news paper when picking up Bagels. From what I read on a report that can be found online inspection was never done, some screws were missing and the back wheels came off. I liked the red trains but for obvious reasons they had to do away with them.

Oh wait... are you talking about Kingda Ka at Great Adventure?? I know the wheels on that ride flew completely off during a test ride when it first opened back in 2005.

Nope definitely talking about the Sea Serpent. It originally had red cars but they had to replace them for safety reasons with the current Green ones for safety reasons I'm assuming. It was mentioned in the report I found online. Finding the report isn't easy, I'll try to dig it up for ya. Do you know if there are any pictures or videos of the incident?

Hey Mr Pacman, My whole family lives in jersey lol an im from Jersey myself originaly lake hopatcong, We have been going to Wild Wood since I was about 8 im 31 now and try to go atleast a minimun of 5 times every year!! It suks the castle burned down that was cool too!!
