There's a reason for hair stylists, that's to cut your hair. We work hard to become a licensed cosmetologist. We are trained to CORRECTLY cut, color and style your hair.
@RokkTheDisco You have to understand, getting your hair cut regularly can be REALLY expensive for some people. I have a friend who goes to get his hair cut, he has a buzz cut and to just get the SIDES shaved, costs him a good amount of money...girls pay a lot more for a lot more work. Some people can't afford to do that. I haven't had my hair cut by a real stylist in a very long time, simply because I just can't afford it...it's easier to cut it myself, and put the money towards bills or food.

We are still properly trained and I cut people's hair all the time... with the expensive part... we some schools charge dirt cheap for professional cuts, my school charges 5 dollars! And the point behind what I am saying is that sometimes clients come in and tell us to fix their hair b/c they screwed up on doing it themselves.

You said how to cut it in choppy layers, but how? Like, where and stuff.. I just did my own hair & I did an entire layer just straight across.. It looks awful.. Just wondering if you had any tips?

Thank you!! I hate getting my hair cut at salons.. they charge a ton and it never comes out exactly how I want it, unless I go to some fancy place that charges $100+. Mucho better to just do it myself!

i always take small chunks of hair and cut off the split ends. sometimes i spend hours at a time going through my hair. i had a traumatic hair experience a year ago and i can't bring myself to go into a salon. plus i don't have $ anyway. your video helped me realize my spit end cutting habit is sort of like your hair trimming. i never thought to do an all over trim on myself, but what i do now is so similar that i think i'm gonna just trim my hair. thanks for the video!

Your really pretty but you should try using proffesional hair cutting sheers.
With the scissors you have,your hair can come out choppy looking..

i was cutting my layers, then i cut my ends by accident. i took about 2" off, but its nice. everyone is complimenting it, and saying how it looks like a hairdresser done it. lmfaoo!
but yeah, my parents dont know either, i did this on friday, its now sunday.
