Good story. But Mohatu was dead by the time Mufasa was born I think cos Mufasa said in a book that his father Ahadi told him that Mohatu was Ahadi's ANCESTOR.
There is only one Disney book about Mohatu, and it is called "The Brightest Star". In that book, Mohatu is specifically Mufasa's grandfather (I have taken creative license by having him alive when Mufasa is born - that is not mentioned in the text). Ahadi is not mentioned in "TBS"; he appears only in "TLK6NA" which is different.
Either way, Choyo would be a little old to be Zira's mate, seeing as he is an adult lion in "TBS" in the time of Mufasa's grandfather. Possible, though.

In the story, "A Tale of Two Brothers", Scar's name is Taka and his and Mufasa's parents are Ahadi and Uru. There is also a book called "The Brightest Star" where Mohatu is Mufasa's grandfather.
Scans of these books can be found on my photobucket (account name: koraden) and elsewhere. They are published by Disney and are generally regarded as semi-canon, NOT fan-made.

@TheBoochan82 But you don't know for sure that he was shunned... Maybe Mufasa tried getting his brother to get out in the open and be social and stuff, and Scar shunned himself. We'll never know

Mufasa (who is telling the story to Simba) calls this lion a selfish, greedy lion. That is why I named him Choyo. ;) It doesn't have anything to do with this video, just the original storybook.

So whatever you heard was no more canon than the name Choyo is. It's personal opinion.

And Mohatu isn't necessarily an evil lion, he just had to make a difficult choice. Who knows what would have happened if Choyo stayed? It's quite possible that Choyo may have killed Mohatu like Scar would do to Mufasa later, or Mohatu may have killed him to protect the pride. He wanted his brother to live, so he sent him away.
it was ok the 2 major things i disliked was the begging "so wht story would u like to here? "u had a brother?!" ya that didnt even make since. the 2nd thing is the story line they were great bros but then u have the father of all people give his older son the idea that his brother will try to take the throne from him and that he should exile him. so he finnally becomes king and hes just so worried about it that he does exile. so now there just like how scar and mufasa would end up
I made this story as an obvious parallel to Mufasa and Scar. Mohatu becomes king and has a peaceful reign, but he has to betray and exile his brother to do so. Mufasa is kind to his brother, but dies as a result, so influenced by this story Mohatu told him that he let Scar stay.
The concept that what our elders tells us has a huge influence on our lives is why I selected the storytelling format...exactly the same as The Brightest Star, where Mufasa is telling Simba about his grandfather.

Actually he never did exile him. Scar just kinda..kept to himself on the edge of the pridelands. ~SPOILER~
Scar Killed Mufassa and Simba exiciled scar but he kept fighting and ended up murdered by the Doggies (higheyans-spell fail) XD
