  • Yeah and what real, red-blooded male would ever admit that another man made any part of him tingle. None that I know.

  • "I have lived the dream but ALSO in THIS country?" Perhaps this asshole should do some research on how other nations have treated minorities as well. Only in America can people transcend racial identity into something great. Morons like Matthews have to recreate race apparently because they cannot see beyond skin as for who people are...and looking at who Obama is, he is also a fool.

  • DAMN STRAIT!! If you are black there is no better nation to live in on earth. Who the hell would rather live in Kenya, or Haiti?

    Fuck Mathews.

  • Uhh.... he was making the point that America has not really gotten to promoting the dream entirely yet, and i would argue that about half the world (Africa, Europe, and bits of the far east) are further than us in tolerance for minorities

  • McCain Regains Upper Hand on Leadership Dimension NEW

    September 9, 2008

By 52% to 41%, Americans say the phrase "strong and decisive leader" better describes John McCain than Barack Obama, a shift from after the Democratic National Convention. McCain is seen as more honest and a better government manager, while Obama is viewed as more caring.

I guess Obama didn't. McCain's lead is getting bigger get use it. Mathews you liberal talk show host.

  • chris should just go ahead and hump obama's leg and get it over with. what a loser!

  • lol..lol...You do have a way of stating the obvious in as few words as possible. That is one line I am appropriating. Sums Matthews up exactly...God! I am still laughing.

  • It was a very good speech, i'll give ehim that much. But the best speech ever, I dont think so. You must be in love with Obama to think that or you have only heard this speech in your life time.

  • The "Christian" right acts like the devil. These are the people who blow up abortion centers, killing all inside, as IF they were not people also. Please don't imply that Catholics have never had abortions, because that would be a lie. Catholicism teachs no abortions and no birth control. Then when a woman gets pregnant, they are on their own. What kind of country lays their mothers out to fail? Abstinence doesn't work when everything in the media is centered around sex and sexual images.

  • And Home schooling is just weird but your welcome to it.

  • I find it scary when people start to make excuses for Rev. Wright's behavior. Are all of you really so pro-Obama that you are willing to overlook the fact that Obama was exposed to a racist pastor for 20 years?

I don't want that bigot Obama anywhere near the White House. I want a president who will treat everyone equally and will respect the people he/she works for.

    What a concept huh?

  • I find it scary when people start to act like Rev Wrights the one running for office he's not Obama is.

Nothing Obama has said or done has been racist and he is the only one tryna bring us together....so get on board or go jump off a cliff

  • I'd rather jump of a cliff than support that loser Obama.

  • I say jump.....one less McCain voter

  • I can't stand him either, you shortsighted dimwit.

  • see thats the problem with democrats. they assume too much.

  • Why don't you sleep with him Chris???!!!

  • Chris Mathews is so in the tank for Obama. Barack delivers a great speech but when you read the text it's the same game--double-standard excuses and moral equivalence of the worst sort (comparing Wright' vicious hate speech with your own priest, minister or rabbi and betraying his grandmother. Remember Jackson saying the same thing?

Barack shows himself to be just another politician doing damage-control and Matthews and Olberman are proven to be as dishonest and biased as many have claimed.

  • You probably didn't hear the speech, and by the sound of your rant, you probably don't intend to anyway.

Reverend Wright's statements weren't about whites, but about the US Government, and most people have qualms with them, be it under Reagan, Clinton, or even in the 70's. And he didn't "betray" his grandmother. In fact, it was quite the contrary. He stated the truth, these were the kind of thoughts she used to have because of how she was trained by society back then, just like Wright.

  • Yeah, heard and read; it's two different speeches.

The only training being done is to make whites walk on eggshells as part of the incessant demand for a 'conversation about race.' They must accept all blame and excoriation or be branded racists.

The most racist people in this country are the likes of Cornell West, Maxine Waters and the 'gangsta' culture.

  • Was it the Indians fault they got wiped out, were Blacks at fault for the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade or Japanese Internship, or Jim Crow or lynchings. We're lucky there wasn't an armed revolt in this country. Racism to you is when someone makes a bigoted comment to me its oppression, lack of opportunity, and hopelessness...until you have felt this you have no idea what racism truly is.

  • It was the Africans enslaving conquered tribes and then trading with the Portuguese that enlarged the 'business' overseas. Slaving still exists in Muslim countries.

The Abolitionists were white, and there were black slaveowners in the South. Whites are not the problem here.

So-called 'Black leaders' consistently work against programs like Parental School Choice despite overwhelming desire on the part of black citizens. They're still keeping their people on the plantation. That's racism.

  • New you'd go there...Waring African tribes assisted in the seizure of slaves and were compensated but were not principle players in the actual Slave Trade nor to the horrors faced during middle passage and on the actual not the "figurative" plantation.

Abolitionist were white and Black "Frederick Douglas"

School choice is nothing but an excuse to defund public schools and to purchase equal education for some on the cheap.

It does not begin to adequately address the issue of failing schools.

  • Yeah, facts as intellectual trickery, you've seen through my clever ploy.

"...purchase equal education..." This is somehow wrong?

Schools fail because they control the money and the customers (parents) are legally beholden to them. Power follows money. Schools and students will improve when the parents control the dollars and where their kids go to school.

  • If you want school choice then you have to fund it your self like my parents did. Isn't that the conservative cry pull yourself up by your bootstraps. AS for public schools, bills still gotta be paid, heat still has to be on, facilities maintained, lunches provided, books purchased and yes teachers and administrators have to be paid. Why send much needed public money to already adequately funded private schools. Its not always the school failing sometimes the community is failing them

  • Why send much needed tax-money to overfunded ($11K/student/yr) poorly-managed schools that exist primarily to serve the interests of administrators and teachers' unions?

The community does not exist to serve the public school monopoly. This system, which delivers a substandard product at outrageous costs would collapse immediately except for legal compulsion.

Witness the current attempts to kill home-schooling in CA

  • Over funded??? Not in my neighborhood. Look some of your complaints are valid, however turn the page whats the answer, ship everyone to private school, thats impractical so then only some get out, what happens to the masses? They r left in "falling schools" that now have less money to operate. Maybe the answer isn't defunding a vital public service but for parents and community to support these neighborhood schools that have to deal with in many cases some of the most challenging students.

  • well since his black grandma is black Kenyan....kinda pointless 2 use her as an example when he was addressing the deep seated stereotypes in America about blacks and whites....whom he comes from.

ps. lool kioti077....even though that last line of yours is vomit inducing....it was hysterical.

  • Obama has two grandmothers, one white, one black, but only the white one was compared to Wright.

  • The black Grand Ma in kenya, doesnt know about descrimination as she has never lived in a place where u have other races than hers. the comparison was better made between Rev Wright and his white grand Ma because both of them have lived in a place where they had other races around

  • There are other races in Kenya besides black people.

  • not in the small village in which the old woman lives. Indians and other Asians ,as well as whites are in the major cities

  • I've visited Kenya (both cities and villages) and there are other races there. Would you like to see my photos? I'll trade mine for yours.

  • Well,I am Kenyan and yes i dont mind exchanging pictures

  • What's your email address?

  • It's funny i have been reading how Chris Mathews had expressed he had a tingling sensation in his leg every time he heard Obama speak, and now Olbermman seems to feel the same they are going to have a bitch figth hair pulling, srcatching etc. to see whom sucks Obamas dick, what little pair of bitches.

  • Ha ha ha! Crude, but funny. I used to like Chris Matthews...before he fell head over heels for Obama. Which leg tingles?

  • Probably his 3rd leg tingles, judging by his love for Obama.

  • People had to hold their noses to vote for John Kerry in 2004, and then the loser endorsed Obama (kiss of death).

I will never hold my nose, ever. That's why I voted for Hillary, and my, it felt SO GOOD.

P.S.- Tax return deadline is April 15th, that's when she said she is releasing them (which she has repeated 20 times).

You far left, Pelosi-liberals, can keep your saint, just don't be surprised when America is greeted by John McCain.

  • I've always been a supporter of gay rights...until now.

  • johnorson you are so right. He probably lied about his grandmother. Obama's entire campaign has been nothing but lies. Obama's entire life has been associated with individuals or groups that hate America and White people. Surprises? Its still early in the campaign and I am sure he has more skeletons in the closet.

  • I feel like Chris Mathews. I would like to see Obama rise above the fray and become the first black president. I have seen where blacks could not eat at certain restaurants or sleep at certain hotels to Obama maybe becoming the first black presient. My, how we are blessed.

  • Sad Obama saves his preacher throws grandmother under the bus. 20 years with this preacher and 10 years in Indonesia with a radical muslim stepdad dad that's 30 years of his life. Anymore surprises

  • wow
