@urorangeumoron Irritable bowel syndrome is an inflammatory bowel disease. Inflammatory bowel disease is a functional GI disorder. So you're wrong, they're right.

@StevenMProductions, IBS cannot be IBD because it is an idiopathic syndrome, not a disease (the "D" in IBD). IBD is Crohn's and UC. There is no inflammation in IBS like in IBD. Finally, Rome III criteria states that symptoms of IBD are not compatible with IBS and automatically exclude IBS as a possible diagnosis.

i had chronic diarrhea for 8 months. The doctor was going to charge me a fortune for a colonoscopy and antibiotics. I been eating bananas, drinking gator-aid, and drank lac-taid milk for the following year and I'm back to a healthy way of going #2. Don't believe everything they say!
