  • In my school days in the 70s and 80s we would all stand every morning and sing this song right after saying the pledge of allegiance. I remember the feeling you got from it and how damn good it felt. School really taught kids love of country back then I hope some still do. "Ask not what your country can do for you..But what you can do for your country"...John. F. Kennedy.

  • everyone steals God Save the Queen.....smh

  • @SlyFox70100 I don't think you understand the origins of this song. The Star Spangled Banned war taken from a British song as well. It's kind of an "in your face" kinda thing.

  • thank u for the song . i need to sing this song to get to the henrico county chrous competization

  • God bless the USA and Ireland

  • @oijdeagu lol I'm late to the party I guess. I just had never heard it. I guess I wasn't paying attention during the Olympics whenever a Brit won gold!

  • THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS GOOD YEAR! GOD BLESS THE USA AND HER ALLIES!

  • I was so glad to find a version of this song with CHILDREN singing so that my KIDS could watch the video and be engaged during our social studies class. I wish they couldn't read, though...the comments are a little gross.

  • Huh... God Save the Queen? Well, Star Spangled Banner itself is merely a British drinking song with new poorly written lyrics, so I suppose it makes sense. Is there an American Rule Britannia?

  • @Injektilo7 This tune has been around longer than your anthem has. It is originally French, not British, for your information.

  • I will fight for a nation where everybody is equal. Not for some higher majesty I am forced to love. I love the country and the people with in it. God shall not save the queen. LET FREEEEEEDOMMM RING!!!!!!!!

  • Why don't they just sing 'god save the queen' instead and be done with it?

It's George III they had a problem with, not Elizabeth II :-)

  • @superdan1875 Whats the point of having a queen anyway?

  • @GalaktikNinjA

For exactly the same reason that The USA has a President.

The Queen serves as the British Head of State.

Without a Head of State, the British and American systems of Government do not work.

  • @superdan1875

America doesn't have a queen, so it wouldn't work.

  • my country tis of thee seewt land of liberty

  • me gusta esta musica

  • If you didn't tear up hearing those innocent young patriots sing this glorious song, you ain't fit to call yourself American!

  • Okay, for those of you stating that "My Country 'tis of thee" is a rip off of "God Save the Queen", you're right. However, The U.S. isn't the only country to have the same tune to "God Save the Queen." The Liechtenstein National Anthem, Oben am jungen Rhein, has the same exact tune as well. So it's kind of pointless to call this a rip off when lots of other songs have the same tune.

  • The irony in this song is laughable, and I'm from the good ole' US of A.

  • This is a British song??? Wow! I did not know that! I'll have to look up "God Save the Queen." Thanks for enlightening this American! :)

  • @di4wabe How can you not have heard the British national anthem??????????? It's one of the most famous songs and tunes in the world.

  • God save our gracious Queen

  • I'm American and I just discovered this song, it's a rip-off of the British Anthem.

  • @Antidisestablishmify Mmm hmm, I realised as well, thumbs up to you. And I am Australian, I looked it up because it was in my Ocarina song book...

  • this is how England secretly won the civil war, being american is just being English with an accent :)

  • @thestalkinghead O_o no. Though I love English people, we have our great differences.

  • They just copied God Save the Queen???? I heard this in the simpsons and wondered why they were playing God Save the Queen, they I searched the name of the song they said it was, and it was supposed to refer to America? huh, they just copied the british anthem..

  • @waterlizardz123 Umadbro?

  • Im an Atheist, but I do not believe this song or any other should be removed from our Schools. It has a very deep patriotic meaning and I push my children to sing this along with the national anthem in school!

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN

  • To be fair, this is the exact same melody as God save the queen, which, came first...

  • @Jordanator1997 i agree

  • I have acquired visiting map of home of brave and land of free and no where go go bar...

Look, I drop my dime yanke dodle..

    Oh, Hellow Director ...

  • Rip off song you rip off god save the queen

  • @drnachos If I was the queen I would be more mad about us ripping off a giant part of their colonial assets, but yeah we stole the melody which the british stole from the Scots or from some old bar-room song, boo hoo

  • In a complex global economy, to avoid world economic turmoil, the United States needs to have a global presence. People don't understand that if the United States were to leave the Middle East in a short period of time, oil prices would go thru the roof.

    Great song.

  • this is our backup anthem

  • @peanutboy003 Lol good luck with the copyright infringement there...

  • RESTORE THIS COUNTRY TO IS FORMER GLORY FUCK ALL THE CORRUPT POLITICIANS AND ALL THE CORRUPT POLITICAL PARTIES LETS STAY OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES SHIT!

  • God bless the United States,

    And God save our Queen.

  • america was truly a great country, but i don't like what it's become today....but i still wave my flag high and stand by my country, god bless america

  • Luv the songg!! Like if u agree

  • @BiblicalReference You are a terrorist! Or are you a communist?

  • @TheHerrUnwichtig I like america, that was said ironically. I also like all of the other countries. I affiliate with the lazy liberal party.

  • @BiblicalReference FUCK AMERICA? Ok, get off our video, website, internet, stop listening to our music, watching our tv shows, and standing behind our dress when the shit hits the fan. Funny how you fuckers rode the gravy train for the past century because of us, now you guys talk shit on us nonstop because we had turmoil. What a bunch of fair weather fake friends, huh.

  • @Jsd8675 im american, i rather be british, fuck america, this place is lazy and evryone here a prick

  • @PFCRatoulli Well, at least someone can see America for what it truly is. I'm truly ashamed of being an American now and completely agree with everything you say. How much money you have is the most important thing here, even if it means destroying what little the middle and lower classes hold dear. Fuck America, fuck America indeed! I hope my country (America) fails soon. The world will be better off!

  • @UtahImplosion Well I'm really hoping for Ron Paul. He believes in the Constitution and is the only thing in this country that gives me any hope.

  • @Jsd8675 suck your own dick faggot

  • OUR FATHERS GOS TO THEE, AUTHOR OF LIBERTY, TO THEE WE SING.

LONG MAY OUR LAND BE BRIGHT WITH FREEDOM'S HOLY LIGHT, PROTECT US THY O'MIGHT GREAT GOD OUR KING.

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER ALLIES!

  • "Our fathers' God to Thee, Author of liberty, To Thee we sing. Long may our land be bright, With freedom's holy light, Protect us by Thy might, Great God our King."

  • Comment removed

  • Really dislike like this use of the tune. God forbid that the US national athem was ever used by another country to say how great it was. There would be so many complaints and so much histronics coming from your side of the atlantic it would be unbelievable. Please leave our national anthem alone we wouldnt do it to yours, we're not that arrogant

  • God save our gracious Queen,

    Long live our noble Queen,

    Oh crap, sorry wrong song.

  • nice steal of the british anthem there...

  • @tombrownsybrownmsn I'd get annoyed at that any other time of the year, but it's the 10th anniversary of 9/11, so i say let them have it for the time being, we have one of the closest alliances in the world today anyway. Britain and America brothers in arms

  • @tombrownsybrownmsn This song was written, what, over 100 years ago? What difference does it make now?

  • God save our gracious Queen,

    Long live our noble Queen,

    God save the Queen:

    Send her victorious,

    Happy and glorious,

    Long to reign over us:

    God save the Queen.

  • GOD BLESS OUR CORRUPT ASS AMERICA AND NO PLACE ELSE! :)

  • @DJToneLoke lol

  • Now i like the Brits with out them we would have amazing rock and roll bands like Led Zep, Pink Floyd and ERIC CLAPTON!! but without american blues men there would be no rock and roll. If the U.S was never attacked by the Japenese WWll wouldve dragged on for god knows how long. U.K and U.S.A are brothers in arms.

  • Liberty, I can be gay.

I can love who ever will love me.

    I can express myself.

I can say what's on my mind.

I can be the best I can be.

    God Bless America!!

  • Our fathers' God to Thee,

    Author of liberty,

    To Thee we sing.

Long may our land be bright,

    With freedom's holy light,

    Protect us by Thy might,

    Great God our King!

  • @TheRapper10000 Best chorus.

  • Dear god, so much strife on this page. The melody is beautiful. America is a wonderful continent(all of it) and the US is an okay country to live in... I really miss singing this song in elementary choir. :)

  • america, sweet land of forced servitude to government...let freedom ring, indeed

  • @longfootbuddy What an ignorant comment. Do we have the right to vote for our representatives, the ones that make the laws? Yes we do. Therefore it is our laws and our country. The taxes we pay are as a result of the laws passed by our representatives that we voted for. If we don't like it, then we can change it.

  • @jbranstetter04 wow the biggest group gets to choose our leaders? the majority gets to decide how much tax ill hand over, and what rules ill live by? we? we? what about me? what if i dont want any of this shit? move to rwanda? you are the ignorant fool that knows nothing about freedom

  • @longfootbuddy You're a very ridiculous person for sure. What are you, a 12 year old Anarchist? Yes, the majority wins in an election. And yes, the majority in a governing body makes the laws. And yes, you have to follow those laws. There is no other way. Would you have everyone making their own laws, just for themselves? It's not really worth commenting here, but it's worth a try. Don't get me wrong; I'm for a very small government, one that stays out of our lives as much as possible.

  • @jbranstetter04 yeah, all you fools make it a habbit to call anyone that speaks the truth, ridiculous...keep defending your tyrant government, fool

  • Thank you America, my country, my home, my pride.

  • love singing this...brings me back to my choir days in elementary school

  • Happy Independence Day my beloved fellow Americans! God save the Queen to our English comrades. Togather we will always fight fascism and terrorism as brothers.

  • @Houdini774 We dont seem to be fighting the facist papacy who hates our US constitution.

  • Brits and Americans get along now people need to chill.

  • why are the lyrics wrong

  • @Vanpants lol better than the original lyrics

  • @Vanpants because Americans cant think of their own tune

  • @randomvidsbymee it wasn't your tune to begin with

  • @randomvidsbymee I'm pretty sure we have more patriotic tunes then your country. Zinger.

  • @randomvidsbymee We have way better tunes then your country fag

  • I love you, America.

Happy 4th of July everyone. :)

  • There is nothing more precious than children singing patriotic music. ^_^

  • God Save The Queen.

  • @KidNekoTatsuke god fuck the queen, undeserving bitch

  • God bless rudy smejkal

  • LONG MAY OUR LAND BE BRIGHT WITH FREEDOM'S HOLY LIGHT PROTECTS THY O MIGHT GREAT GOD OUR KING!

  • We British can't keep anything to ourselves... ha ha. Still it needs a little bit of 'God save the Queen' in there for good measures :)

  • The Irish nuns in grade school used to have us sing this at mass, so, just to get them irked, a few buddies and I (4th grade, mind you) would sing the lyrics to "God Save the Queen".

  • Hello ! Maybe some, here, will be interested to know this music was written by JB. Lully, after a severe illness of King Louis 14 of France, a little before 1700. It was sung by Saint-Cyr School (for young poor girls, with parents ruined by wars) Pupils, and the legend says King Louis 14 cried, hearing it. Of course, everybody knows what's happened then about that music. More details : just ask !

  • Anybody notice this is the exact same melody as the British national anthem?

  • @EliteOfTheRad true, but now the song has good lyrics

  • God Bless The U.S.A..

    I really love The U.S.A..

  • Oh man, and there's kids singing it too; it reminds me of elementary school.

I remember singing the first verse of this song every day in Kindergarten, after saying the Pledge of Allegiance and before school officially started. Good memories!

  • I 'm a brazilian but i cry listening this...wonder !!!

God bless America if 80% belives in overnatural beeings...by the way...the american-natives used to belived on this "stuffs" !!!

    New rings of bells songing!!!

  • Great video, Though I missed all the homeless children in the video, what are they over a million by now?

  • Long Live our Land be bright with Freedom's Holy Light, Protect us thy o might. GREAT GOD OUR KING.

  • I'd like to make it crystal clear, any Redcoat badmouthing the USA needs to take a long look at their own imperialist laden history. The crown has brought much harm and oppression to the world via her precious "colonies". The Irish kicked your royal asses first for over 800 years, then American minute men crushed you. If it weren't for Americans, every Brit and the Queen herself would certainly be speaking German right now.

    God Bless America!!!

  • God save our gracious queen,

    Long live our noble queen,

    Long live the queen.

    Send her victorious,

    Happy and glorious,

    Long to reign over us,

    God save the queen.

  • @DroneFragger And where is that band who so vauntingly swore

That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion

A home and a country should leave us no more!

  • I bleed red, white, and blue

  • And England didn't cast out the people who founded this country. They left because they wanted religious freedom. And to be away from the King. Obviously your a dumbass but did you realize not everyone in this country is British?

  • America is not a continent. America is another name for the United States of America. Which is in NORTH America.

  • @ihavtugo acctually, the europeans named the whole damn continent America, so it is the name of the continent.

  • America is a CONTINENT. No a COUNTRY U STUPIDS OBESE RETARDEDS YANKEES! U ARE USA!

  • @oXBerserkerXo

I hope you realize 'America' is a short term for 'United States of America'. But yes, to be general, anyone living from Canada to Argentina are technically Americans.

  • @oXBerserkerXo it it wasn't for us "stupid obese retarded yankess" you wouldn't have this page to comment on, or the internet at all for that matter, nor would you have television, phones, cars, or really anything along the lines of technalogical advancement. we're proud to be a nation technically we are americans, as are canadians, and the people of south america. they choose not to claim it as we do.

  • @LegoRandomness243 Phones were invented by Alexander Graham Bell: a Canadian.

  • Comment removed

  • @LegoRandomness243 We call ourselves americans because we don't have a cool name, or would you call yourself a United Statetian? No, so american it is. And you forgot to mention central america...

  • america the beautiful. america the country dying from its people. america the obese.

  • americathebeautiful1, Thanks for sharing this! Makes me even more proud to be an american!

  • The name of my country is America. It maybe the United States of America now, but it will be America forever.

  • lol. I can’t believe people care that the American stole it from the Brits. Its just a good song. Take a chill pill.

  • The queen does, or was at least meant to, represent britain. The monarch is not supposed to be thought of as an individual but more like an institution. The verses of god save the king/queen date back to the 1700s (if that's wrong I'm sorry) and they're original meaning and the meaning of the words differs now as we are looking at it from a modern perspective

  • It's nice that American's are proud of their country... but the level some quite a number take it to is just ridiculous and probably the reason why the world generally dislikes America. There's a lot of good stuff there, but a lot of corruption as well. 2 innocent tourists from my home country have just recently been murdered in the states for... well... no reason.

God bless the 50% of America that truly deserve it.

  • @afcbczech The "States" don't kill people, people kill people. Innocent people are killed for ...well...no reason, every day,in every country.Evil is universal. We, the American people have every right to be proud, we are a symbol of hope to much of the world's worst off. I would suggest that the "world's dislike of the U.S. is rooted in some of that universal evil....

  • @HeReigns33

Or maybe it is rooted in the arrogance of your vocal minority who is pissing on every other country in the world.

They don't show any respect to others. And over all your holier-than-thou you forget a lesson you never learned in your short joke of a countries history - everything that rises will fall eventually. Europe and the middle east are full of ruins of nations like yours. Reflect on what makes your country admireable - and than look on what you export in the world right now.

  • @HeReigns33 I agree that it isn't because of the "States" that these people died. But the fact that you're suggesting your country as being a "symbol of hope" suggests that you consider your country to be the best. It's okay to like your country, but honestly, a number of Americans I have spoken to consider no aspect of any other nation to be able to compete with America including stupid things like food, cleaning products etc... this attitude is just plain arrogance.

  • @afcbczech I don't think our country is the "best"(well I do,but not the way you suggest). I believe us to be a symbol of hope to people who are oppressed in their home countries. I wish we would just close (and lock) our borders, become isolationist, and just keep to ourselves.

  • @afcbczech crime happens everywhere, dont act like its just in the US. And honestly, there are few uncorrupted countries out there, and that doesnt include Britain......

  • @afcbczech

That's truely sad to hear, but don't blame a whole country for that.

  • Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel

  • I am an asian male

  • Long may our land be bright,

    With freedom's holy light,

    Protect us by Thy might,

    Great God our King.

  • i song this song

  • @shoot646 Good for you, son. I bet you made your momma and America proud.

  • I have tears in my eyes!! GOD BLESS AMERICA

  • Praise God for allowing me to grow up FREE!! Thank you Lord!

  • GOD BLESS AMERICA AND HER ALLIES!

  • Yeah, we stole the tune. But it is not our official national anthem. If it was our national anthem then the Brits might have something to complain about. However, our lyrics are much better than the UK lyrics. Our lyrics talk about liberty, freedom, God and country. (God is our king.) Whereas the UK lyrics honor one mortal, flawed person.

  • @mountainwalrus100 Wrong, the original version God Save the Queen is not solely about the Queen. They on many occasions say 'God save us all' referring to Britons, the song itself uses the term 'Queen' to personify the country, it's talking about everything, the military all the way down to our way of life.

  • @mj2w1 if you were to make a video montage like this one with god save the queen what would it look like?

  • @mj2w1 Bull shit. The "Queen" doesn't personify the country, the military, and the way of life of the UK. The Queen personifies the Queen. You are such an idiot. And the UK good lyrics are in the second and third verses that nobody knows or sings. The first verse is the thing that goes through everybody's head on the Olympic gold medal podium. Your song is worshiping a mortal Queen. Our lyrics are so much better. God is our King. Queen Elizabeth is your King. Who wins there?

  • @mountainwalrus100 We're secular brah

  • @mountainwalrus100

The Queen wins even without fighting. As my daughter wins against the easterbunny and the boogyman.

Simple because there is none. No God. No win. The only one fighting in the name of whatever God are humans.

  • @mountainwalrus100 If the British national anthem honors one mortal, flawed person, what is the purpose of this verse in the anthem:

    "Not in this land alone,

    But be God's mercies known,

    From shore to shore!

    Lord make the nations see,

    That men should brothers be,

    And form one family,

    The wide world ov'er"

  • Heil dir im Siegerkranz, Herrscher des Vaterlands, Heil Kaiser dir...

  • It is VERY common for a tune to have many songs attached to it. This is the tune not only of "God Save the Queen" and "My Country 'Tis of Thee," but also "Anthems to God Above" and other hymns. Another example: Three US States set their state songs to the same tune as that Christmas favorite, "O Tannenbaum."

  • "America can sing/make up any song and steal your jingle if we want. As much as the Brits hate us, America is the outcome of the Brits turning on their own. Basically we are Brits that evolved, and we updated your precious anthem too. You're welcome."

  • @AmericanUnrest At least our country isn't based on a massacre of the locals. Just saying.

  • @Renjikicksass LOL actually you're ancestors are anglo saxons--who came to england and massacred the britons, welsh, scots, and went on to enslave the irish (and blacks). Oh and bigger lol, it was the british who started the colonies and britain who ran them until 1776.

  • @Renjikicksass When it comes to massacres, your country wrote the book on it.

Look up the The Tasmanian Genocide, and see your countrys evil history unfold before your very eyes.

    Just saying.

  • @AmericanUnrest Well said ;)

  • Comment removed

  • @AmericanUnrest Where is that from and why is it in quotations

  • @AmericanUnrest LOL YOUR THE BRITS THAT NOBODY WANTED AND SENT AWAY TO AN ISLAND THEY DIDNT EVEN KNOW WAS THERE OR NOT YOU DUMMY!!!! AHAHAHAHAHA you guys are evolved from pure outcasts of other countries congrads

  • @AmericanUnrest yea you totaly evolved, and therefore US today has like 80% of population who belives in overnatural beeings while Europe evolvated to a normal atheist society.

  • @viancon Surprising how, even when you tried to sound smart you wrote "Yeah", "Totally", "Believes", "Beings", and "Evolved".

  • @AmericanUnrest I like you, you're smart.

  • @AmericanUnrest We're not brits that evolved. We're melting pot of ethnicities. You can't just say we're evolved brits.

  • @AmericanUnrest What a horribly cocky thing to do. I come here to learn about your country and all you can do is offend ours? Seriously? I thought all of this childishness was miles behind us but evidently not.

  • @AmericanUnrest

Do Brits hate the US? Never heard of it...

  • Brits hate America ? What bucket of sand have you had your head in ? God bless America.

A Brit and proud to love America.

  • @AmericanUnrest Haha! Brilliant!

  • @texasoperastar yeah by stealing our song? uh-huh IRONY!

  • Let's keep OUR nation free from those who seek to dominate us.

  • My country' tis of thee sweet land of liberty.

  • I think it is so symbolic that we Americans have put this song about our freedom and liberty...to the tune of a song that is about pledging allegiance to the Royalty of the very Nation that we broke away from. Very well said, and a beautiful song and lyrics, from both sides of the pond.

  • Cette chanson a été chantée dans un épisode des Simpson :DD

  • dos any one else hear the whistling at the beging

  • Song always seems better when kids sign it..don't know why. One of my favorite songs (patriotic) next to Battle Hym of the Republic.

  • God save the Qu ... erm ... never mind.
