@Viktir666 I am just a medical student and I think this is the bovie cautery not laser, this is a new way to gain access through superficial tissue and in the same way gain immediate haemostasis from this relatively minor dissection trauma.
@Viktir666 Yepp you have it right on the money Vik and I am also a med student and enjoying every minute of it! Using lasers would add a dangerous range of heat waves that could damage other tissues unrelated to the surgery. They are used to cut through and seal any vascularized tissues. Haemostasis literally means "to stop the flow of blood," which is precisely what its function is for.
