Whats funny is that if someone kills a member of government...Lets say Dalton :), they are branded a terrorist by the government....to the people and tax payers, that person would be a hero....2 different views just like our view and the liberals view regarding the tax grab HST is completely different.

The HST will provide for greater technical efficiencies in administering the collection of taxes by businesses & in turn this should assist in making them more competitive. It will in effect of increase taxes on a number of goods & services negatively impacting consumers and in turn the mom & pop businesses. If the government were sincere about bringing in the HST for greater business benefits it would then mitigate taxes on items & services that will go up.

The report of this particular TV broadcast sounds unusually "optimistic" about the HST.

The HST will affect more than just gym members, massage therapy users, commuters, expensive-home buyers, and Christmas tree customers. No. The HST will create job losses for gym club employees, put construction workers out of work, and force Christmas tree ranches out of business. This newsgroup seems to be belittling the problem of the HST by reporting the lesser damages that could be caused by the HST.

Everyone could stop the liberal bashing long enough to realize that the libs and cons are in this together. They're practically waging a tax war on their citizens, using their combined resources and power, and we're all so incredibly stupid as to be derailed by partisan arguments over who's to blame. THEY ALL ARE!

And so are we for refusing to acknowledge that our politicians have abandoned our best interests. The HST is the result of conservative and liberal governments at all levels working together to pull the wool over our eyes! Why can't people see this?

These SOB's are trying to sink this country. Why don't those politicians take a pay cut, why is Bill C-6 being implemented. If we don't stop this, don't complain after. I've NEVER voted before it doesn't make a difference, but I just e-mailed every single politician in Canada with a deeply concerned letter about this HST cash grab! Go here for more information.
