i love the thought of guys like this in congress. But he could never win the US presidency, he doesnt have a strong enough presence, kinda like RP=( Maybe ventura in 2012, guess we'll see.
It's that sort of attitude that destroys the concept of liberty, where anyone in these United States has the ability to be voted by their fellow citizens as a representative and co-learder. This gentleman obviously possess intelligence, stamina, and direction, all things which underscore his perfect ability to rise above the clouded and stagnated political system and obtain the nation's highest office. As for his "presence", it is just as strong and powerful as Washington's own determination.
It's a concept that a majority of americans share. And it doesnt destroy liberty, it punctuates the reality that to be president of this country you have to have certain qualities(and $100 million dollars), like it or not. If Paul was 20 years younger, had a stronger voice, commanded attention, and had just slightly better debating skills; he wouldve won the primary.
Were talking about Lawson! He's twenty years younger, he's got a presence. The only reason why these unspoken rules of restriction exist is because people like yourselves laud them as a the word of law! If people were educated enough to care about policy and not all this other meaningless trivia, we wouldn't be having this discussion, and be in the place we are now. The only way to extricate the situation is to educate the population through mediums such as this.
The comment you responded to was about Lawson AND Paul.
Im not talking about law, im talking about reality. A game is being played. A game of R's and D's, and THEY are making the rules. People like Lawson and Paul are not aloud to play the game at the presidential level. But, they're ways around the rules; BIG money, and charisma(Ross Perot). If Lawson ran for president I would treat him the same as Paul; donate, campaign, rally, and vote for him. And he would lose.
Jessie is generally just out for himself, and his own interests. For example, he was a big proponent of concealed carry legislation before he became governor of Minnesota. After he became governor a sheriff gave him a concealed carry permit, and he dropped the issue...leaving the common folks in the dust.
A citizen of the USA can contribute to any congressional candidate as long as they identify their occupation and employer and the funds come from a personal account.
I have goosebumps and shivers to see such capable offspring of the ron paul revolution and this gives me hope that america might have a ray of light shining at the end of the tunnel
Thank God young people are waking up and feeling the power of there own freedom. Our forefathers fought and died to secure our rights to stand up for ourselves. Now we have to stand up and take our government back for the people.
