I hear you. Personally I'm not too annoyed by it. Everyone was on ecstasy in '90/'91 in the UK scene and they were looser and happier, ha. I think people like Fatboy Slim or The Chemical Brothers made that kind of musical style sound lame, but Weatherall was definitely amazing back then. It might sound outdated, but probably because people ripped that syle off all the time by the mid 90's.
@JonVind yea if you look more into weatherall, not exactly the picture of a bouncy shiny red ball... him making something upbeat and poppy out of a kevin shields thing is about 15 layers of special-ness if you think about it in the context of who they both are. try "9 o'clock drop" to get a taste of andy's tastes, itll surprise you.
