@mindyxxxxxx It really isn't my decision, I play flute and my brother plays trumpet. I like flute better and he likes trumpet better. Go to a music store and ask to sample there instruments and see which ones you like better. And I need to lick my lips with every wind instrument, to make the noise you need to blow out air, the air drys your lips and makes spit stick to it which gets in your instrument and makes it sound bad.

@Happyruby88 I know people hate hearing this, but all you have to do is practice. When I first started playing clarenet I was horrible (i mean I'm still horrible but it was worse) I didn't have strong enough lungs. You need to practice holding more air. It's summer so try to go swimming a lot, that helps. See how long you can stay under, I can stay under for a minute (I almost died but I did it) it really helps. and just see how long you can hold a note, I can hold my Bb for 32 seconds. Just try

@Happyruby88 When you watch TV you can just sit there and hold your breath or riding in the car. As soon as I go into my development I hold my breath until I get to my house, it is only like 45 seconds away but it still gives you a goal. Or during TV comercials, see how many comercials you can sit through. Just know it isn't going to happen over night.
