  • He cut his hair. Just check his twitter.

  • YO DUDE IT LOOK LIKE IT GROWN I LOOK AT UR VIDEOS EVERYDAY CAUSE IM TRYNNA GET MY AFRO TO GET DREADS DUDE GIVE ME TIPS

  • Hey you don't have to cut your hair. I'm pretty sure your hair is not that damaged. I would advise you to do a protein treatment. Like someone said earlier, get you some eggs, mayo or evon yochurt if you want and mix that up. If you have any, mix the ingredients with some conditioner. After you shampoo ur hair, put it on ur hair and leave it on with a plastic cap on for an hour, then wash it out REALLy well and use conditioner. Hope this helps!

  • Khalifa fro... Or 8 big braids

  • When u got your first trim, how long did it take for it to grow back to the original lenth? Cuz I jus got a trim and my braider said it wud grow back faster and healthier. Is dat true?

  • Damn, You make me wish I kept going at 7 months. I hate myself now.

  • @KingAfro88 im at 7 and ima keep goin!

  • Comment removed

  • you should use eggs and mayo to stop breakedge

  • DMacversion1, i have a taper fade on the side and the back of my fro. Could i get braids with a taper and how far would they go back? thanks

  • noo dont do please dont do it one of us goes in and we all go thru it...

  • my hair is what your is at 5 mounths right now how often should you shampoo and condition your hair i do mine once a week is that good enough or should i wash it more ?

  • Same thing everyone else is saying. Don't cut it.

  • When did u start getting split end trims? After 2 months?

  • @KiddStacxz123 Around after like a year since I wasn't really getting em at first

  • Yo don't cut it, youre inspirational

  • Eh mayne! Don't cut your hair, its because of you that I've been pushing through my journey. It's been 7 months and I've thought about cutting it, but I always come back to your channel and I say "If he can do it, so can I." Keep going for it man, we're all behind you on it! Deuces!

  • When you were around your 4 or 5th month did you put a do rag over it to insure that it grows even , because I've noticed that my sides and back don't nearly grow as much as my top . What do I do ?

  • @BasketballWorld1523 At that point I used to just sleep on my hair. As for the sides/back problem, that's normal. Everyone's hair has some sort of growth speed issue. You can easily get that fixed by going to the barber and getting it shaped up

  • bro!! dont cut your hair!! im starting my journey cuz you inspired me to grow mines out!! its looks good to me

  • how long you been growing your hair now?

  • @Skrubst3r 1 year 7 Months

  • dmacversion1 my fro on the sides they dont look like their not growing

  • I was thinking, is there a Walgreens near you because there is a new moisturizer I have tried to keep my hair from drying out, it's called BioInfusion Olive Oil Hair lotion, it's very light, much lighter than Organic Root Stimulator and it gives it an amazing shine try using some extra virgin coconut oil to seal in the moisture and see what happens, I am sure it will work.

  • lol bro just keep it braided

  • @Optomisticperson I cant always get it done as often as I want tho

  • ...sometimes there's a product exchange and give away at hair meetups. Good luck on your journey. Your for rocks!

  • @suthernbella hey thanks alot for the info!

  • Hi guy! Just saw ur vids. U can consider entering contests here on YT and check out giveaways on blogs too. It's a great way to get FREE products and also hair meetups where

  • Honestly if yu really think yu need to cut, just cut it and start a new hair journey......its hair, as long as yur alive, it still grows but nice fro tho,btw yur hair grows very fast

  • Get an apghogee protein treatmeant done by a professional if its ur first time and start Using parnuvu leave in conditioner I promise u will see results in the fist month ;)

  • yo get some shea butter u can get it at walmart it hydrates your hair repairs it and improves hair growth i use it and in just the first week of use i saw a improvement of length hydration and heath of my hair check it out

  • @Yohomi7890 Lol I was already using Shea Butter, i found some other stuff that imma use whenever I run outta my current stuff. i'll probably show that in my next vid

  • damnnn big ass afro

  • Make your hair soft naturally r permanently because my is really hard like rocks.Srry for asking so many questions.I know you probably explain all that in your videos but my mom don't like me using the computer since i don't do good in school. So if you can answer these questions i would appreciate it.

  • I don't get to stand on the computer for so long so if you could please answer these questions.

    1) What kind of shampoo should i use.It need to be something strong, not head & shoulder.

2)How can i keep my hair healthy, what products, and also if there is any way to make it grow faster because it's been 7 month and its has high as yours when it was only 3 months.

3)Also when i wake up from sleeping my hair is flat because i usually sleep on it.

4)And how can you make you hair really soft naturally.

  • when you pick out your after you get out the shower. should you pick it out when wet or when it gets dry.

  • But I do hear you on where your coming from the whole money and products and styling and breakage... IF you do decide to cut it all PLEASE do another jouney man lol

  • Your hair journey is such an inspiration doc!! I really love you hair man pleeease don't cut it! o_o

  • Please do not cut! Do not make a hasty decision. Yes it can be hard we all have our own struggles but that what makes the journey worth fighting for.

  • First assess the reason and the thrive behind starting this journey in the first place.

Then what goals were you setting for yourself what did you want to gain from this journey? I know this journey is difficult and it is for a lot of us. Just know anything worth doing will be difficult. And when you reach that goal, it will be that much more rewarding b/c you stuck with that goal!

  • So think long and hard before doing anything b/c once you make a decision you cant go back.

(singing) Btw that Afro looks gorgeous on you! No lie. Suits you so well.

  • I know this comment is long and you have had many of best wishes and advice

Please Check Out Lisa Akbari on YouTube and Lisa Akbari.com she a hair doctor.

  • You lost a lot of hair.

  • @KingAfro88 it may appear that way because of the previous trim & shrinkage. I actually haven't lost a lot.

  • @DMacversion1 I cut off all my hair and all I have to say is don't do it. It took you over a year to get to this point. It took me 7 months to get what I got in my background and I cut it all off. I will never do that again.

  • @DMacversion1 Just stick with it.

  • @DMacversion1 If I lived by you. I would for sure give you some hair products. Plus I got those tool structure double dip detangling combs that you mentioned in one of your earlier videos. 4 of them. I also got a ton of mane and tail hair products on top of my old products.

  • your hair is blown out in this video ?

  • @Devyon69 nahh quite the opposite lol

  • manwhy is it that men hair grow faster than women lol it took me almost 3 years to grow my hair with braids lol but you looking good..

  • @101QueenStar i was wondering why your username seemed familiar til I realized that i JUST saw your vid lol

  • @DMacversion1 the back of my hair towards the bottom is a lil shorter than the rest of my hair. is there anything I can use to get it up to speed? I also dont know what shampoos and conditioners to use. ive been growing my hair for 4 months and its not that thick and I dont want to cut my hair for the 5th time.

  • @redwakeen18 well im currently researching this hair growth technique called "The Greenhouse Effect", feel free to check it out. I'll send you a link in your inbox

& unfortunately I can't tell you exactly what shampoo or conditioner to use since everyone's hair & scalp reacts differently, but I can tell you that starting out, Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Creamy Aloe Shampoo & Conditioner helped my hair alot.

  • man u str8 bruh. You should see my fro.

Its twice your size and it's Fucked UP! But i still love em though :)

  • u should like get two-strand twist and if your feeling discouraged watch all your vids and you will be surprised

  • ok i got to ask a couple questions, 1 when you get you hair braided what you use before they braid it?i heard you use product in this video, 2 when i take down my braids i lose alot of hair when i wash it is that normal?losing strings of hair while washing?

  • @blazenmessiah i'll usually apply shea butter as a moisturizer. And the lost hair is more than likely the hair that you would normally lose in a daily shedding (on average, you lose from 50 to 100 strands daily). However, if it is an excessive amount, then you might want to get that checked out

  • @DMacversion1 oh ok well its not excessive that much thank god lol,but ok ill try that shea butter, one more question when you get your hair braided how you keep it moist?i use oil sheen is that ok?

  • hey just watched your video look.. I been there it gets rough but all you need to do is get some leave in conditioner with glycerin as a top ingredient and not mineral oil this will keep your hair moist also i recommend using some oils such as castor oil this help eliminate thinning in your hair and also help to stimulate growth another thing you could do is use for your ponytails is all in this order water, conditioner preferably a leave in and then follow with a gel this will help with slick

  • bruh dont cut it stay strong pull through get urself some twist because i notice braids can lead to breakage... i just trimmed my hair also (for the 3rd time in 3 years and 3 months)so i dont think its that necassary just if u find any spilt ends clip em off cuz u might be cutting off perfectly fine strands with a full trim

  • I feel yhu bruh I considered cutting my hair last month and I had a braider to do that old school combing all forceful nd everything made me wanna stop getting braids

  • you should try dreads or yarn braids/genie locs..for protective

  • Man Ive been goin for like 5 months now with al kinds of breakage. I was thinking about doin a Big Chop but i saw ur vids...Looks like imma just braid it up and stick through it!

  • i suggest dont cut it if you wanna grow it back i grew mine for nearly two years then cut it and am now trying to grow it back but it seems like its taking so much longer

  • what hair conditioner should i use.the africas best super gro makes my hair uneven and makes it clumped together.and why do you need conditioner

  • FINALLY

  • I know exactly what you're going through. My mom caused my hair to break off a whole 2inches back in mid September by braiding it without using any product, she also terrible for forcing the comb through my hair too. I just keep my hair out in an afro and keep it moisurized and comb my hair myself. Your hair still got a wonderful length for the short time you been growing it. You can try more organic/ less costly methods on your hair such as the ACV clense and egg deep condition protein treatment

  • Trimming hair to make it grow longer is a conspiracy and doesn't really work.

Hair grows at a constant level and as your hair gets longer you will naturally see more breakage when you comb through the hair.

My advice to you is to get some twists for like 2 months and wear them as a protective style and then take them out. After that your hair will be much longer and healthier.

  • please don't cut your hair i regretted it im a week from 4 mouths right now

  • Don't cut your hair and stop going to those crazy bitches. #1 make your own moisturizing glycerine mix, #2 on the days you wash and detangle your hair, brush it backand put it in 1 or 2 twists. You can slick down your sides with murry's bees wax cream and a damp brush, #3, don't be combing your hair out every day. Either put it in 1 or 2 twists or 1 or 2 braids and call it a day, or week. Put on your du rag at night, moisturize your ends daily. Only wear your hair out once in a while.

  • look either get sum dreads or try a different strategy...money is important becus if u had the paper to hit the shop u culd get a real hairstyle that will last...plus you culd tell yo braider wut to do...yo girls mom is overhyped on her skills..tbh shes not tht good from wut yu tellin me...

  • Hey im a kid and I wanna grow my hair like you how often do you trim your hair for split ends? And do you go ti the barber shop or trim them at home?

  • Great vid!

  • Mane U can always join the DreaD CoMMunity (LoL)

  • I'm sorry about what happened bro" but stay in the game and forget those haters" just like i told you on facebook

  • and we all know hair takes up so much time...i just got a job and im gonna be working full time. i dont wanna deal with hair. plus with breakage i truly didnt want it done and i needed to fine someone who would be gentle on my hair at a reasonable cost. that was my pproblem

  • Same bro I cut my Afro off thee weeks ago best thing I ever did.

  • your hair is waaay longer than mine i dont think you should cut it..but if you feel its needed..do what you got to do. at the end of the day its your hair and u gotta deal with it.

  • i know i dont have any vids up but i cut my hair last week thursday.i was growing it for 8 months and change. i really understand you! i had some mistakes done to mine. a couple ppl did it and they were really rough, but the last was someone flat ironing it and she put no heat protectant, i just had some cantu shea butter already on it. then the middle was breaking off BADLY. i felt it was best to cut it and regrow my hair to avoid the mistakes done smh. just trim it and see if that helps.

  • Mane ya needa trim dem ends wash ya hair real good ta where yu get da black color n ya hair bak den two strand twist n wait at least one r two months then take em out

  • Nice update bro! I think what you should get is either box braides or two strand twists. You can keep those in, wash them, and they would be in protective style until you can get what you need bro. Hope this helps

  • Haven't heard from you in a while, and I also haven't shot a video in a minute. It is time for an update though. Anyways I'm having the EXACT same problem as you with the whole breakage thing plus I've been getting my done straight back to often so for the breakage I'm repairing it using "black castor oil" and I'm going back to the box braids which you can wear for a while while it grows. But yeah me and u are at the exact same make or break point. Just tend to it more and it'll be fine

  • Dont give up man! No turning back now ha.

  • I love your eyebrows. Sorry if that is an odd compliment. I'm n2 eyebrows. Oh, don't cut your hair. Unless, that's what you really want to do. Are you keeping your hair tied with a doorag or covered a stretch stockin' cap b4 you go to bed at night? You're gonna need a good deep conditioning treatment and get under the hair dryer (that been heated up to 65 degrees) for 15 min. Or, try putting on your fav conditioner put a plastic cap and put a hot towel of it. Your hair isn't that bad.

  • U can get hair food at beauty supply

  • Dnt do that, I hit that point, what u should do is get sum hair food, its cheap it mostirizes ur shalp. Dnt give up Dmac. Its jus a bad time u will get bak on track

  • nah bruh...dont start over...get your hair deep conditioned real good...and start getting twists for a while...then in a few months get another trim if you still feel like you need it...and keep getting some more twists...twists are cool cause you dont need to use heat, they can stay in for a while, you can wash and condition them, and they are easier to take out then box braids

  • I know what u mean.. I cut my hair lol i couldnt deal with it right now plus I grew it from a fade and needed to start over

  • Twist-out?

  • u should do twisties to hold for awhile, and to upload it

  • wats going on BRO! my hair is a little underneath the length of urs actually and i been thinking about what to get this week too, but idk how ima wear my hair through out this week until fri : / i was thinkin bout tie'ing it but i have never tried it but you said DONT cuz you get thining right? got any ideas? and does ur girls mom charge? lol my home girls sis is gonna do it for me for 25

  • @GinbuMKDS Don't listen to this dumbass little kid im unsucrbining right now... You don't need so many products and that's his mistake.. I barely use anything and my hair is good just use a good shampoo and conditioner don't be a product freak like him.. And you can tie your hair back into a pony tail allll you want you won't get thinning.. Just don't pull back wayy to tight like this stupid ass nigga and you good bra.. Thinning is herditary he's just an idiot using 1 too may products

  • @IsHiNe98 Im actually not using a lot of products. I only use about 3 at the most and that's shampoo, conditioner & oil for my scalp. Products that I've named has been over a years time. And i've already told ppl to not make the same mistake I did by pulling it back too tight WHICH CAUSED MY THINNING.

Unsubscribe to me. Shiiiiiit, what's one person out of a thousand?

  • @GinbuMKDS You can tie it back. I just say don't do constantly pull it back too tight because that can cause thinning around your edges. And luckily nahh she don't charge (right up my price range lol)

  • aye bro u came a long way dont grow ur hair out just to get it cut...get don to it what it needs to get done to. hang in there bro i have faith in u

  • press it, it'll make it easier to comb, but dont do it too much its bad for your hair and people follow me on my hair journey too please

  • maybe you should learn how to braid your own hair so you dont have to rely on others. thats what i did.

  • yea im havin breakage problems too..but hey it's natural ...your hair still looks good

  • WHODAT?? sorry bout yor breakage bruh!! Buh its good to see a new vid mayne dont cut your hair dude tuff it out.. my locks be doing great im loving it no breakage n shit the only prob is the front of my head that part i have a dif hair type its is be bitching mayne buh imma tuff it out!! Btw whuts up with T.A.G? dude aint post a vid or nothing

  • @crunkidy2 actually he just came out with a vid like last week, go check out his channel

  • @DMacversion1 Your stressed man. keep it positive. replace those negative thoughts with something positive. And remember its a journey so things are not gonna go gradually up, but up and down. Take it easy and don't worry to much man. I really hope you don't cut your hair, you got a lot learn still cause its a journey. And check out Shea Moisture products. Im using it right now and I get no breakage literally.i agree with the idea of putting your hair in a style to protect it until you get money

  • lol all "viciously, but pls dont do it that afro is too! banging to be cut dont do it.

  • @DMacversion1 Dnt cut yo hair man. Every1 goes thru breakage. I go thru it uh lot. My hair iz not rele tht thick n e mo so I just gotta deal with it & do mo treatments.

  • Just stick through it and make sure when you wash your deep conditioning to help with the breakage and make sure your washing once a week unless your in a protective style such as your braids and when you get ready to get your hair done I recommend applying your product prior to getting it done

  • Btw, stick through it. I love your spirit maybe you can try learning how to braid on your own even though it's hard. Also, will you ever loc it? You'd look nice either way

  • make sure to use castor oil on your edges. It's famous for breakage

  • i had the same problem, and to solve it use doo groo, and check my braid vids

  • yo fam what's up i see u finally made a new video for ur fans but yeah anyway id u do cut yo hair then get a mini afro again and just start fresh from there,oh and by the way i just hit my 1 year mark 2weeks ago ima be posting up another of that be one the look out for it IGHTT PEACE FAM

  • @MrDjtheman123 aye congratulations on hitting that one year mark fam. But yea, that's probably what imma do if I do cut it. Since I dont wanna completely give up on the journey ykno?

  • Good job..thumbs up for that great camera. If you cut your hair I'm still gonna support you, but that fro suits your face, plus you put a lot of effort into it. Do what your heart tells you. At the end of the day you have to live with it :-). But you are so right about people handling your hair roughly. I HATE that lol, I do my own hair because I'm picky and will tell them how to treat my strands.

  • @KinkyBeautiful thanks for the support :) Yea I think for the most part, IF I actually do decide to cut it, it'll probably be about a couple inches since the hairstyle sorta grew on me (no pun intended) lol. I'm definitely gonna have to come to you for some help during this lil bump in my journey though

  • u should get dreds

  • Bro , don't cut your hair. Huey Freeman all dha way !

  • @BasketballWorld1523 I'm the stone that the builder refused...

  • that camera has awesome quality man! im feeling it! But, dont cut your hair and start over. i saw where ppl were posting saying to get 2 strand twist. I think that will be a great protective style besides braids bc the twist will last or u can get your hair in mini braids(indiviuals) and those should last you for awhile foreal. all you have to do is keep them tied up and moisturize your scalp daily and you good to go! :)

  • @xRockstarxCee he told me he doesnt do individuals alot because his hair is uneven

  • @xRockstarxCee thanks :) im really feeling this camera myself! I think i might do that after I get this trim so it'll look uniform yknow? But yea, it's gonna be hard to get a moisturizer seeing that my pockets are empty & I literally JUST ran out of moisturizer today :/ What to do, what to do...

  • i know the feeling bruh but we came to far gotta keep pushing dont cut it because later your gonna be like damn all that hard work stay growing

  • You could go for the curly style if you want just wet it and shake out the water and let it dry naturally.

  • @HDTyrone that's typically what I do tho. Imma figure this out one way or another

  • Dont do cut it just yet!!! Keep it up just do a couple things different! You can do it!!!!! I believe in you!!!! :D

  • @TheBeautifulChange thanks for the support, its stuff like this that actually keeps me going in this journey. I appreciate it :)

  • or just get regular braids (not cornrows.. just individuals)

  • (DONT CUT YOU HAIR!!!) <<<<<< just think about it frm month 1 to now all that work you put in for you hair to grow all those products and money goin to waste.

  • or u should curl it like u did b4

  • if u cut ur hair, at least have a mini fro

  • nstead of gettin dreads u shuld get 2 strnd twist........cos wiv dem u can take em out rather thn it bein perment'

  • It sounds like all you really need to do is to start doing the occasional deep-condition and start co-washing.

It cuts down on breakage and keeps the hair moisturized for longer and stop playing with your hair.

  • 1080p WOOT WOOT!

Who braids your hair? My aunt does mines, like a civilized human being SHOULD, and for $10. Been alternating between box braids and the 7 braids (Like Polow Da Don)

  • @DreadfulControversy yeaaaa, I just wish I had better lighting tho. Oh well

But my girl's mom typically braids my hair, I think I might get my other friend to do it tho since she can do styles. I might have to get either the Polow Da Don or the Half Cornrows Half Box Braids, decisions, decisions...

  • @DMacversion1 Get that half and half.....Then rock the 7's when your hair gets back straight. Hopefully mines doesn't fall out from this transition...LUL

  • *No you've come too far to give up. At night before bed, if you have time and/or patience, section your hair and braid while using any kind of oil. Then spray with some water, and wrap it up!!! Then you're good to go. Reduces damage and keep your hair moist. Do this a few times a week. TRUST & BELIEVE, it does WONDERS!!!*

  • @ShawnMarcusStudios hmmm Imma have to look into that. This brotha doesn't know how to braid tho...

  • @DMacversion1 *ah. Yea the two strand twist is pretty easy instead of the actual braid. So many vids on YouTube that'll show you how to do it. I couldn't braid for nothin but I taught myself a few techniques before I actually looked on YouTube. Good luck though!!*

  • Do not cut your hair! You will get through this rough stage...you would really regret it if you cut it now!

  • Man, fuck dreads. You can try twist and take them out after the 2week or 3week mark. If you're like me, I rather keep my hair as free as possible. I get want you mean when you have those hair dressers being rough with your hair. I usually bring my own product and they massage it into my hair. I'm hitting the year mark in about a month with my hair journey but my mom wants me to cut it.

  • @Akuma2unlimited My year is next month too

  • ever seen ray ray from mindless behavior, just get the same hair styles or get your hair twisted but wash it out before it lock up

  • You could have your girl braid it in a king Solomon...7 braids strait back.

  • cut it n just start fresh from month 1

  • Did you know you can wash your hair with plain conditioner...its called a cowash. Baking soda and vinegar works, aloe vera and oil is great. It doesn't have to cost a lot. Vo5 is a dollar. Baking soda is .50 cents. Aloe is free if you have a plant.

  • Don't cut it. That would be not-good. Hang in there.

  • You Should Get Dreads

  • Oh

  • DUDE DONT CUT IM A BIG FAN OF YOUR VIDEOS AND IVE DONE EVERYTHING THROUGHOUT ALL YOUR VIDEOS

  • u could try dreads
