I think I'm going to order these! I need a travel kit and I think this should be it! Thanks for the great review. It was extremely helpful! As always, LOVE your videos!
I ordered the travel kit after seeing this & Sigma accidentally sent me the full Mr. Bunny set but only charged me for the travel set.Of course I contacted them about their mistake as I wouldn't feel right about keeping something I didn't pay for, however these brushes look and feel amazing. (haven't used them yet b/c i'm waiting to see if they want me to return them)
I wonder if it was a limited set, cause they only have the 12 brush bunny collection set, too bad, I really thought it would be a great travel set :-(
Sold! It's been awhile since I've gotten a new set of brushes (2003?) so this review helps a lot cuz I was looking at the sigma website and there were so many choices! Thanks Emily!
Hi Emily I need your HELP! (If is other Girl the can help me eater is COOL) I was going to buy the Mr Bunny Collection Travel Set but is no more in the page (I guess sold out) they just have the 12 set .... So I was wondering what is the difference between the "Mr. Bunny (Synthetic bristles) and Make Me Up (Natural bristles)"... Sorry if I sound stupid, but I just want to know if is a difference to buy it or not :( Thanks I hope you can help me (Emily) or any of you GIRLS! :)
The moment you put your flat synthetic kabuki inside the holder (and I was eyeing this brush as well as some decent brush kit - and kabuki fitted just like it was from the same kit), I decided to get exactly this brush kit. Thank you for this valuable review!
@xeverydayisbeautiful It is better to use synthetic brushes for hygienic purposes, as well as not to promote animal cruelty. However, I have used both and certain brushes work better with different textures of products. Synthetic brushes work better for creams, liquids, and gels. Natural hair brushes work better for powders and such. But please remain animal friendly and purchase cruelty-free and vegan products for the safety and respect of other living creatures. :)
@xeverydayisbeautiful The synthetic are SOOOOO much softer and they blend better in my opinion...plus, vegan or not, we all want to be kind to our furry friends, right? haha :)
@NorsProductions Have you heard of the Mocmex virus that was in digital frames from China? Or the little girl that was run over by a vehicle several times, and it took several people to pass by before someone took notice? How about the Anti-Secession Law that states the China will use non-peaceful means if Taiwan were to seek independence? I do not doubt that China has quality items & conditions, but I will not support any company until China changes. The way I see it, apathy is consent.
on the sigma website, it doesn't say that the travel sized brushes are any smaller than the essential kit ones. aren't they standard size but minus the other 5 brushes?
I think I will get the Mrs. Bunny one, that has 7 brushes then add a flattop. lol I'm surprised that they're not that expensive. Very affordable for me! But I spent all my money on Christmas Shopping...I'll just buy some in January I guess.
@eyes5976 The travel size are full sized brushes. The only difference is that the regular comes with 12 brushes and the travel comes with 7. Both are full sized though.
Omg, I've been hearing soooooooooooooo much about Sigma brushes this past week. I don't own makeup brushes but i was reaaaaaaally wanted to try BubzBeauty's Bubbi Brushes XP Have you ever considered buying at least one and reviewing them XD. I'd really help with my decision! Thanks :P
Emily was just reading your blog post from Monday and saw n ur daily nugget u mentioned ur tzone wasn't the bit oily and was trying to remember what u were wearing that day.....wonder if u remembered know its a long shot but just in case u did remember that'd be interesting to know which products!?:))))
Can you please compare the sizes of sigma full size brushes with these.. Same kind side by side and also with previous travel kit brushes? Thanks!!!!!!
I was wondering if they last as long as the normal because I'm 14 but into makeup ALOT and thinking about buying a set for my birthday and how long do you think they would last ? Btw I love your videos ! :') x
How is the Bunny set different from some of Sigma's other sets, such as The Cities, Make Me Blush, Make Me Cool, etc.? They look nearly identical on Sigma's website, except for the color scheme. I'm thinking about ordering one of these sets, and I'm not sure which one to choose. Please advise. Thank you!
@MissMani96 Elf and Sonia Kashuk make some really nice brushes, and they are reasonably priced. There are probably some value sets available for the holidays, too.
LOVE your look in this video! You look so classy! And thanks for a great review on these brushes. I really appreciate all of the details you gave about each one and how you use them.
I bought Sigma professional brush kit. And i have to say they are ok brushes. Some of them are extremely prickly! To the point where my under eye gets red, irritated, almost inflamed and the eye watery! And the one reason why american youtubers rave about them is one and only. And we all know it. If they would buy it themselves, there would be slightly different angled reviews. AND! This affilation thing takes away 20% of honesty. Everyone understands it.
@romanova311 You cant speak for every beauty guru when you say they are not being honest. Thats just unfair. I think Mac brushes are over hyped. I have a few of them and let me tell you Im not in love. And I get a discount on Mac. But that doesnt mean Im going to gype them up just because. So dont assume Emily is just speaking highly of them just because she is affiliated with Sigma. Everyone has their own opintion on everything. So just because you think their just ok doesnt mean everyone does.
@GlitterfulSummer If someone's eyes are getting irritated, their eyes are getting irritated. Not everyone is going to love the same products, and she's obviously had a bad experience with them. 'Good' is a very subjective concept.
@Sabastien24 I bought Sigma brushes like 8 months ago, and from the moment i washed them, the "hair" was falling out. And they keep falling out. And the dye from the stippling brush is going out when I wash them... But I can't say they are bad, cause they apply colour very well. And it's her opinion so you gotta respect it. And I think you're right!
@romanova311 I'll disagree with you a bit. I think part of it depends on when you purchased these brushes---I bought my Sigma brushes back in 2009, back when they were still a smaller company---and part of it depends on which specific brush you're dealing with. I think the natural hair brushes are more likely to cause irritation; at least, that's what I've had to deal with. I never get itchy from synthetic brushes, no matter how rough they are.
I got the old Sigma Travel Kit (the Naughty in Black) on Black Friday and I received it yesterday already! And I´m sooo happy I did!!! It is really GREAT!!! The quality of the brushes and the case is amazing!!! These are my favorite brushes now!!! It´s a shame they don´t sell it anymore!! Thank God I got mine first!!! heheh
I always want to use Sigma brushes after watching reviews on them but the one I did own shed ~20 hairs every time I used it and it was extremely scratchy on my skin. Disappointing. I won't be trying any others.
@Kazenrei Same here, ordered two sets from the States and it wasn't cheap by any means and it's still shedding after several washes, on top of that the travel set's case stank of cheap plastic for ages! I think they are over hyped, because all the beauty gurus are trying to make money out of it!
Thank you so much for the review I will be buying this very soon, I was thinking about buying them but know that you have put this up i will be getting them.
thanks for the review emily! these would be perfect in my regular kit, but i would never consider these for travelling coz they take way too much space! if travel kits were as big as these then i might as well just use my regular everyday brushes.
I'll admit I'm not really one for trying high end products, but I've been thinking for sometime now I need to save up and get some good brushes. I think you've inspired me to get these! Thank you soo much for your review!
Are these brushes really good with powders? I have some other sigmax brushes and they work perfectly with creams, but I hate using them for powders. They just don't pick up and give color the way natural bristles do. I have lots of brushes and the ones which are synthetic never work good with powders (urban decay, sigmax, coastal scents synthetic brushes etc). I like these sets, but I'm not sure how they will work (in comparison with brushes with natural bristles). Honest opinion please ;)
i have one sigma container and i think it isn't big enought to hold my brushes comfortably. i put one full set of brushes in it but have to be very careful with putting the lid on. i'd recommend getting brush guards to keep your big brushes compact! otherwise the bristles may very well get splayed easily
it's soo funny that you did this review- i was watching the Maybelline video thinking, 'i want those brushes..' and now you have a review on them! that's why I watch your videos, you're the best & you know what your viewers want.
your reviews are THE BEST. so thorough, to the point and informative. I've been on the edge with Sigma brushes but I think it's finally time to take the plunge and get some high quality Sigma brushes.
Emily! I have a question for u about Sigmax brushes- I've got a F80 & Miss Taylor retractable flat top, & they are & aren't super soft (some bristles stick out, and are brown tipped, not white), & thus they're kinda scratchy. I'm curious if u've experienced this w/any of your sigmax brushes, or if urs are great, w/the bristles all aligned, white topped (looks like in your vids) & I just got super unlucky w/mine? :( This is making me hesitant about ordering bunny brushes- but they're SO cute!
I am totally thinking about buying these thanks to your amazing review!! I have a question though, is there really a huge size difference between the travel brushes and the regular brushes? Like are the lengths of the brushes shorter for travel? or are they smaller brushes in terms of how many fibers per brush? You did an amazing review but I am debating to splurge on the full set or get the travel and these are the questions I have blocking my credit card. ;) Thank you very much!
@Chelsfofo u should get the full set because none of the full size sigma brushes will fit in the travel sized case (if you wanted to travel with a mixture of travel and full sized brushes).
Great review! I'm actually thinking of purchasing this for my little sister has a Christmas gift...what do you think about this set being a beginner's set?
Hi Everyone! Sorry for the annoying ads but I was just wondering if anyone could have a quick look at my channel? I am fairly new but have some good videos up!
@ EMILYNOEL83 Do you think you can please do a vid telling us which sigma brush set you like best in some sort of order. I have been watching sigma for so long and I just don't know where to start, I love them all and I am on da road to freelance at the moment I have brought a few Mac brushes(130,129,266,) and I have a air brush precision set from sephora. Can you give me an better idea of where to start with sigma Thank you!!

i have one sigma container and i think it isn't big enought to hold my brushes comfortably. i put one full set of brushes in it but have to be very careful with putting the lid on. i'd recommend getting brush guards to keep your big brushes compact! otherwise the bristles may very well get splayed easily
beadznpis 3 months ago
@brittneybauer i'm quite sure it's not leather. i have one container like that. i think it's PVC. =)

What is the container made out of? It kind of looks like leather and that is NOT vegan friendly.

your reviews are THE BEST. so thorough, to the point and informative. I've been on the edge with Sigma brushes but I think it's finally time to take the plunge and get some high quality Sigma brushes.

I should add I take meticulous care of my brushes, washed bristle side down, reshaped, hung bristle side down to dry and stored flat in a case.

Hola Emily,
I am totally thinking about buying these thanks to your amazing review!!
Chelsfofo 3 months ago 42
@Chelsfofo the brush heads are full size, only the handles are shorter.
danalajeunesse 3 months ago
@Chelsfofo u should get the full set because none of the full size sigma brushes will fit in the travel sized case (if you wanted to travel with a mixture of travel and full sized brushes).
nzgirl 3 months ago
@nzgirl thank you so much! that is a good idea, i think i will splurge on the full set... :D
