Gotta love Jack clinging to the TARDIS exterior. One of my favourite Doctor Who scenes from any episode, even the old ones. Still cant beat the Daleks showing themselves in Stolen Earth.
Captain Jack is from the 51st century. Torchwood - the organisation that he works for - is an anagram of Doctor Who - just as Mister Saxon is an anagram of Master No. (Number) Six!
It don't make sense, in the final episode of torchwood we hear the Tardis, then Jack dissapears with Gwen saying 'somethings taken him'. Yet in this clip the tardis is outside & Cpt. Jack runs after the Tardis with a back-pack on, so whats that all about?
Wow! I never seen the doctor hit the switch to move out of there so fast in my life! This is proof the Doctor has confrontation issues lol. Poor Jack. Good thing he is immortal. Great clip!
maybe if jack is back it will remind him of rose? just an idea i hav no other ideas as to why he would try to leave him behind. did he still know jack was alive? wouldn't the doctor be a little more annoyed if the rift had been active...meaning stuff that isn't supposed to be happening could be happening...ie he was annoyed when torchwood kept messing with the "ghosts" and look what happened there.
ooo look to be an exciting episode! i can't wait!:D
Why the HELL did the Doctor ignore Jack on the screen?? Perhaps because he was just talkin about the last time he went to Cardiff he must of thought he was seeing things. Cos last time he went to Cardiff he was with Jack. Unlikely though. lol maybe he saw jack and thought 'ahh if he comes hell jus have it off with my martha!' lol
Where's Martha standing when the Doctor says 'all powered up' at 0:45 and the moment after that when Jack was seen on the screen? Cause the moment the Doctor pulls the lever (~0:48) you can see Martha standing right next to him and in the next shot she seems to be standing farther away from him again. So some shots suggest Martha could've seen Jack on the screen...
It's a lil bit as if these are two different scenes mixed to be one.
Ok, I can't wait to see how this ties in... did anyone see the season finale of Torchwood? The TARDIS showed up after Jack came back to life and took off with him.... so why is Jack running after it outside and jumps on it? And .. NO. sorry, that last scene is taking things a bit to far for the Doctor Who universe don't ya think? Well, can't wait to see how all this is explained.
I was thinking the same thing, then I realised that in the Christmas Special, "The Runaway Bride", Catherine Tate's character opens the door from the inside, while flying through space, and the Doctor says "The TADIS is protecting us"...so maybe it does the same from the outside as well, couldn't be a very comfortable ride though.
Hahaha "I was a different man back then" always makes me laugh cuz he means it literally :P

Why does it only take 20 seconds to fuel up the Tardis when in series one it took 12 hours? *is confused*
Thanks for posting! :-)

Just a guess.. could it be due to the recent activity that was going on with the rift in Torchwood?
Missdameanor 4 years ago
That would make sense...

well he looks different... has a diffedrent partner... and is a different person...
so yeah... he doesnt want that crap.
Also the doc doesnt know Jack is actually from the past and that Jack can't die... if he did he would probably take comfort from that...
And Jack just wants reassurance that he isnt a total freak..
but hte idea of him getting a backpack and running outside is funny... he probably too the SEP field thing outside... thus why noone saw him leave

He's from the future, actually =P

Is it my imagination or was Martha looking at that tv screen with Jack running rather than the Doctor?
At one point it seemed like he did notice but there was no "It can't be.." clip so I wonder if he didn't actually notice Jack on that screen?

Yeah, but she was still INSIDE. I wonder if his inability to die is helping out...
raevyn17 4 years ago
A normal man would have died, but Jack cant!
Thats why!
Sindre1 4 years ago
Jack can die its just he always comes back tol ife again.
Also on the runaway bride the doctor tells donna about how the tardis is protected so a normal person would have survived but with limited air.
