iMetal - iPhone metal detector app!

Neat app but I laughed out loud when I read "Another reason to buy the new iPhone. Firstly any phone with a magnetometer can run an app like this, I have a metal detector app on my Droid X. Secondly, I wouldn't consider it a reason to buy any phone, it's a gimmicky toy, it doesn't have any practical use, you have to be practically touching the metal with your phone to get a reading.

Remember, it's only for the iPhone 3GS becouse it uses the build in compass, not the cam.

The iphone 3gs's compass is based on magnetic fields which a metal detector is based on ;/
