  • Can't tow the boat with the Benz. Unless its a small boat.

  • cant compare German to American garbage

  • I wonder how they would do off road and in the snow.

My guess the Mercedes would not even be close.

If you want a car that handles well on turns then get a sedan. or a sports car,

  • these diesel hybrids should be good when they come

  • "There's no way we're going to solve this here in the parking lot, the only way me and hippie chick here are going to find out is if we drive 300,000 miles until one of our cars conks out."

  • Hey are you guys hiring?

  • Damn those are some fancy truck drivers if they go for mercs...

  • The Mercedes is a SUV the Chevrolet is a UV. "Utility Vehicle" there is nothing sport about it.

  • if thats a gas powered vehicle then its not hybrid. if they made good modern diesel engines chevrolet could literally blow away every other competitor, probably internationally in terms of fuel economy.

  • a tumble dryer over a diesel??? .... uv'e got to be nuts 0_o

  • hybrids are not one with the earth, do you know how those batteries come into existence?

honestly go bio diesel or your only kidding yourself if your car is badged with the word eco friendly anywhere on it.

  • Don't listen to that bullshit, Doge Ram and F250 are pickup trucks, they have beds in the back are not SUV.A pickup truck is more like a van, in weight and size not like a SUV.American 'full size SUV' is two tonne and a half like any other SUV, japanese, european, whatever.I checked out and this car altough look impressive weights less than a touareg.

  • I'm American, I love my country etc. That being said, Of the approximately 25 cars & motorcycles I've owned, they have all been German & Japanese. I love cars, I love innovation. This comparison is a joke. Mercedes all the way!

  • MB Diesel FTW! BTW in Europe, a Mercedes-Benz GL 320 CDI can easily be tuned from 211/224 bhp to 275 bhp and from 376 lb-ft to 440 lb-ft for just 1300$. It improves really the performances and in some cases the car has better fuel efficiency because at cruise speed you are at lower RPM.

  • @TheVascer good saying. A simple stage 1 remap transforms your engine. Leave it to us Europeans to make the cars! ; )

  • hybrids have have been proven many many times to be worse for the environment than a regular car!! car companies make hybrids only to make money, the use the "air pollution problems" for there advantage..duhh there a company they dont care about us they just want money!

  • Great video.Pretty good comparison.

  • 6.0 V8 with a Hybrid who in the Hell thought that was a good idea!! They should have given the Tahoe the baby V8 which is the 4.3 or 5.3 can't remember. I think Ford is moving in the right direction with turbocharging if I was the head of design for tahoe hybrid I would have used the 3.6 direct injection V6 and turbocharge it that would make more sense than a 6.0 V8 and give the tahoe a 6-speed transmission.

  • i like the idea of a hybrid tahoe but in the real world it doesnt work....diesel is the way to go honestly. easier to work on than a hybrid, easier to maintan than a hybrid, will last a hell of alot longer than a hybrid, and hell gm should make a diesel hyrbid tahoe.

  • Its not diesel or Hybrid... Its diesel AND hybrid together = 100+ mpg or 2 liters per 100 km like the New Volvo releasing in 2012

  • lol at tahoe slalom

  • why would u even buy a tahoe if they cost about the same?

  • Tahoe > Everything

  • Thats a bus vs a bug bus!

  • why do they make suv hybrids anyway

  • This has to be the dumbest review ever. Why is that when an American buys a 6.0 v8 with an electric motor, its ok for the environment? Stop being so dumb and get your facts straight. Diesels are more economical, last longer and their torgue is through the roof. Europeans have been using diesels for decades with no problem. Wake up America.

  • @pimpninja1985 i think its because diesel is way more expensive than regular petrol, but still a 6.0 v8 hybrid sounds ridiculous. and why do they need huge suvs? get a vw touareg and keep the change ;)

  • @besplatno69 I agree 100%. A 6.0 v8 hybrid is ridiculous lol

  • WTF mercedes vs chevy?! that's like comparing eminem vs justin bieber, mercedes destroys chevy in every way !

  • 6 liter hybrid, hahahaha...hahahaha...hahahahaha.....oh man I love americans.

  • After 20 yrs, which car u think will still be running perfectly? A GM Hybrid? Or a strong Merc Diesel? Or trake another try: Take a 900km Journey on the german Autobahn. The GL will be more efficient, faster and even more comfortable. BTW: The Tahoe has a bad chassis in comparison to the GL. I guess u never even drove a Merc.

  • @MaxXTVBlackBerry well...the other thing is you never drove a tahoe before...

plus it is better for towing with the giant v8

  • @biertier99 I would say, rhe Gl is as good as the Tahoe at towing, because the Gl Diesel has 400 lb-ft from up 1600 rpm and the Tahoe has 367 lb-ft @ 4100 rpm.

  • Hey GM - Diesel engines are very popular in Europe, start to built the Chevy Tahoe with a Turbo Diesel Engine and we european's buy it !!!!! Thanks a lot.

  • Most of the stuff in this has nothing to do with Diesel vs Hybrid...

They should put the duramax in the tahoe and suburban.

  • @bacon57 now you have the right idea my friend. or if they wanted they could take a diesel from an isuzu box van or the like and put a killer tranny in it and get way awesome power and efficiency.

  • this is the shitiest video ever

this fag argues about this benz haveing big wheels as a feature!!!

    faggots!

  • gm sucks

  • The chevy looks way better than the benz. German autos are SO overated its absolutely pathetic.

  • @eyeBblowed hahahah, ye if you like plain boxes. GM is dying, face the facts, hate mercedes all you want, but you know what? its 1 of the strongest/best car companies in the world.

  • @ 4:27

Litterbug... that's not very environmentally friendly... oh btw, screw the hybrid nonsense, diesel 4 LIFE!

  • Comment removed

  • kinda weird comparing a pussy hybrid to a manly diesel, either way hybrids are pussy shit

  • @Sherwin930 You are the first person in the world calling a Tahoe a pussy, great work...

  • @CDTbossy i actually love the tahoe i hate hybrids i think any hybrid car is a pussy car >:]

  • @Sherwin930 yeah fuck hybrids

  • your comparison is like comparing Caviar to Peanut butter, each having nothing to do with each other, ones a diesel the others a hybrid, ones a Chevy red neck truck the others a European engineered beast..... you should test two hyprids or two diseals against each other not a 6 liter GM versus a 3.0 Diesel Benz

  • desiel always wins over hybrid. especially when its a poorly designed hybrid.

  • you cant compare an suv to a truck, Dumbasses!

I choose the tahoe anyday too.

  • tahoe have 6l. v8 and the gl 320cdi 3.2l v6 diesel . this is stupid ,,why not the gl 420 cdi diesel v8 .. v8 vs v8

  • @MrBeskem

these 2 are in the same Price Class

  • @MrBeskem becuase you make the same power with less fuel used. even being a v8 it could make better fuel efficiency, deisels are superior to hybrids, especially ones form gm.

  • Might wanna take the pricetag off your cap there buddy!

  • Diesel electric is the way to go. Cat just came out with a new bulldozer that is powered by a diesel generator. Just like a big ol train! And its more fuel efficient AND more powerful than just diesel. And way better than a stupid petrol hybrid system.

  • absolutely stupid large motor by having a 8cly. why not just make it about 4.2l diesel or make it an option of having same motor as a diesel. I have a diesel work truck.. absolutely fantastic on fuel,,, no comparison.

  • This must be the joke of the century. A 6 litre V8 with a electric engine. Why not downsize the regular engine, no need to fit in a electric motor. Man, only Americans are able to come up with such a car...

  • lol no hippie would drive anything with a v8 period.

  • diesel for the win.

  • they would be doing a lot better to merge the two technologies, and make the diesel a hybrid.

  • Hybrid people driving people now

  • thats a dumb chick lol diesel has so much more over gasoline

  • She loves hybrids because they're green? Do you know what it takes to make a battery? A gasoline electric hybrid makes no sense at all! Diesel all the way!

  • Erin, honey, if you think hybrids are "green" you REALLY need to go see some land around any given nickel mine where the metal is dug from the earth to make the GIGANTIC battery (only fractionally recyclable) for your "at one with the earth" hybrid.

    Can anyone spell "TAILINGS LEACHANT?"

BTW, diesel engines, last about three times longer than a comparable power gas engine.

Government Motors=Scrap Iron and Bob Lutz=Idiot.

  • See...I had to get a hybrid...I just...*closes eyes* couldn't watch the Earth being polluted any more. Of course, not EVERYONE can be as progressive as I. *closes eyes again* THAAAANKS!!!

  • @Rudolf

No one is saying that that's wrong! All that that proves is that Americans are predisposed to making better full sized SUVs for American roads- after all, this is an American video. I wouldn't expect just any family to take a liking to a Honda Pilot or GMC Acadia over there.

(As a sidenote, Americans are getting away from full size SUVs such as Tahoes- there is no subs for a Suburban to a big family, but impractical barges like that and the Hummers are just plain out of style)

  • @bg1379

Not all of us are getting away from big SUV's. As a family of 6, we've had 2 Suburbans, an '89 2500 4x4 and our current '04 2500 4x4 with the 8.1 L V8. We like the interior room, the power and ability to tow my racecar or our camper (38'-11k lbs.). I'm actually considering replacing our minivan ('00 Olds) with a newer 1500 Suburban. It'll still get in the low -mid 20's on the highway, plus you won't need a roof/cargo box on top to fit luggage and such while traveling or on vacation.

  • That's what I: meant when I said "there is no subs for a Suburban to a big family"- the Suburban is the lone exception to large SUVs that can be warranted when there is a big family, and there is no substitution to a Suburban.

  • @70camaro406 diesel diesel diesel dieesel diesel diesel diesel diesel

  • @12valvepower1

When the new Duramax 4.5 comes out, I'll definitely consider it. They just need to get it to market! Otherwise, we'll make do with gas burners...plus, the gas engines are way cheaper...initial cost and maintenance wise.

  • @ZygagizGifoto I just bought a 2009 Gmc Yukon 3 days ago that makes me have 3 gm suvs 2009 Chevy Tahoe LT 2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 and a 2009 Gmc Yukon. I bought the Yukon with the money I got from selling my 2008 Escalade

  • 20mpg combined mpg is not impressive. I got that in a Ford E350 Club Wagon 15 passenger van with a 7.3 IDI diesel. Much bigger and much much heavier. Not as fast, but wasn't no slouch either.

  • Just surrender America, European cars are way better!:)

  • Comment removed

  • Europeans don't know what a full size SUV is. Even the Audi Q7 is not a full size SUV in my eyes. Compared to Dodge Rams and Ford F-250 it's like a toy. So this is no comparison. It's like you compare a smart to a camaro.

  • @muscle1983 Cause we dont need to make our 4x4s super big cause we can actually fit into our cars

  • @Andersie91 that's also why europeans get that less children. How would you travel with 3-4 kids and half a dozen luggages in an European car? BTW I'm European and drive a Tahoe. Plus: I love the sound of a big V8.

  • @muscle1983 I'd get a 2010 VW Touran 2.0l TDi 170 with the 7 seat option

  • @muscle1983 bigger is not always better...

  • @Brabus3306 When you say "European cars", you need to be more specific because the only European cars that are in the US are mainly German.

  • Hell my dad's dodge Cummins get's 26 MPG and it weighs 7400 pounds.

  • Tahoe is a very nice car I was in Saudi Arabia are very expensive amount of $ 44140 quality LTZ 4X4 The 4X2 valued at U.S. $ 41300

  • This chavy is one of the worst looking cars i´ve ever seen in my life.

  • That is not a full-sized SUV...

  • God is this review biased or what, the Benz is just not on the same level as the Tahoe. You could get the Tahoe with basically every option the MB has but honestly why in the hell would you want a woodgrain interior in a car thats supposed to be good for the environment?

  • The woodgrain interior might explain why the other Benz models are using silver plastic and carbon fiber materials.

  • lol hippie chick doesnt believe that diesels last quite a bit longer then gas engines.

  • There you got it, domestic-vs-imports dudes.... Real wood trim and Harman/Kardon sound system... And most of all, the Mer handles better, because its lighter and it does not have springs from 100 years ago. And for the engines, the 3.0 liter diesel engine lasts much longer than a similar diesel engine from Chevy.

  • The acting in here is SO cheesy, I doubt she's really a hippy, and he's a 'lumber jack' type. Well it's hard to compare the features really, if they wanted it to be closer, then they could have compared the Escalade Hybrid, but not sure if Escalade came in hybrid back then.

  • That Tahoe would be alot cooler and alot more efficient with a diesel-electric setup like a train.

  • if there were one

  • chevy tahoe with an optional diesel v8 would be quite good i think

  • well hibrids are ok

    we can use less contamination...

as long as they dont make hibrid vipers and vettes...its all good

  • I think hybrids are junk. people think by buying a hybrid they are saving the planet, but they are doing nothing except buying an overpriced, underpowered, maintenance hog. The mpg gains will not offset the initial cost and long term maintenance expense.

  • not only that but the recources needed to make a hybrid do more damage to the planet then a regular diesel or gas engine

  • @hawkermustang in my country the electricity is more expensive than gas lol.

  • Of course Benz

  • you don't compare a benz to a fucking chevy

  • The advantage of diesel is that you can build a car that gets 90 highway MPG (the Lupo 3L) while still having the same power as a 50mpg Prius or Civic.

Diesel offers the same power and torque, but about twice as much mileage.

  • Diesel vehicles get better MPG than gasoline vehicles, but diesel fuel cost more which offsets the any MPG advantage.

  • In the summer, when people turn-off their diesel home heating units, the price of diesel falls below gasoline.

  • Where I live I have not found diesel fuel cheaper than regular unleaded in several years. Now real car on the U.S. market gets 90 Mpg, but I will check out the Lupo.

  • it's cheaper where I live.

  • I am impressed with Tahoe considering it is a much bigger monster (more weight) compared to Merc. But, diesel is always better for fuel economy and with some high tech from VW (being the best for diesel engines), you get a nice clean machine...

  • what kind of a review is this? BENZ RULES

  • benz>chevy

    benz>chevy

    benz>chevy

benz wins over chevy! what a surprise

    gm sucks

  • gm sucks...but benz is also bad

  • hybrids are for pussies

  • Just build a Diesel hybrid car and you dont need to argue anymore :D

  • that would actually be a good idea

  • @icwav Saab-Spyker already planned that with its new cars.

  • @icwav bmw efficiientdynamics vision

  • USA

  • DIESELS, DIESLES, DIESELS....

  • Mercedes is better off road. Compare their heights of chassis'.

  • Hybrids are fucking gay....

  • we have a 91 350SDL with 220,000 miles it gets 24 MPG both ways. Its great big car and going stroing.

  • TA ''HOE'' vs Benz. i love german cars

  • da hoe

  • to bad chevy scrapped there new smaller diesel

germans know there stuff and diesel is a big part of our future

gas is a waste and is pushed on americans so much harder than diesels

not to mention what happens to that battery after its life and during its production

so bad for the enviroment its not even funny

  • fucking hippe shitbag

  • Well hands down, being a 3rd time Mercedes owner, Ill have to say its true, Once you've followed the star, you never go back. My family always owned Chevy or Ford, and we were always satisfied with their performance and longevity. Now that im out on my own, Im finding that Mercedes offers the same, but then also offers luxury and style only Mercedes can deliver.

  • What a WASTE of the stimulus package! Instead of making smaller cars that get 50+ miles per gallon. They make a bigger SUV that gets 20 instead of what, 16 miles per gallon. What the hell are they thinking? I'm not giving a penny to the car industry, let them go bankrupt for their stupidity.

  • anti american hippie

  • The Chevy Tahoe is AMAZING!!! GM really puts effort into the SUV and the Hybrid system as a whole cost around 10K... Add that to the price of a regular Tahoe and thats over what the base MARP is :)

  • Yes yes..of course! He wants to drive Tahoe after Mercedes..DDDD

  • chevy is the way to go

  • under what logic, the've compromised to much of what suvs are meant to do,you lose all the off road capibilty with the low bumper, and the've stripped the towing(which is now lower then a ford explorer v8) only to offer less over all gas milage then there meredes(which dosen't have any of the chevys compromises)

  • First, I don't wanna pay more for diesel when I can fill my Tahoe Hybrid with unleaded plus in LA for 2.02! (Diesel in LA is still over 3 dollars, at least at my station closest to my house) But I also agree with tinmontin, there is no way, 69k?!?

  • My Benz is 27 years old and still does 35 MPG... Screw Hippy Hybrids.

  • Chevrolet Tahoe je do jaja

  • this is gay. First of all no "trucker buddies" will ever say "Hey guys i just bought me a mercedes benz suv with a diesel engine in it." No way in hell!

  • On this continent, diesel's are more popular than petrol's. 60% in fact of all new cars are diesels in Europe even though diesel is usually more expensive by about $1 a gallon more, it makes up for it in economy. My car does 82 MPG, the petrol version does maybe 60 MPG or less.

  • i really apreciate the script on this video, both of these actors deserve Oscar award nominations.

Anyway, i am so confused as to how Edmunds could not come up with an official winner. isnt it obvious?! Considering the Benz is more fuel efficient, more luxurious, better performance, similar price w/ way more options, and also more capable of towing, it seems like the winner to me. Also what would you rather spend 55k on? A chevy or a Benz? GL320 is better than Tahoe. fact, not opinion

  • All you Green Car Idiots are a straight stupid. We live in the land of the FREE, so we can gives a Fuck what we drive. Let the rest of them foos drive the cleaner cars.. More Petro for us V8 Lovers! Also, as for the bailout, if the big 3 don't get it, that mean a lot of Foriegn car makers get shafted too. Did you forget that GM, Ford and Chrysler own a shit load of Euro brands like Mercedes, jaguar and SAAB to name a few? Didn't think so dumb fucks. Keep on wasting Petro, because you can!

  • May i correct you? You live in the land of WASTE and GREED, check my vid called "America you disgust me" and you will be appalled by the amount of oil the US consumes, and how much pollution you cause in comparison to the rest of the world. You can't hide from straight facts. Why drive a car that does 15 MPG when there are cars that do 100 MPG? I get 82 MPG but i still want more, climate change is a priority, it kills thousands of people every day, pull your heads out your arses and realise this

  • i am American, but i agree with your point on America's pollution problems, especially automotive related polution. I keep trying to convince my fellow Americans who feel as if they have to buy a huge SUV to keep up their status rank, to switch to station wagons (estates in Europe). The new Euro station wagons are gorgeous, and is it just me, or is America they only country that even sells SUVs and Minivans?

  • Pollution is the biggest problem in America if you ask me, compared to the rest of the World it just doesn't make sense considering only 5% of the World's population live there. Plenty of economical cars/SUV/station wagons in Europe. On Top Gear, the new Subaru Legacy diesel got over 63 MPG and still does 0-60 in less than 7 secs. SUV and Minivans are available here but were considered a bit of a joke when fuel hit $12 a gallon and road tax jumped to $600 a year! No wonder Range Rover went bust!

  • unfortunately, you are correct. im no environmentalist, but i just never understood the concept of SUVs/Minivans. They are so unpractical. They cant handle for shit, theyre slow, and gas guzzlers. My wife has a 2007 Mercedes E350 4Matic estate and its nicer looking than most luxury SUVs, faster than any V6 Suvs, and isnt harmful to the environment (gets 28-30 mpg on highways)

  • you,ve obovisly never needed an suv or minivan,at one point our driveway was a mud bog, plus i bet you've never tryed to stuff more then 6 people into one car, i have its not fun.Suvs should only be driven by people who use them in my opnion

  • @D41H4T5U no vehicle gets 63 mpg.

The smart car doesn't even do that well and there's nothing that gets better gas milege then the smart car.

  • @bornbillsmith Dude that was 2 years ago FFS! Anyway, in the last 2 years, our fuel has hit $10 a gallon in the UK. But it's ok because there's a new KIA out that does 94 MPG. If you don't beleive me, then why just not use Google?

  • @D41H4T5U The fiat 500 the best small car built even on the highway gets under 40 miles per gallon.

Do you really think you can do better then that.

Even a scooter doesn't get 94 miles per gallon.

Is it possible the numbers you are using are in meters and not miles per gallon.

  • @bornbillsmith I have a Fiat 500 Abarth. In Europe we have better engines and manual transmissions. My old Fiat Panda had the same 1.3 Diesel engine as in the Fiat 500 and it got 82 MPG. To be fair though, the US gallon is around 17% smaller, so 100 MPG would be more like 83 MPG. Just Google "new Kia rio MPG" and tell me what you find out!

  • @D41H4T5U I did and the sedan gets 40 miles to the gallon .

no where near the number you mention.

The gas fiat has a mpg of 30/38 per gallon.

I doubt A Diesel engine and Manuel transmission would make those numbers that much better.

I never heard that a gallon is different in Europe.

I do know Gas isn't sold by the Gallon.

In Europe Gas as well as soda is sold by the liter

I Googled and haven't seen any numbers that you report.

If anything the number are about what I expected.

  • @bornbillsmith Email sent, hope you receive it. Manuals typically use 20% less than autos as YOU drive the car, not the other way around. Diesel engines use up to 30 to 50% less than petrol equivalents, and as said the US gallon is 3.78 litres, the UK gallon is 4.54 so i guess the combination of these things makes the difference. And remember fuel here is $10 a gallon so car makers are always bringing out new efficient engine technology.

  • Dude first of all China produces more emissions yes I know more people live there but less own autos and automobiles are not the biggest problem burning coal is. As for your MPG rant that's not the issue either, it's the type of fuel that's the issue. Why burn petrol when you could be using hydrogen zero emissions and abundant? Pull your head out of your ass and educate yourself, and stop being so butt hurt that my country stopped yours from conquering the world you socialist.

  • To correct you, America has much higher emissions than China. To make you realise: USA = 5% of the World's population, China = 33% of the World's population and yet the USA uses 20% of all the Worlds oil and creates 25% of the entire World's pollution, that's a quarter! Watch my vid called "America you disgust me" you will be surprised at the statistics. BTW way Europe/Japan has invested more money than any other country in developing green technology. USA has poor emission standards for cars.

  • I will not argue your point about Americans and pollution. I took geology last year and I noticed two facts about global warming. 1> Compared to the amount of green house gasses produced by volcanism all of humanity only contributes about 10% per year. 2> Before every major ice age there is a dramatic spike in global warming. While we are part of the problem it is too early to say we are the only fault. Polar inversion could be a factor as it reduces the strength of the Earth's gauss fields.

  • Another thing, Europe produces 95% more cars every year than the USA, that's twice as many, and yet Europe's overall emissions have still dropped by 2 or 3% since 1990, yet America's have risen by 16%. Nice country, just needs to sort out it's emissions!

  • That is aside from my point, but yes emissions could be lower. The real shame is that every American car I have owned gets better gas mileage and lower emissions than the manufacturer claimed, but that is more due to clever tuning than to engineering. I had a 66 Mustang, with out emissions gear, that in 1990 turned in a lower emission score than a then new Honda Civic. As bad as the "big three" are there are things a consumer can do to lower their carbon foot print beyond original manufacture.

  • I have no way of measuring emissions on my car, but i'm guessing it emitted round about the 100 grams of C02 per kilometre when i got 82 MPG, much better mileage than a Prius and emissions lower too.

  • That is certainly better than my old Mustang. What are you driving if I may ask? I have a '56 Ford F-100 pickup waiting till I can find a clean diesel engine to put in it, hopefully a Cummins made after 2002 so I can use bio-diesel and not worry about sub-particulates. I would like to be an environmentally conscious hot-rodder.

  • My car is a Fiat Panda 1.3 turbo diesel. Don't want to sound like a nerd but Fiat are the world's greenest car manufacturer, with average C02 emissions of all their cars of only 137g per kilometre! Environmentaly friendly and hot rod don't often come in the same sentance but go fo it! Have you seen the Koinensegg that runs on bio fuel? Only has a 4.2 litre engine yet it produces 1018 BHP! yes that's 1018 BHP and it runs on eco friendly fuel.

  • Rudolf Diesel intended the diesel engine to run on bio-fuel. Rudolf tested vegetable oils on his engine as early as 1895. He saw that fossil fuels were a limited comodity back when every one else thought oil would last forever. You are correct though the Punto weighs 1000 pounds less than a stock '56 F-100 that will be an advantage in economy, which will translate to lower emissions per year. Still I should get to 60 about three seconds before you do and have a clean conscious when I do it.

  • FIAT eh? Isn't that an acronym for "Fix It Again, Tony"? lol.

  • oooo i've never heard that one before... Check my new ride, Abarth 500!

  • Im just fucking with you man. Truth is, to each his own. You make the payments on your car, not me or anyone else. Hehehehe.

  • True, but I've had a few admirers from the US who like my car, unusual because the car market is so different in the states, they tend not to like small cars, despite their ability and performance (and economy) Do you like my car?

  • Eh... Not for me... It reminds me of the rice burners the younger 18-23 yo crowds try to kit together. Well as far as the small car market, Ive own a Merc 240D, so fuel efficiency is good there too.

  • My old car used to get 82 MPG, i sacrificed economy for performance, now i only get 30 to 40 MPG

  • D41H4T5U

Stop trying to blow smoke up people's ass's. You never owned any vehicle that got 82mpg!

I have to laugh at the fools making false claims on Y/T.

  • Er... yes i did, i'm from the UK thanks. In Europe there are plenty of cars that do between 60 and 100 MPG. My best was 82 MPG in my Fiat, but now fuel has dropped to $6 a gallon, i just bought a sports car. Incredibly though i got 50 MPG in that the other day too! Gotta love Fiat.

  • yeah they don't understand that fuel in the us right now is 2.39 a gallon and i europe its 6 a gallon usually more

  • 300SD woot! lol

  • Actually Koenigsegg has a 4.7 litre motor that runs on E85 (ethanol), not a 4.2 litre. Originally Koenigsegg used a modular 4.6 litre Ford motor and redesigned the heads and added a twin-supercharger system. Since then, they decided to drop the Ford platform and make their own motor from the ground up and that is where the 4.7 litre comes in and it allows for outputs of 806 hp when running on petrol and 1018 hp when running on E85. IMPRESSIVE!!

  • Yeah keep on trucking Americans! LOL... u are just so full of yourself, I bet u are probably on E.I. and all those greedy CEO's and Stupid UAW kills GM/Chrsyler/Ford. And whats wrong with killing off some useless European brands? the more the merrier. Merry Christmas America! LOL

  • and thats why no one wants to buy american cars because there over priced and there crap.... fuck the bail out let another company buy em out maybe they can change the car designs and make them better.

  • Heleluyah! AMEN!

  • diesel forever

  • there is no such thing as a green car

  • Diss suv all you want, I have a 08 tahoe and put some 24'' wheels and as long as it gets better than 15mpg city i could give a fuck less, all you pussies want to pay thousands more for a hybrid or bump your head in a compact to save pennies at the pump are all bitch made, allso if your a man that drives a minivan your the biggest puss every.

  • My car cost less than $9k, is not a hybrid and does 68 MPG, so what am i?

  • you prob have some piece of shit fire fly or a fucking honda shit box, u wanna go with power and luxury, its gotta b a benz

  • Just because a car is good on fuel doesn't mean it's a "shit box" BMW are developing a car that does 100 MPG, again not a hybrid, as are Audi to name but a few. Mercedes make the Smart car remember? inspired by the A class. I think people in Europe look at MPG rather than MPH these days due to carbon based taxes (road tax costs between £35 and £400 a year depending on how much pollution it causes) and fuel costs (cheap now at $6 a gallon) not to mention genuine concern for the environment.

  • what i always wonder.. is why do they talk about "green" cars while standing next to a giant suv.... ? even if they are diesel or hybrid their mpg is still rubbish if your drive a 2500 kg car.

  • 23.9 mpg avg. for a car that can tow 7400lbs....useing a v6!!!!!
