  • jerk tuned the guitar to itself, learning to play this just got hard

  • If at any point, during anybodys song, you think "make it stop", theres no redemption. Why attempt it. Play a song you know. As for this song, check out other versions. It is truly a haunting and beautiful song, when played correctly.

  • the acting in this was fabulous, particularly the love of my life, Ewan. he sings another time in this too. however it was a little hard to watch, especially some scenes...with some stuff...but hey, you get to see his cute butt, right? GOD, im creepy. but i love em.

  • can anyone tell me if this is the song from the story The Dead in Dubliners?? I study English and have been told to find this song but i am unsure if it is this??

  • yes, it is. It is part of a longer ballad, I think, at least I have read a very beautiful version of the whole story in Spanish called "Anabel y Don Grígore".

  • @Talassalum thank you very much :)

  • @dance123ize yes it is this! great sad song! && great story!

  • @dance123ize

    Two months late, I'll tell you: this is definitely the song. It's what makes Gabriel re-recognize his wife's beauty.

  • @dance123ize Hey. Yes, I do believe this appears in The Dead from Dubliners. I'm studying English myself, but haven't yet read the book, but I know for a fact that this appears in Dubliners. Hope this helps.

  • @dance123ize there is a different version sung in The Dead by John Huston. It is hypnotic.

  • I so love this! Thank you for giving it!

  • A Gorgeous tune and a great moment. But don't be tempted to see the rest of the film: this is one of only two moments in it (The second do be when N grabs J by the Jorum!)

    It's not a bad film but entirely dispensable.

  • Dude, the fact that she starts crying towards the end is perfect. I need to see this movie.

    MY name is Nora

    And I as opposed to you, I, have every right to think that ewan mcgregor is in love with ME

    SUCKERS.

  • Even better-- you have every right to think that James Joyce is in love with you!

  • It's a beautiful song.

  • One verse not included here is:

    The rain falls on my yellow locks

    And the dew it wets my skin;

    My babe lies cold within my arms;

    Lord Gregory, let me in.

    Chilling.
