I did this fix a while back and one side effect is that I don't need to push the cart down after inserting it. Did I bend the pins too much or is it alright?
@marutidriver That's perfectly normal. It will stay like that for a while, eventually the pins will get bent back down and you'll need to push the game down again.
I have a Problem with my Nes , so whene i connect the Controller to the Port the Game start to play with it self ! so Please i really need your help People of Nintendo !
@bluorb That's exactly why I made the video. There are hundreds of guides out there, and they all pass over this part. I know the first time I did it, I was rather confused on what to bend.
btw uploader or whoever, if u'd like to reply to that queestion about the other set of pins, please reply me, not dameondemon cuz that was me asking that question not noticing he was still signed in on my computer
i dont understand, its not u man its this other guy. ur fixing up wut this other guy called the 'bottom front row' like i did, yea bending those pins upward to make sure they touch the top. simple enough
but this other dude i'm talking about said that there's a row of 'back connectors' needing bent in place too in the back inside there behind those connectors u bent in place in this vid, u know? i mean is that necessary? is doing that 'back row' just doing more than we even have to worry about?
@92soothsayer The row I bend in the video is the only one that needs to be bent. There is another row above this one, but they're impossible to get to, and as long as this row is bent properly, the game will contact both with no problem.
The other guy may also be referring to the two rows of pins that connect to the board on the NES console. But those do not need bent because they're always stationary.
@TheNESRules alright man thanx a lot. but u know wut sucks for me really bad? before i knew wut ur telling me, i found a video of how to adjust those top pins, like by taking them out of the back. it's a good method just i wasn't that careful and snapped one of the pins! fuk me. i was ready to hook it up and jam out. oh well guess i'll hav to find one on ebay
@TheNESRules You can bend the top row if you use a safety pin but it is tedious work. I have done both rows and it still did not work-don't forget to clean the contacts on the circuit board(top and bottom)with brasso or some fine abrasive, so when you put the connector back on it makes perfect contact. That is ususaly overlooked but is very important(because even with a new 72 pin replacement still this needs to be done). Good Luck!
@nrg16108 I use a pencil eraser to clean the circuit board pins in the games and then finish with a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol on the games and just the cloth on the system's circuit board since its usually not very dirty anyway.
i did this fix and i need to push the card, did i pushed them u too much?

Thanks for being the first one that put up a video that showed a close up of the fix! Isn't that really the only important part?

@andrewmatismfilms
Its a 90 degree bend pick, if you search the Sears website, item #00941513000 is the exact set that I have.

There is a back row very difficult to get to. i got to them by taking the top plastic cover off with a dremel tool.
ziggman2002 9 months ago
this video showed the pins much better, is it just that one row to bend?
Lagnewb 10 months ago
@Lagnewb Yes, this is the only row you need to bend.
