yes - 100 on each side for 10-12 reps is pretty damn respectable .. this guy's no "spring chicken" - I'm doing 120's @ 58 yrs old for about 6 or 7 reps, and I can tell ya, it ain't no picnic, if you're not a big beefy behemoth like some of these " 'roid monsters" on here .. you keep on keepin' on, dude .. looks great !
if i'm doing dumbbell presses and i choose not to bring the dumbbells together at full extension am I doing it wrong? at the moment I'm doing the presses with the dumbbells more spread out from each other, as if i was using a barbell. 100 lbs is my goal, im just over half way, LONG WAY TO GO.
Actually if you have being pushing fpr a while its not that hard..its just below my max on 5 to 7 reps and im not that big.. actually im out of shape at the moment.. so impressive but not that impresive
you can tell it is a full 110 and not fake as his last rep has one arm up and one failing which is common for the last rep when one fails.
these videos are filled with people using weights that are made of some type of metal alloy (Magnesium/aluminum) and bars that are made to bend and clank like the real thing. They often weight 50% or less of what they should. I know a friend who told me the sales of these “alloy” plates and dumbbells is doing very well as he deals in them
good job dude i stopped at 90's when i hurt my shoulder took 3 months off now im back to 80s i need to get my arms and shoulder up so i dont hurt myself again
@06livefast The title is called 110 b Dumbell Press. There was no need to show legs because the muscle groups that involve that press are chest, triceps, and shoulders.
@gh4pwner it is, but i figured since we all love fitness and achieving a healthy lifestyle, tat balance would come into play.. train your legs hitler.
@06livefast I will repeat myself, the point of this video is to show you that this man can dumbbell press 110 pounds. It is unnecessary to prove anything else but that. If he wanted to show legs, he would call his video "110 b Dumbbell Press & Leg posing"
@06livefast Well, to look good for who... others, or yourself? I only do it to look good for myself, personally. I don't give two shits if women approach me in bars or want to suck my dick. I like to look huge for MYSELF.
@grong1 either raises or biceps as they are positioned on the sides and he is seated. but if you really wanna have fun, take a look at the stand with weights in the beginning of the video. i understand they entertain you
Its easy to re-rack the weights without making a sound when you lifting light weights. I have never ever seen anyone handling real weights, from the neighborhood guys, to amateurs, and pros not put the weights down hard when you are lifting real heavy weights. Keep putting those 60 pound weights away quietly , bitch.
P.S. there is a 1000 videos on youtube, of all type of guys lifting heavy weights and no one puts them away quietly when going to the max.
@toolbagcentral hey dopie...those weights are made for dropping!!! Thats why they are rubber. Spend a few couple bucks on a legit gym and maybe you too, one day, can drop the weights!!!
@toolbagcentral They slam the weight because they're trying to get the most out of their workout, and obviously they can do the weight if they're lifting it.. You probably aren't the strongest person if you're not trying to fight for the last rep
That is incredibly impressive. I started working out about 6 months ago (Im 19) and I hope I can make it to those dumbbells hahah I can get 75s but damn 80s get me everytime! Much respect. I hope to still be working out when Im older too
Fantastic liftin bro.Damn perfect form with a heavy weight. So many videos on here you see people doing half reps but you look as though you couldve handled way more, but i see what you mean by going by feel.Motivating stuff
damn brutha did you say 49???if soo that friggin rocks. see theres the proof! there is a fountain of youth and its found at a gym near you lol!. great set bro
I'm 41 married to a 23 year old. I obviously look very young for my age and i hit the gym about 3 times a week. Shoulders are a constant problen for me. Ive done the srteroidal shots, but i find at our age taking longer periods to recover makes all the difference in the world. I stick around 70"s to 75's for d bell press 85' to 90 for shrugs. Once again though longer recovery is key for us! This guy is just amazing!
I used to weigh 280lbs 9 months ago, now I'm weighing 237lbs. I bench 275lbs and can dumbbell press 100lbs for 5 reps.
I don't take any protein shakes or pre-workout supplements. All I eat before workout is a sandwich/fruit/milk and after my workout I eat my dinner, which is any type of meat, and lots of greens, then I mix up a smoothie with frozen fruits and water, sometimes yoghurt. All natural.
That's terrific!!!! I'm 55 and trying to get back into shape. I'm having alot of shoulder problems when trying to go heavy. Do you have any suggestions? Let's hear for the middle age guys
I too have shoulder issues when I go heavy. I focus on form and not so much on the weight. When I bench I stay at 225 to 275 for reps. 315 is more of a max day which I only do once in a while. I find when I focus on the form the weight will increase over time and you will get much better results.
@1daddysdream im 19, but i have a bro who is like 28 and has a blown out shoulder. i would just stay light. you have a high chance of getting really hurt if you go to heavy. if you are trying to get bigger and you must do heavy weight, stick to the smith machine as you can always lock the weight if it hurts.
@1daddysdream I'm 41 and having shoulder problems as well. Quite common actually - I found out. Find a low kilo/lbs (= 8kg/18lbs) dumbbell. Bend slightly forward and let your arm relax and the weight pull at your arm. Now move it in small circles - first one way and then the other. This will lubricate your shoulders a bit and take some of the pain. Hold the dumbbell with a lose grip to avoid tension. Hope it works for you like it works for me.
@1daddysdream YOU DONT HAVE TO GO HEAVY TO GET IN SHAPE. AT YOUR AGE YOUR HEALTH IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN BULKING DUDE. JUST WORK OUT WITH WHAT YOU CAN.
dumbells are a bitch to lockout. by doing that with dumbbells where was your barbell bench at? i switched over to dumbbells for a while in hopes of improving my barbell bench and giving my shoulder a rest
