Why some have been suckered into believing that 'liberal' equals 'tax & spend' is testimony to how utterly gullible they are.

The biggest spenders are historically republicans - be they presidents or congress.

The difference: republicans spend money on pet projects and war, and democrats tend to invest in the country - infrastructure and humanity over corporate gifting and the profit of killing humans and destroying nations.
