  • Thanks for sharing. Love this stuff.

  • Fake. More moon landing hoax. Smoking gun evidence that Chemtrails were used for implanted memories from the spraying. No way they are spraying mosquitos on a crowded beach in launch-restricted airspace. Invisible rocket - just a ball of light and some smoke? We are supposed to believe crappy NASA fake special effects? If voiceover is 35 years later why do they still sound like little kids. Don't buy it sheeple.

(Nevermind - just having some fun in the style of a hoax believer...)

Whew! You had me going for a minute there. Believe me, I've dealt with enough of them. You've got them down pat.

Thanks to SNWombat for uploading this. Very nostalgic.

  • tumbs up if you muted at 1:03

  • 0:39 best part of the clip

  • @FantasticBob7000 lol, yes sir. Beach babes looked the same back then apparantly as they do today. This one in particular reminded me of the girl Bo Derek plays in "10." Just smoking hot.

  • Great video, loved the accompanying comments too. I saw the next one, Apollo 16, sitting on the pad. Unfortunately, it wasn't on the day of the launch, however.

  • Looks like Jetty Park. Wish I could have been there!

  • Great shots! Listening to this family talks reminds me of my own family and growing up. I sure do miss that.

  • amazing years!

  • wonderful video..thank you

  • Very very nice. And your family voiceover is terrific. You sound like a very good family. Cheers to you!

  • with that thumb you should have accumulated 100k views:)

  • Simply phenomenal to own a treasure like this. This is only the second home video of any of the Apollo launches I've ever seen, it's absolutely beautiful.

  • nevermind the launch. who's the hottie at 041??

  • @cciemail Damn right!!!

  • holy crap, the ground shook on the beach? thats pretty cool

  • @severrnijKGU There was once a test of the Saturn V engines, and the end result was people 50 miles away thinking they were having an earth quake.

  • es uno de los videos mas bonitos que hay en you tube.

  • Fantastic! Love the kids with their exuberant commentary.

  • wow, this must have been pretty loud

  • What a wonderful day to remember, I'd guess one of the "kids" has now digitised the memories (!)

  • I am born in July

  • It's amazing to realize that that little dot that separated and continued onward was large enough to contain yet another spaceship, tucked neatly inside. And, of course, that craft contained two propulsion systems, one to be discarded on the moon upon lunar take-off, and one integrated into the ascent stage. A lot of combustible firepower within firepower, that's what the Saturn V rockets mostly were; and in the end all of it was used without an incident, from earth to the moon and back.

  • Amazing historic footage.

Not to be trivial, but I really like the cute bikini girl too.

  • hey, just discovered this video by coincidence. Awesome footage. My wife and I were at Cocoa Beach in 1984, watching the launch of Challenger STS-41G.

  • This is a great video of an old super 8 film, dubbed to video. There's probably millions of feet of Apollo launches still in 8mm film form only. Thanks so much for uploading this. It must have been an incredible experience to watch, hear, and feel it take off.

  • This is really impressive home movie of an historic event. It would be great if just the people who were there could recount their memories - not that REALLY annoying kid / kids who wasn't, and ruins your video!

  • i'd have been irritated at the silly comments in the background but, ah, youth
