my first round opponent cheated him self with worldly counsel he did not know nonbasic lands can have basic landtypes in their rule text as long as it has the little vasic land icon in the text

i think he killed it in responce to devour dont think he countered it couldnt really tell what he used though, if it would have been unkillable after the devour ability he shouldnt have been able to kill it as you cant respond to devour only to the creature being cast, and he did say, " In responce to devour..." which would be wrong, the asian guy may have cheated there.
