wow. brings back crazy memories of the storm. Feels like yesterday--the music too. i remember watching the weather channel nonstop sitting in my apartment 40 floors up on 50th and 8th ave in nyc. i walked out to pick up a pizza in times square and had to walk backwards across 50th to famiglias pizza. Snow blew into my back pockets and when i took my wallet out their was snow in it. The guy in the pizza place laughed. Wheni walked out there were snowmobiles going down broadway
...And an ad crawl advertising BATMAN FOREVER ON PAY-PER-VIEW! HOLY PAY-PER-VIEW, BATMAN! If they did an ad crawl like that today, it would be for "Batman: The Dark Knight."
I've been living near washington DC for the last 19 years. We already had 1 foot of snow on the ground at 11:45am on Jan.7,1996. I guess JFK airport was getting theirs later.
I just cant get over what a flashback this is giving me I think 15-16 at the time. Smoking weed all was real quiet outside. This is exactly what I saw on my TV...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat upload.
What was scary as i was living in the New York City area at time, was a week before that 1996 'blizzard,' it was a very warm Christmas/New Years Holiday season.
Check out the unfinished appearance of the Extended Forecast at 1:50.

This blizzard gave me 48", the most snow I've ever seen in my life. Naturally, I can't forget this song as it debuted at the same time.

Insane.
I got 30 inches. I was only 2 1/2, but I remember this like it was yesterday. My dad made a HUGE igloo. SO MUCH FUN! =D

The crawl is advertising "Batman Forever" on Pay-Per-View. Kinda fitting since the green precipitation on the radar reminds me of the Riddler.

Still, its NOT right to do that.

Technically, weatherman729 should ask permission *before* reposting.
But then, I guess technically twcclassics should ask TWC's permission before posting, as well.
