  • yeh great. nothing like being run over my your mate who is tailgating you. great work

  • Use your knee so you don't go too far over. Provided you have a dragger.

  • People need to chill with the innocent life bullshit. Its a bike not a goddamn cement truck

  • lol...badump badump...are you alright?! thank goodness you werent following in a car!!

  • learn how to ride or stay off the road. Actually.. just stay off the road.

  • This guy needs to stay on the expressway.

  • sorry but i hate bikers who lean on the yellow line around a blind corner. Seriously my bumper probably wont taste too good so just keep it a little more outside

  • thats what happens when you hit the break in the turn. good job getting down though

  • At least these guys aren't driving like idiots, the dragon is full of morons in cars and on bikes passing on the double yellow in blind curves.

I don't see what's so special about the dragon either, I live in Asheville, NC and we have roads like that every where... I guess it's good all the morons are driving in Tennessee rather than in front of my house in NC.

  • LoveYourMonsterMusic Never rode on "The dragon" But it does not look so special, There maybe more curves in a short distance. But for the most part the curves are fairly flat. So I know what your saying, The mountains of TN, NC/VA..There are many roads like this, and less crowded. They maybe shorter, Or not ? But there are many roads with more challenging curves. Must be like that where you live. I live in Green county, TN right over the mountain from Asheville, NC. Ride safe, yl

  • This is why we don't follow so closely....

  • too much lean, too little speed.

  • No wonder insurance for sport bikes is so high. Thanks

  • crash is at 2:07. stop riding like assholes people.

  • Not good!

  • did the camera bike run over the crasher

  • did it go over

  • haha lance armstrong on a motorcycle on camber

  • You do have to stay in your lane but there is still an apex.He went into the corner in the middle of the lane.if you pause it at right at 2:04,2:05.He should have been more to the left closer to the yellow. Then he would have had more choices for the exit.

  • I ride the dragon twice a year and have for the past five years this happens alot when you exceed your limits and I have seen some crazy people until you ride the dragon You won't understand

  • I'v enoticed that whoever it is defending these guys is taking it very personal. Much like women do. My point is this, I don't give a rat's fart if these guys or any other guys wreck their bikes all day long. If you want to go to a closed course where no one else's innocent life is at stake, knock yourself out. What happens when this guy or all of the guys and girls like him take a right hander and end up going high side through someone's windsheil and wiping out a family? The dragon is public.

  • get ur arse off the bike when cornering

  • get ur arse off the bike u numpty

  • You guys were keeping a good, fun pace... till he low sided & Got run over

  • I've been to the gap a couple times now as a beginner rider and I can tell that this guy wasn't doing anything stupid aside from reaching his limit. Like people mentioned before the riding position was all wrong and he leaned the bike too much. It happens. Glad he is ok and better luck next time. Learn your lesson. He wasn't riding crazy.

  • this guy CANNOT ride.. look how shaky he is going semi straight... no ones fault but his own.. he CANNOT ride

  • @drops600rr Thanks for clearing that up for me, I thought it was the cars fault.........

  • @nghpham he's still a moron. Nothing else to say really. You handled that for me.

  • I'm fine I didn't go down! Lol! :P

  • Vixe mano!! que vídeo. ainda bem q nao aconteceu nada de mais grave Graças a Deus !!! Belo vídeo caras!

  • DUCHBAG

  • Morons like this are what make riding the Gap not worth the risk.

  • epi = wipeout

  • Epic man! Like the music...."Going the distance" hahahahaha...right!

The part where the camera bike ran you over was smooth as baby shit.

Are you guys still alive? It's a wonder!

That place really is a moron magnet.

  • You wouldn't have ran over your buddy if you weren't trying to ride up his ass.

  • what kind of tires were you running on?

  • @Nivek491 I was thinking the same thing, but not sure how much that would have helped on that cold ass pavement.

  • Hopefully these guys haven't bred yet and will soon be out of the gene pool.

  • Not only was he leaning too much... he braked in an extremely hard lean. I drive recklessly at times, but damn mad, I do it in familiar areas where I at least have the boost in chance do to familiarity of the road. If you don't run this road every single day, you don't know it well enough to ride like that. And I know it gets said often, but don't do stuff like that in public areas where you don't have a clue what's on the other corner.

  • Moron!

  • That's some funny ass shit! His buddy totally nails him. F'n squids.....

  • Help you?! Nah fuck that someone else can, I mean I ran u over, prolly fell bc I was too close pushing ur limits. I mean I'm here for the video and hate to say this but it got better when I ran u over. I mean c'mon, you see that? Haha that's me hitting u wit my bike! I'll play it again.... Again.... Again.... Lol

  • this is why we dont ride 5 feet behind ur buddy while riding the gap

  • Comment removed

  • haha "this is gonna be a hell of a video.. buddy... oh yeah.." i just caught on camera how i ran over ur 4ss my friend :)

  • shouldnt of bin up his ass like that... i dont care if he is ricky haden i still wouldnt follow somebody that close jackass

  • @f44life Who the "F" is ricky haden and why do we care?

  • @r6andmonstercrasher just so you would ask... I dont care how good you are you should never follow somebody that close unless your on a track day on a track

  • I was alright till you ran over my ass......

  • Are you alright? Are you sure...?? Bcuz I just pretty much rode over you....

  • Get the upper part of your body of the bike, not just the lower. He is all twisted up. Butt off, but his chest is over the tank, needs to be parallel with tank. I learned the hard way also. :)

  • to much lean ... pedal touch the ground and made the back tire "go light" ... no contact equals a slide out ... good gear is AWESOME! could have been alot worse

  • GEAR!

    It's a Wonderful thing! :)

  • hows the gixxer?

  • did the camera bike go over the top of the downed rider?

  • looks like he DID run his buddy over

  • Why did you crash ???

  • 2:05 to get to the point

  • gotta love that ending "gonna be a hell of a video buddy" - it's good that everyone was basically ok and that people stopped to help with some "oh shit"

  • Didn't like his body position going into the turn. Looks like he was fighting the bike. Get those shoulders into the turn & your head is waaay too over the top!! Glad he's okay tho. Unfortunately, that's what happens when you want to play, you pay sometimes!!!

  • did i see a brake light just as hr crashed?

  • fuck guys i'm a biker too, but damn is it worth putting yuorself and others at such risk? ... no fucking way!!! use race track instead!!!!...

  • Oh you CRAZY kids!!! Do you compete in races professionally? If not perhaps you should. Stay as safe as you can while you are on the edge (may the force be with you)!

  • I would love to ride on the track. Will you sponsor me because I cant afford the $250 entry fee.

  • can you afford the £10,000 new bike fee?

  • hmmm

riding is fun, crashing not...he was lucky that he was not hurt....

do not drive that fast, you do not need too. take your time, look at the nice nature around and have fun :)

  • omg head shooooot

  • bad tyres...try to use the metzeler racetech

  • why did he lost control? road was slippery?

  • Sh!t happens Epi; live to ride another day bro. We all make mistakes; just be glad it was a low side. I'm sure the camera guy learned not to ride so close. Great footage 5X.

  • Just so you all know, accident is at 2:05.

  • following too close man, still glad it worked out and no-one got too busted up :)

Love the roads down that way, wish we had some like that over here ;)

  • Just glad he didnt get killed.

  • Outh man !!

let the brakes out when you enter the turne !!

and get some body position training..

    keep riding !!

  • Why is it Americans have such difficulty getting their knee down properly? It'd make the bike a lot more stable in the corners guys...

  • i dream of days where i might have the chance to ride that road. i don't own a bike, yet, but when i do i'm deffinately gonna checc out the dragon!

  • OUCH GLAD HE LIVED LOL

  • I'm glad you are ok man!

  • learn to be smooth and for fuc* sake start to learn how to hang off

  • Oh, and your mates an ass for riding so close that he almost run over your head. But hey at least he asked if you were ok. What a guy.

  • Sorry Epi but you cant ride for shit. Atrocious use of the available road, too much line clippin, wank body position (if any) and who the fuck hits the anchors mid sweep? Fella, let your bike run through bends and stick yer head where you want it to go, its more capable than you are so trust it. Dont squid dude.

  • shoulda been using that knee

  • and he hit the guy

  • lol i dont beleive he was braking.... went to fast so had to lean in more till his peg hit and lifted the tire off a bit there loss of grip and yeah, next time dont be following so close eh?

  • Comment removed

  • Thats why you don't brake in corners

  • your a squid

  • go straight to 2:00

  • Shouldnt have been following so close...

  • Could have cut out the first 2 minutes and got to the point

  • u need to get ur knee out more... so u can tell how far the bike is over. if u had ur knee all the way out u would not have crashed!! same thing happened to me when i first started riding.

  • heppy? peppy? hippy? pippy? - mom not like you. (she put oil on ur tire)

  • This accident could v been avoided if the first rider knew how to hang in turns. Notice how he only hangs his ass out while hes shoulders and head stay in the middel. The result is that you dont have awareness on how far you van lean and eventually lean to far like this guy. always keep your head and shoulders pointed were you want to go. It will tell you much more about how much angle you got left and gives you better oversight in cornering.

  • one thing is for sure... your bike has a damn good suspension !! ;P

  • just looking at the rider in front i knew he would cause the accident. clearly he is a rookie and needs more practice on the turns.

  • "Are you okay?"

    "I'm fine, I didn't go down."

    I went OVER!

  • LOL

  • Tree 'o shame for you sir...

  • Some Friend!! Rode right over him!!

    That is so funny!!

Lose the STUPID music, it SUCKS!!

    'going the distance'... GAY

  • Can't believe I see a motorcycle crash on youtube and no one blames a car for the accident. Well done.

  • what are you talking about a car didnt hit him

  • you're joking! you mean you didn't see the reckless car that caused that!

    you must be blind...

ITS ALWAYS THE CAR DRIVER AT FAULT

  • Pepi you alright?

    Pepi you alright?

No you daft C**t, you've just ran over me!!

  • The first 2 mins of this video, are minutes of my life that ill never get back..

  • hahahahahahhahaha

so true - You have just read my mind!

  • should have skipped 2 the crash :D

    its wat i always do

  • and that time you put in to the making of the comment.

    You'll never get that back!

I'd sue if I was you!!!

  • thats not target fixation...he was too close to him....he had less then a second from fall to funning him over...target fixation is the dude that runs off the road to avoid the truck in his lane ...

  • holy shit what a squid !!! where the hell did you learn to ride need to get your lines straight ...glad i was not there that day had i been behind u and seen this would have laughed your ass out once i made sure u were ok of course

  • I hope that both of you guys are okay.

  • Ahh, tough luck lads! Your boy Epi had some poor lines though. Funny as fook that you ran him over but glad your both ok. These things happen.

  • Please, do yourself and all riders a favor and heed your own advice.

  • ever heard of target fixation?? thats why he hit ''epi''

  • rad

  • That crash was completely rider error. You need to pick better lines and learn to corner - a track day is in order. That was reaaallly bad riding up until the crash...

  • This is exactly why noobs on sport bikes shouldn't be allowed at the dragon.

  • 2 dumb asses LOL one for layin it down the other for running into him.

Hey you dropped it, let me see if I can hurt you more by running you over DUH

  • B mo smooth with you entry and you buddy will not drive over you as much.

  • "epi, are you alright? are you alright?"

epi relies "no bitch, you ran me over fooo

    lmao.

well thats how it should've gone!

    hope your ok dude.

  • that bike in the back ground noise sounds FREAKIN WICKED!

  • to all the idiots that think they know what happened... I agree rider error was in place but the lowside occurred from dragging hard parts try to get your butt off the seat a little more to keep the bike more upright and for the camera man never come to a complete stop in an oncoming lane...

  • Too much rear brake. It looked like you got frightened and pushed your rear brake in all the way not knowing you did it.

  • you are realy lucky!!!!!! but what's appen when you crash?? sorry lenguage....i'm italian

  • his name

  • you put your knee out as a guide to tell you not to go any farther over. but your pegs should of scraped telling you to much lean. Your good rider keep dragging don't quit

  • what a dumb shit of biker; why do they insist on running it like its some closed circuit track? like I say people who do this on PUBLIC roads are irresponsible and stupid; if there happens to be oncoming traffic, say a gmc suburban or pickup truck, it could have been ended much worse!

  • dude put you knee out... if you had your knee out you would not have fell.. drag that shit dont be scared..

  • hafta agree if he had his knee out it might have been able to catch it and just run abit wide, but all 'if's' and 'but' now tho

  • what got run over and how bad was the bike messed up?

  • I think it was his mate that he ran over. Lucky!!

  • A way to tell someone is riding over their head is to observe where they are braking or generally slowing. Try slowing the bike before you turn it in, to a speed that allows you to be on the throttle, at least a bit for the rest of the curve.

This rider also slides their rear off the seat in corners with his upper body over the centerline of the bike and his helmet between the grips.

As he goes down you can see him pulling on the bars, butt off the seat, and still on the brakes.

    Glad he's OK.

  • To a non rider where is the "gap"

  • Deal's gap is a former logging road in the Smokey Mountains.....East Tennessee and the Carolinas.

  • Your friend was lucky there was no traffic from the opposite direction at the time of the crash.

Seems like your bike was pretty ok too.

  • lol,,are you alright! are you alright! fuck no, you just ran over me you twat lol.

  • thats fuckin halaaaaarrioous haha "YOU TWAT"

  • Get yer ass offa the seat! Grip the tank with yer knees! No weight on yer hands, only steering input! And fer crissake, ferget the rear brake!

    Glad yer ok!

  • Damn were u ok. Being hit by a bike isnt something ive experienced. Nor something i want to.

  • Way to get back on it, adda boy.

  • Funny. I got a ticket for 30 over, right where you crashed. That was really nice of that other rider. A perfect example of how we need to stick together.

  • right. i stop for every rider i see on the side of the road

  • 30 over, you must had be railin hard! Just got back today from my first trip to the dragon.

  • Perfect example of how sometimes us riders have no control over over the dangers of the road. A few pebbles or a bit of unseen oil and you're down. Shit happens and sometimes it happens hard!

  • I saw the break light.Like he hit the rear break and low sided.

  • Little too close to your buddy there eh?

  • 1. Front rider should hang off en scrape his knee, not his footpegs.

    2. Second rider should keep looking where he wants to go. You could have finished the curve without driving over your buddie(s arm?).

    3. A well, everbody's okay! Ride on!!!!

  • love the sound of the bikes when he stops..hear the bikes in the background awsome!

  • Way to follow to close.....

  • Following too close? Looked like he had plenty of room to me. Get out to the track and rub tires with some guys. ;)

  • Its a public road.

  • You sound like a public douche bag.

  • did that guy get run over? i cant tell thats insane though

im scared ot turns.. mostly because things like this.. only thing kinda scaring me about getting a bike soon

  • Don't stress it imhockeygirl. Just take it easy and ride at the pace your comfortable with. Confidence comes from experiance. Look around for a riders forum thats local to you, and you will find that the riding community is really helpful and supportive. :)

  • Haha. The curves are what riding is all about.

  • if people would learn how to drive on the Dragon, we wouldn't have accidents like this.

  • Yeah, professional never wreck huh. Additionally, it's "ride" the dragon, not drive. Ahh the brilliance!

  • I hear him calling your name then, "Oh shit!"

    Lol.

  • ok he had a spin out ok dum ass he wasent raceing thought it that reg speed for a conner and i could have went thought the same conner on my VStar that a fucking bagger bike and been ok and safe to make it and im only 15and just started riding last year ok and it DRIVER that lose respect for bike so next time ur on the road look out for us cuz 90# of the time it cars that make a biker crash and 5% of crash are from roads having rocks or other shit on and the last 5% is from the bad bikers

  • great vidoeo, like your biddy said. glad your ok tho!

  • "Oh I'm fine I didn't go down" hahaha.

  • did he go to slow for the turn or did he lean in on it to much? Or both? (I'm getting one so I need to know what NOT to do) Please don't say don't get one :)

  • search youtube for "MCN knee down" and you'll get some really good pointers on how to hang off the bike so you don't have to lean it so much. By following good form, your legs will get much stronger and you'll have plenty of warning and feedback before it's too late.

The other bike was following a little too close and unfortunately, target fixated on the fallen rider ... therefore running him over.

It's a common mistake that we all need to work on.

    Ride safe.

  • thanks I'll check out that MCN knee down

  • he whent to low and jsut lost grip of the tires

  • he dident lean enough and he was a little too low in the turn a lil higher and him might have mad it

  • Low side fall, kinda hard to see, but I think he didn't lean off enough, and leaned his bike over too far, scraped a peg, and hit the rear brake. It could have been alot worse, and the worst part is it looks like they were taking it fairly easy around most of those corners.

Happens to the best of us, watch your following distance and don't push it too hard on unfamiliar roads, be doubly cautious on your own backyard stretch. It's easy to get complacent, a touch of gravel, some fuel on the road..

  • I'm looking for some good gear just for this reason, hot or not hot better than road rash. I've seen what the road can do to a person, still not going to keep me off the bike though :)

  • u are WAAAAY to rough on ur bike in the corners, u gt confidence in coners which is good. Maybe u shoudl get lessons. not in a harsh way, but u gta agree, it would help

  • Atleast he still (happy)

  • Eeek-- darn guys, on his a** a little close, yea?

  • I understand thats a badass stretch of road. I know I've been there. but you don't need to include the first 1:30 of that video.

  • man you guys gotta learn how to ride.. search for 'superbike riding in south africa' to see how it is done.. your body position all wrong

  • your gay

  • awesome

  • No problem with bikers just hells angels

  • not enought speed in that corner man...you aren't in daytona boy.

  • Hey Epi you alright? \

Fuck no, you hit me with your bike dumbass
